When I arrived in Last Light inn for the first time, I was greeted by
completely naked Jaheira.
I suspect this bug has something to do with
quest triggers, because in my parallel playthrough where I made completely different choices, Jaheira was normal.
This is the summary of my choices in this run:
- I reached the Goblin Camp, talked to Minthara and left her on "standby". I went into the dungeon and talked to Halsin, at first I rejected helping the Grove, but then he told me everything he knew and I reluctantly agreed to kill the leaders. (I didn't follow through on this, though. I didn't kill any of the leaders later.)
- I went to Underdark and completed everything, both the Myconids and the Grymforge. I allied with the duergar and killed Nere, and then proceeded to discover the ancient forge.
- I went to the Mountain Pass, killed the undead on the road, met with Elminster, but I didn't go to the creche. There was no compulsion to do so, because Shadowheart had already killed Lae'zel in camp.
- At this point, my quest log stated that Halsin had died in the dungeon. The Grove fast travel point had disappeared from the map.
- And so, I ignored the fate of the Grove and immediately proceeded to the Shadow-cursed lands.
I had two options: to go via Mountain Pass, or via Underdark. But no matter which I chose, I was always greeted by NAKED Jaheira.
In the Last Light there were only the Harpers. I assume the tieflings had perished in the Grove (the Guardian had indicated as much when we talked). Flaming Fists weren't there because I ignored the fire in Waukeen's Rest (I just sidelined the whole thing and proceeded into Zhentarim basement).
Moreover, after defeating Myrkul and going back upstairs, naked Jaheira was there, acting as if she had participated in the fight in Moonrise - which she didn't. I let Shadowheart kill the Nightsong, and subsequently everyone in Last Light died, including Isobel. But Jaheira had survived, and was completely oblivious to what had transpired in the Last Light.
I loaded the save before descending to illithid colony and briefly teleported to Last Light. Expectedly, I got in the middle of a fight. Naked Jaheira was fighting the shadow-possessed Harpers and Isobel was dead upstairs. After defeating the shades, Jaheira went back to her post at the table like nothing happened. Her dialogue options were the same as when she expected me to report on my progress.
I ended up recruiting Jaheira after the fight with Myrkul, and there was NOTHING in her inventory, not even the basic follower containers.
Did anyone choose this path, did you ever experience something like this?
I surmise this is a game bug which relates to a quest outcome, either regarding Halsin or the fate of the Grove - both of which I pretty much ignored in this run. Like I said, in a different playthrough where I resolved everything "as expected", Jaheira was normal.
