I noticed in that a weapon can have +1 skill points. Now that is nice but you already know that skill, It would also be nice to have skills on a sword that can't be leared by skill points. It motivates you more to find rare items.
Special set of skills for rare weapons or sets
Example: Sword of gruesome death 5% chance of gruesome death (when a group attacks you and you kill one with gruesome death the rest flees in terror.
What do you guys think???

Greetings Morbo,
From what I've read on your previous forums and messages, you seem like a funny guy. (What happened to Jack Bauer?!?!) I like the idea of weapons having rare properties or a special set of skills. As for specifically, having a Sword of Gruesome Death, I don't know if that'll fit the Riftrunner world. Hey...who knows? Maybe it does.
Thanks.

Well like DAD said I've been reborn to the good side. No more references to sucubi, female wariors, that babe on the box and me needing a girlfriend. Don't worry my evil side could re-emerge if motivated enough.(Hulk: You don't like me when I get angry )
I just remembered that theire was something like that in diablo 2. battlehowl or battle cry or something. It gave you a great uportunity to escape .
If any one else got some strange or useless skill or comments . please post them

Hi,
Okay. What do you guys think of having a weapon with personality and even alignment? It can talk, deliberately drop itself from a warrior's hands, even refuse to be used against a certain creature...
Thanks.

I like it, but it's not Noob friendly enough I think. And if theire are such weapons they sould be very rare
What do you think of a weapon that only works if you got the complete the armour set that matches the weapon?

I'm playing Gorasul at the moment. There are such weapons in that game. You can't find them, but you have to choose one at the beginning. They even get experience points.

morbo aka JB has great idea. rare item that has rare skill(s) that cannot be learnt unless u wear/wield the item. such PROFOUND IDEA!!!!
other than gruesome death, what about sword that actually levels up as u use more of it 2 kill? ok, so someone came up with this idea some time ago but i forgot whom. anyway as u level up, the sword levels up as u use it & its stats improve plus some more innate abilities such as critical hits, higher attack rate, improvd damage, etc.... . this reminds me a lot of soul reaver where a certain aura of the hero extends out of his hand 2 kill his enemies & suck their souls. this idea can be used 2 explain why the sword becomes better. make it a set & we can have Cerberus set: sword(2 handed), breatsplate, helm, belt & necklace. penalty will be more susceptible to critical hits, especially on lower body parts.

Yes I'm usefull now I can die with the knowlege that I chaged the world(of the divine universe ).
What about the dragon armour set.
5% chance to release dragonbreath or dragonburp as I call it. Also it would be fun to polymorf into the dragon when you release dragon breath just for a couple of seconds
[edit] Or what about the vampire set 100% stronger, faster , almost imortal only during the night and weakend during the day, also at night good guys could kill you easy in town(priest,knight...) than evil guys.

yeah why not? will last only for say, 15 seconds though so it won't ruin the game by making things too easy.

Retaliator Set
Helm, Breastplate, Gauntlet, Leggings, Boots Special Properties: charges up as enemies hit your character till the charge maximises then it's up to u 2 release it & deal massive damage(4X) plus knock down as well as stun. similar to combo hits in fight games(samurai spirits). innate ability: damage feedback(thorns)

Jurak brought this up too: A weapon that could learn. I was thinking of a weapon of your choice that could be imbued with a soul, similar to the holy ritual in Divine Divinity. morbo aka JB has great idea. rare item that has rare skill(s) that cannot be learnt unless u wear/wield the item. such PROFOUND IDEA!!!! That could be good! What skill can an item provide that cannot be leared? In a sci-fi RPG I was writing (and sort of lost track of), I had a set of skills that could only be received through equipment or cybernetic implants. They were things like tactical readout (calculates quickest way to kill enemies), life support, right up to a computer-augmented brain that could simulate the next 20 seconds for you so you could try things and see if they'd work without getting yourself killed.

Hmmm... I imagine how much calculation you need to count the next 20 seconds. You should've made it 10 or 5, IMHO: the machine needs to calculate EVERY probability!

Not quite how it works. When you activate the skill, a 20 second timer appears and you play on as normal. When that 20 seconds is up, everything reverts back to as it was when you activated the skill, even if you died or succeeded. You now know if that method would work and can replicate it in reality this time, or simulate another possibility. It's useful if you want to try something unorthodox.

that idea can be included in DD3(if there is one). imagine council of divinity lasts until future when the next incarnation of demon of lies threatens the world of rivellon again. this time the game can be of diverse locations such as other planets, space stations, black hole, etc... .

step further.
Say you gotta pick a certain weapon at the beginning of the game, and as it levels up, you get points which you can use to customize it like you do with your own char.
Obviously you cant get as much as you do with your char, but maybe somthing like you can add 1 skill to your weapon every 5 levels (that means that to get freeze lvl 3 you would need to be 15 before it could be achieved) and like 2 stat points per level.
Now that would be cool!
