Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Low Resistance

Hi Guys,

This is my first post so please bare with me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />.

I've been doing just fine in DivDiv until recently I noticed that as a level 26 mage all of my resistances were at about -3,000,000. When I first saw it, I thought there must have been a bug in the system for the display and thought no more about it. Of course, a couple days worth of play later, I come across an imp who zaps me and I die straight away. This is the same with poison, fire etc....

I know that I haven't taken any "dodgy" potions and I've made sure that all my armour isn't cursed. Is it a bug? I'm hoping that someone has an answer as opposed to reverting to the game last saved before now (about a week ago [shudder]).

I think that'a a bug... this is the best rpg but it have many bugs
It happend to me to : I had to take Mardaneus to council of seven... I defeted demona and all to do then was to pick up the key form Lanilor's huse... I searched the house for the key to Mardaneus' house for setting him free but there was no key

Get the latest patch and it should be solved. You've expirienced what is known as the resistance bug. You had an item with magical barrier skill on it. When you put it off this happens. It is fixed with the patch. You can find it here

This only happend in v1.29 (or the normal install version of cd).

Thanks very much for that. Worked like an absolute treat. You have saved me so much time that I'd rather not think about it. I can now get on with pillaging, hacking and slashing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />.
