So, when you walk around at certain trigger points, if you have certain companion combinations, they cycle through a list of topics. I assume the conversations are keyed to character level instead of quest events?

Anyway, in this case, it involves ShadowHeart and Wyll:

I'm at level 4, Convinced Wyll to spare Karlach, heading to Waukeen's rest after Toll house. Shadowheart is asking Wyll about "How will the people of Baldur's gate react when they learn the Monster hunter is becoming a monster?". I guess the code assumes by level 4 you will have long rested and experienced that scene. But I haven't....

I see in the patch notes similar fixes have been included for banter involving Gale. So maybe add this one to the queue?..

Also encountering this.

On the topic of dialogue showing up too early, Astarion also has a topic about Moonrise Towers long before Halsin gives the quest.

There's quite a few of them unfortunately, in another thread someone mentioned quite the spoiler:

Act 3 - Jaheira and Shadowheart -
Jaheira talks about Viconia before visiting the House of Grief. Not only a story spoiler, but also ruins a big surprise for people that played BG1 and BG2.

I think you can learn about Moonrise Towers before encountering Halsin, either through notes or conversations in the goblin camp, the Grymforge and/or Rosamyn monastery. Speaking with the dead with certain NPCs in act 1 also reveals the necessary information, like the dead drow at Waukeen's Rest or the one at Mountain Pass that died fighting Githyanki. I think a conversation with one of the Zhents in their hideout also reveals some info on Moonrise Towers. There are many ways to learn about Moonrise Towers, so it's possible one of these things triggered it.

All in all though, there are quite some party banters that trigger prematurely. And there's also some party banters triggering that have become innaccurate because a companion chose a different path, or have become irrelevant/outdated because of newly learned information through quests and exploration. A thorough look through all the party banter and checking/setting appropriate flags for them would definitely help, but I'm afraid that it'll probably be low on the priority list even if some definitely contain spoilers.

I have a question about this: Is it intended for the act 2 romance banter to trigger before you have had the act 2 romance scene? Because that is what is currently happening and some of it ( for example Lae'zel and Wyll's comments to Astarion) seem to make more sense after the act 2 scene has taken place than before.

I assume it’s a bug. Soon after starting Act 2, I had Astarion teasing Gale about the night he spent with my avatar before he’d done any such thing.

The drow corpse in the grove speaks about Moonrise. That's when Moonrise dialogue option seemed to unlock with Astarion for me.

(There's also the grove sanctum frescos mentioning Moonrise, and scout reports too. So this dialogue didn't seem out of place. In fact, it seemed Astarion was the only one paying attention.)

I'm not sure what's wrong with this. Shadowheart knows that Wyll is a monster hunter. Plenty of people know Wyll is the Blade of Frontiers. The tieflings even comment on it. So she knows Wyll is a monster hunter, and she knows Wyll has a tadpole. Why would the comment not make sense?

Yes, the monster comment is about the tadpole, not what can happen with Wyll.

I thought that SH/Wyll banter was also about his horns, because I also got it once before I picked up Karlach. Now that I think about it, it makes sense it's about the tadpole.
