In BG3 I constantly had to choose between the armour that had the stats my build needed and the armour that actually looked right on my character. You spend hundreds of hours looking at your party, so that choice matters more than it sounds. Most of the time the good looking gear just sits in the inventory.
The community already fixed this with the Transmog Enhancer mod, which tells you the demand is there. But mods don't help console players, they break with patches, and most people never install any. In a new Divinity this should just be in the game from the start.
The simple version is enough: a slot by slot appearance option where you can apply the look of any armour you've owned over what you're actually wearing, with dyes working on it. If story armour needs protecting, requiring that you've had the item in your inventory handles that on its own.
Would be curious whether others want this too.
