Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks can't find key to free hostages

I'm trying to help Timmy's parents from the bad guys in the dark forest and I can't find the kitchen key to get in through the back undetected. I have a screen shot of where it is supposed to be but it's not there. I've tried searching with the alt key but that don't work either....can anyone help me?

Did you talk to Timmy, and go through all the speech options? Did he mention dropping the key (IIRC)? Did you try Lockpick (don't know if that works, or not)?

yeah....I talked to timmy and all that good stuff and he said something about dropping the key. I have the quest in my diary thing what ever you wanna call it. and no I didn't try to lockpick the door. I don't know what it could be. Have any Idea's?

Have you cleared the area north of the house? I think I found the key further north (a screen or so) than is shown in the screenshot.

I still can't find the stupid key. I don't know what is going on. I hope it's not a bug. I've searched everywhere but still nothing. anyone have any other suggestions...they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Demon, have you tried ALT? the key should show up near the basket and the tree, just north of the house.

kiya, I've tried...I've ran around the whole area north of the house while hold the alt key and still nothing. *scratches head*

That's ok Kiya, I found what I was looking for. I was in the wrong place. *blushes* I feel stupid right now! LOL! Thanks for your help anyway!

And I just created a timmyzip for the ring <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> - I'm glad you found it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />
