Baldur's Gate III - Suggestions & Feedback
Re: A request from a player who still believes in Minthara. Jan K 1 hour ago
That’s a really good point — yes, I believe all BG3 characters and story elements do fall under Wizards of the Coast’s D&D license.

You’re right, making a cinematic add-on or DLC centered on Minthara would likely require explicit approval from WotC.

Still, I think it could be a win–win situation — Larian has shown how deeply they respect D&D lore, and Wizards could benefit from expanding one of their most complex and underexplored characters.

A community petition or an open letter to WotC could actually be an interesting idea. If enough players showed interest, maybe both sides would consider it worth exploring. 💜

That’s a very good point — and I completely agree with you.
Karlach is such a fantastic character, full of emotion, humor, and strength, but when you play her as an Origin, a lot of that personality sadly disappears.

That’s exactly why I’d love for Larian to explore new ways of keeping that companion energy and emotional depth even when a character becomes an Origin.

In Minthara’s case, her inner conflict and loyalty to the Absolute could make for an incredible perspective — but it would need that same spark of personality that makes her so captivating as a companion. 💜

That’s a really good and detailed analysis — thank you for sharing your thoughts. I completely agree that turning Minthara into an Origin character would require a lot of restructuring, especially with the Goblin camp and the “Chosen of the Absolute” storyline.

As a possible alternative, I was thinking about a DLC that could take place in the past, when Minthara was much younger — maybe around 20 years old (since she’s about a century old in BG3).

It could follow her early journey and rise within Lolth’s hierarchy, while still respecting all established lore and D&D rules.

The third general in that timeline could even be a Dragonborn, since that race doesn’t get much representation in the main game. It could add a new dynamic and expand the world further.

Just an idea, of course — but I’d love to see something like that. Thanks again for your thoughtful perspective, it’s great to discuss this kind of creative “what if” scenario with fellow fans! 💜

There are many great things about the game, but the UI is sadly not one of them.

I also want to add that Minthy and Karlach .are probably my two favourite NPC's in our "merry band" as Gale put it. But I started an origin run as Karlach, and found it highly disappointing, because there was no witty , or tragic, Karlach talk or reaction anymore.

Not any more difficult than making Durge work. Given there's no reason they should be on the nautiloid what with having being tadpoled a while before the rest of the cast.

Something simple like "The nautiloid picked up some loyal True Souls to aid in its defence" would be able to explain her presence on the nautiloid at the start of the game (Though wouldn't explain her being a level 1 pleb with no tadpole powers...)

The biggest snag would be... The entire rest of the game. Having to implement brand new lines to incorporate Minthara's interactions during Act 1, potential for a "Good Playthrough" interactions at the start of Act 2 and a bunch of altered and added lines for having a PC Minthara.

In short, a lot of work for a game that is no longer in active development.

If she takes the Nautiloid route, they would have to change a lot in the Goblin camp setup. There would be not three generals but two, so many goblin dialogues need to be adapted. There's no attack on the grove, unless they do it under command of Gut or Razglin, which will cascade to more changes for these characters, or some totally new commander. The "secret" of the Chosen of the Absolute" would be known from the beginning, unless they gave Minthara amnesia too, but that would also make her forget her Menzoberranzan origins, and possibly remove some of what makes her so compelling as an NPC. I still think the work would be lots more complex than for Karlach or Wyll , and the result might be disappointing.

I think all the BG3 characters now belong to Wizards of the coast. Making a cinematic addon might need explicit permission of Wotc maybe ? Maybe Wotc could be petitioned to make additional Minthara content.

Suggestion: Allow Czech (and other community translations) as optional mods on PS5 Jan K Yesterday at 02:08 PM
Hello Larian team,

First of all, thank you once again for all your amazing work and support for Baldur’s Gate 3 across all platforms.

I would like to make a small but important suggestion regarding localization:
Please consider allowing community translations (like Czech) to be added as optional mods on PS5 and console versions of the game.

The Czech fan community has already created a high-quality translation mod for PC, and it would mean a lot if console players could also use it — even just as an optional, unsupported mod.

We understand the technical and licensing challenges behind official localization, but allowing community-made translations to work on PS5 would open the game to many new players who would love to experience BG3 in their native language.

Thank you for considering this idea, and for continuing to listen to your global community.
With respect,
Jan K.

Suggestions for More Character Interactions and Customization in BG3 Jan K Yesterday at 01:27 PM
Hello Larian team,

First of all, thank you again for the incredible work on Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s truly a world full of life, depth, and emotion — a masterpiece that keeps inspiring players every day.

I would like to share a few humble suggestions that many fans (myself included) would love to see in future updates or possible expansions:

✨ 1. More interactions between Minthara and Orin
Both are fascinating, powerful women with unique connections to the Absolute. Seeing them interact or confront each other directly would add amazing narrative tension.

🌿 2. More interactions with Kagha
Kagha’s character has great potential for development and emotional depth. Expanding her storyline or post-Act 1 dialogue would make her feel even more real and impactful.

🏕️ 3. Camp customization and personal tent decoration
Being able to personalize our camp — especially our own tent — would be a wonderful addition. It could include placing trophies, books, or decorations collected during the adventure.

🐎 4. Horses or mounts (if fitting within D&D ruleset)
I noticed that horses are not present in the game world. Even as background elements, or as part of travel sequences, they could add a lot to immersion.

🗡️ 5. New weapon types, such as katanas
Adding exotic or rare weapon types (like katanas) would bring extra flavor to certain builds and roleplay styles, especially for players who enjoy eastern-inspired aesthetics.

Thank you for your time and for always listening to your passionate community.
With respect and admiration,
Jan K.
