I play on (a good) PC, my son picks up the PS5 and joins my multiplayer game.
Over the course of a 4-6h gaming session, we get random disconnects.
When we do, I (host) become invisible to him (PS5), and I have to completely close the game and reset everything before becoming visible (and joinable) again.
Sometimes just a quit/reload isn't enough, and we have to do it a couple of times until everything re-syncs.
We are on the same network, cabled connections, everything else is working, the game simply disconnects.
During these events, if I go to the multipayer menu on PC, and show online friends, it shows my STEAM friends, not my LARIAN friends, which might be indicative that my Larian account connection is gone. Only quitting/restarting the game brings the larian friends back to my visibility.
I'm planning on taking a more detailed log during my next playing session in a couple of days.
I've opened a bug report with Larian, but I'm curious about others' experience with cross-play. Is it working well for others? are there any faster/less disruptive work-arounds or at least a way to recover faster?
