Yes, to me this sounds like a hardware problem, too.
I only fear that something has already burnt through (is this the right term ) - I mean becoming to hot - burning - ashes. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
Seriously, I'd suggest asking the shop where you have bought the PC for assistance.
