I can not find info about this worm on the Microsoft (English) site...
But i do get that message about Remote Procedure Call or whatever...as listed on the German site.
Has anyone that speaks English found the English version?

Oyyy I got this thing on both my machines at home yesterday, and kept getting shut down. It was so annoying. Now at work one of the machines is locked down because it was infected with the worm, and a bunch of other departments are also getting it. What a pain.

Thanks for this thread though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Wow! Turned out I have this virus.
Hmmm... let's see...
*tries to remouve*

What's strange: When I connected to the net, I got the error and my computer restarted in 50 seconds. BUT when I uninstalled Norton, It was fixed!
Oh well... where's that bloody virus...

I was just talking with my IT guys at work here...
They said it isen't actually a virus, that the hackers were just testing, to see how far this thing would reach. If they wanted to they could attach a virus to the beginning of this. YIKES!
They gave me the patch on a disc, bacasue they did say, in all honesty...i would probably not be able to download the patch before my computer shut down.
Man, this is scary...and microsoft knew about it before this all happened...
Jerks anyway!

It wasn't found on my system. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Downloading the tool didn't take long. Not even a minute.

I think we should do this more often. Tell eachother about viruswarnings and worms.

Yes i agree Seth...it is a faster way to get the word out than waiting for Microsoft!
Another one...if anyone gets an e-mail from you service provider, saying that your e-mail account is going to expore...DELETE IT - it is a virus, though this has been out for some time, and i think most people will know of it already.

Who is San??? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
It is a funny message though, being as it was microsofts mistake that let this happen. They knew this could be done since 4.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 They just didn't know of the exttent it could go.
