Hi all, I can't find the key to Dr. Elraths house. I saw where it is to be in the map, I moved the barrel & the rocks used alt but no key. I am afraid to use the lost items guide because I am afraid I might mess my computer up, not unusual for me. I finished this game once now I am playing it again & the same thing happened in the first game, & it broke the quest. Should I just forget it or is there another wayto save this quest? Dont worry, you can enter without the key. But then you need lvl2 lockpick. That should work also (at least it did for me).

Normally, no. But you have to go back to hugh to tell him it was Elrath <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
And i hope you diod all the rest concerning the crop quest.

First I talked to Hugh, went to cave & killed Orc got key went back to Hugh told him what I did, found Dr. Elraths poison in Blue Boar Inn cellar, talked to Splinter, told Hugh, got the stolen key quest, went to Dr. Elraths house to find the key,did I miss any thing?

Nope. After you've turned in Elrath, or before doesnt matter, go back to Hugh and tell him it wa Elrath. He'll 'reward' you with 1000 FAKE goldpieces <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Hi, I went ot Hugh to tell him what happened & they cleared the Dr. of all wrong doing. I went back to the Dr. house went down to celler came back up but no Dr. to confront me. Checked for key one more time & found it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif" alt="" /> I restarted a Saved game well before I talked to Hugh & will try again. This time I will go to Hugh after I go to celled & back up & confront the Dr. & look for key. What do you think?

Hm, did you have the letter on the cellar table in your inventory? This should trigger the final cutscene with E.

Yes I picked up the letter but I didnt go to celler till after I talked to Hugh & cleared Dr. name. I guess this is the problem.

How did you leave the cellar? Going up or using pyramids? If you leave via pyramid: NO cutscene - but if you reenter the house, you'll get it.

The best is to keep to the sequence posted in DQueene's answer.

Sorry Kiya I just looked at your link to solving this I didnt do any of it right. I went strait to the Dr. house after telling Hugh the Dr. had all the poison looked for key lockedpick Dr. house down to cellar got letter & potions, then got stuck. Hmmm, there is a small problem, if you don't include both quests, they're related to one another. My solution was the "ideal" line as I always did it. It's the logical way due to the quest log.
Encountering E in the final cutscene is triggered by having the letter in your inventory. If you report to Com. Ralph first or go to Hugh first after the final cutscene is not a quest buster.

Problem was, if I used the pyramids to get out of the cellar instead of going upstairs and reported to Com. Ralph.
