Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems Throwing weapons causing crushing damage to thrower

This is a bug that seems to have persisted for a long time. Often, when throwing weapons, the weapon will deal crushing damage *to the thrower* rather than to an enemy. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of rhyme or reason to when and why it happens, I used to think it had to do with height, but this instance was on level ground. I have seen it happen most often with the Returning Pike and with the Lightning Jabber bound to an Eldritch Knight. The only thing that seems to stop this from happening once it starts is to unequip the weapon, drop it, and pick it back up. However, it eventually starts happening again even with this process.

Another instance I've just captured, this time the crushing damage also affected Lae'zel as she was standing next to Karlach.
