I reported this bug, but mentioning here in case anyone has the same problem and the workaround helps.
In my latest playthrough, I flipped the levers to open the cells in Moonrise Towers and the captives ran out onto the docks (oops, that is not the best way to go about things!). After managing to keep them alive through the following battle, everyone ran to the spot where they could jump across from the dock onto land but Lia, Lakrissa and Danis got stuck, I think because my party got in their way. They then refused to move. I tried going back to Last Light Inn and the NPCs there acted as though they'd died at the Towers.
I'd taken a save before that for the bug report (thank goodness this was already a continuation of a failed honour mode run or I might have lost heart!) and Karlach managed to shove Danis and Lakrissa across the gap and they despawned. For some reason Lia's shove path across the gap was red, but Karlach shoved her in the other direction a couple of times and eventually she started moving and despawned. On return to the Inn this time, they'd made it back. Phew!
EDIT: Gah! Spoke too soon. Lia and Lakrissa's reunion scenes triggered correctly, but though I saw Danis at Last Light and he thanked me for saving his life, when I spoke to Bex she still just says she wishes she hadn't left him behind and their reunion doesn't trigger. And now I can't find Danis again. I'll just carry on and hope it sorts itself out at some point!
