Good point on taking damage but obviously something you're trying to avoid. Aye, but if you want to use a heal skill, it's likely you just took damage in the first place, ergo fulfilling the criteria of having taken damage to maintain Rage. Now I'm looking at Wild Magic Barbarian too. Wild Magic Barbarian is pretty cool and can be a nice thematic fit for Sorcerer multiclass (Especially as all the Wild Magic from Barbarian utilize their casting stat of CHR which is shared by Sorcerer) One thing I should note is that NONE of the effects scale at all. Unlike things like Cantrips that will get extra dice on character levels 5 and 11. Barbarian's Wild Magic effects remain the same forever. Meaning later in the game they will be weak when things like a single 1d12 or 1d6 are pitiful (Also, CON saves get high making them less likely to even land, even with good CHR and spell DC modifiers) Teleport and Vine Growth can remain useful all game though, bonus action teleport and difficult terrain aura don't require scaling to be good. Some Random FUN that Fits the sorcerer story profile & provides a pretty big bonus of +3 prof at 5th level to saves vs. spells for all party members within 10'!?!! Oh wait, What?? Its a bonus action?? I was guessing it was just active all the time. Shoot. Any idea if it triggers like a reaction when a spell comes at your party??? Sadly, no. You have to use it premptively. Also note, it's not "All party members" it's "All characters" meaning enemies also benefit from it. Making it even more awkward to utilize (Even more so with it's once per short rest restriction) It can still be very useful, as there are several encounters where there are dangerous spells being thrown at the party where something like this can act as a quasi Counterspell. It's just not as great as it looks on first glance... Really only 1 in 8 chance of anything harmful to your party, But I guess you'd want to be careful with your proximity to friends & innocent bystanders when entering your Rage just in case Dark Tendrils comes up... Says "every creature around you" so you would do Necrotic damage to your friends within 30' too, eh?!?? Aye. It hits everything, including allies (Provided they don't succeed on the CON save) Don't suppose you can trigger MetaMagic Careful Spell on that, eh? Sadly no. Wild Magic is considered too Wild to be manipulated by metamagics.

Any solutions to this yet? My mouse/trackpad inputs are suddenly interpreted differently as if controller and mouse mode are getting mixed. I cannot just click to walk somewhere, I need to either doubleclick or hold down the mouse button and every click seems to reset the camera position as well which in turn messes with where I want to click. Sometimes when I want to move the camera it randomly keeps moving in one direction. It is pretty awful to play this way.

Can a spell change caster's *clothing* appearance?

Hi all! I'm completely new to modding but I have an idea I want to implement. I've looked through the forum and can't find any discussion about what I'm attempting, so. This question has two parts.
First: Can a spell apply the effects of a dye for the duration of the spell. For example (this isn't what I'm doing, but it gets the idea across) imagine I'm trying to mod in Mario's Fire Flower, which works like call lightning but letting you throw fireballs for the duration instead of lightning bolts; and let's say I want it to change your outfit to white and red the way it does in the Mario games. Is there a way to do that, but only for the duration of the spell, and then it reverts to whatever colors it was before? If so, how would I do this?
Second: I know there are spells that can replace or fill the caster's weapon slot: Flame Blade does this, for instance. Is it possible to do that with another equipment slot, and have (say) a spell that creates a suit of armor and replaces your existing armor with it for the duration? If so, how?
Either of these would work for what I'm trying to do! The second would be slightly better lore-wise, but on the other hand the first would allow you to retain the benefits of your existing armor, so yeah, either would be great! Thanks in advance, and I'm happy to be joining the community!

I still to trust Larian. BG3 is one of my favorite games. I hate waiting, but I have no choice, and I think Larian is aware and the teams are doing their best. I love larian and all their games too and thats why im saddend by this. I enjoy their games so much and im really looking forward to mods bcs bg3 is so good! I don’t care for starfield mods on xbox eventough they drop over a dozen by day because base game is bad.

I totally understand that some people are disappointed or saddened. But I find the reaction of some people on the internet to be disproportionate Well offc you should compare to a football team, we fans are very passionated about baldursgate and with mods as diehard fantasy-rpg lovers we all were planning to use that mod and this for our playtrougj with friends or alone and we all are awaee mods can’t be on pc level (and thats oke!) but making rhis gen of consoles look this useless is just wrong! On skyrim fbox one, i was playing forgotten city a mod of 1gig or more i think which added totally new region and all and my last gen console worked great! So I don’t know what to believe anymore im also saddend that we got promised a hige batch with the hotfox as they kept testing and now nothing just a couple of updates. I really hope it gets better because this is the bare minimum we are getting

The problem isn't Larian or gamers. It's the Playstation and Xbox consoles. Larian is doing its best to remedy the situation. But a lot of people are taking it out on them. They've already done a tremendous job adding mods to the consoles. Larian is not a robot.
I also expect a lot of mods, but I'm not going to be aggressive towards people, or towards Larian. The problem is that we haven’t received new mods for over 2 weeks eventougj we got promised that with the hotfix a bunch of new mods would come! I understand larian wants to approve every mod but for ovee 2 weeks not a single new ones andnow we have to wait another week, this is really kinda playing with the patience of consoleusers. Im really saddend by this!

If I remember correctly, Larian says a new patch will be available soon.
And people have the right to play with 100mods, I don't really understand why you're negative about these people. From my reafding, he's not negative about these people. He calls into question the number of players that have so many mods and consequently have a crashing problem. What is fairly sure is that there are many thousands of console players eagerly awaiting their favourite mod. But Larian puts priority on fixing the problem of this unknown number of players. I am also puzzled about this, even though I'm not directly concerned as I play on PC. But it looks like a strange decision. (BTW I saw comments of people ordering a PC to play BG3, as they 've given up to see their mods ever coming to the console)

"We’ll be shipping another fix soon that will aim to give you the means to access console saves that are disabled after today’s update. However, it is important to note that mods can cause general instability, particularly on console, and depending on the mods you’ve had enabled on a save, you may run into issues when certain mods are disabled."

What're we thinking team? is it gonna be 2 weeks without any new mods? #ModDrought2024 Hopefully they'll do a huge push to mods with the release of the Hotfix. This was my hope as well, perhaps we were optimistic fools. Fun story! I actually had a pretty straight forward mod commissioned ($$), that was made completely within mod.io and well withing the console guidelines. It was released 41 Days ago, and still isn't on console. It's not super popular but it's got close to 4k downloads, So you can imagine how thrilled I am currently...
