Hi!

Historically we lowly console players get about 10 new or updated mods a week, usually on Thursday or Friday. But I can’t help but notice that it’s Friday evening and we’re mod’less.

I was getting pretty used to our weekly present, but I guess going weeks without anything new is a thing. Did I miss a communication? Have they decided that their approval process isn’t sustainable?

Thanks!
Hope everyone has a good weekend

To be honest, its getting abit ridicilous. We all know consoles can’t get same mods as pc whoch is fine but at this pace it isn’t acceptable! Consolemodding isn’t new anymore its been done in several games and larian needs to optimalize the process

My understanding is that they were working on the Hotfix that fixed the crash problems, and they just posted saying it was coming soon two days ago, but "soon" is super vague. Hopefully they'll do a huge push to mods with the release of the Hotfix.

This isn't new though or exclusive to BG3.

I can count on one hand or maybe one hand and a half the number of console games with mods. Also Skyrim and other Bethesda games had a limit of the number of mods you could install or the total size too.

Yea I saw the post in Discord, I’d like meet the person with 100 installed mods on console. They must really like dice, because I have like 12 and at least a third of them are different versions of the same thing. Haha

absolutley especially with updstes!!
Come on Im playing a game witj 16gb mods on my ps5 right now and no issues.

This is ridicules that we have to wait 4 weeks or an UPDATE.
and months for a mod.
I was really patient at beginning but it gets really annoying right now

why is ridiculous? do you know how many ppl from larian are testing the mods ? do you have the list of things approved by ms and sony to be available in their consoles? mods on consoles need to be tested in combination with all the new ones, cause one mod can work alone fine and break the game in combination with others, so is not like they are just doing nothing and keeping all the mods for console in the back just for giggles.

As stated above your comment, as well as in a post by Salo in the forum and on the discord- the updates/mods to console are
PAUSED until the hotfix goes live, not to mention the process that goes into creating, and testing mods, and unfortunately
comments like this will not speed up the process. I would recommend you continue to try and be patient.

Could you atleast forward to Larian that they instabtly allow updates of already approved mods because now we’re 20 versions behind certain mods and we stay with their bugged version

Hello!
Updates to any mod need to for through the same testing process, as updates could change any aspect of a mod and they need to be checked to ensure that they don't include elements that are not supported in other platforms: https://mod.io/g/baldursgate3/r/modding-guidelines
This is a reason why we recommend mods are only marked for console when no more updates are expected (but it's understandable that some mods will need updates anyway!)

The team is currently testing several updates for mods that are already live on console and you will start seeing those live soon!

As Peachy mentioned, we'll be postponing console curation while we prepare to ship the hotfix! While the team will continue to test mods, we will set the next batch of mods for console live after the hotfix goes live.
We will share more info about the Hotfix very soon, in the meantime we appreciate your patience!
