Hi,
I’m experiencing a critical issue with Baldur’s Gate 3 after reinstalling the game.
-The game launches and loads normally
-It reaches 100% loading
-I can hear menu sounds and music
-But the screen stays stuck on the loading screen (no visual update)
Important context:
-I previously played ~200 hours on the same PC with no issues
-This started only after reinstalling the game recently
-All other games run perfectly
What I already tried:
-Clean GPU driver reinstall using DDU
-Deleted NVIDIA shader cache (DXCache / GLCache)
-Reset BG3 config folder in AppData
-Disabled overlays (Steam, NVIDIA, Discord, Xbox Game Bar)
-Forced windowed mode and DPI overrides
-Reset NVIDIA Control Panel settings
-Tested different refresh rates and resolutions
-Tried launching with both DirectX 11 and Vulkan
Nothing changed.
System:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
GPU: RTX 2070
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 10
Drivers: latest NVIDIA Game Ready
At this point it feels like a rendering/presentation issue (audio works but frame is not displayed).
I have to be honest: this is extremely frustrating.
After 200+ hours of gameplay, it’s very disappointing to reinstall the game and find it completely unplayable, despite a fully functional system and extensive troubleshooting.
This doesn’t seem like a user-side issue anymore, but rather a serious compatibility or rendering bug.
Has anyone experienced this after recent patches?
Thanks.
