Which of the 3 copies has best loot? crpgnut 8 hours ago
I like supporting Larian; especially DivDiv, Beyond Div, and Div-2 so i have bought multiple copies of these games. I wish to play through Div 2 again and I own 3 versions disk, DKS Steam and Dev Cut. Is there any differences in the loot tables? I always felt the disk version had better drops for some reason.

P.S. I haven't done BG3 as I'm not a D&D guy but prolly should try it one day. Lol, I've been a member for 22 years.

Armor in Divinity, and why it was bad in BG3 Krom Yesterday at 04:53 PM
BG3 was something i loved.

Almost all the aspects of it were very good, great or above even. The characters, the interactions, the narrative, the branching choices and the consequences were things i really enjoyed.

We also know Larian's strengths, and they have already discussed how they want to expand on all the above, adding more permeations and choices.

If there was one thing i didn't like in BG3, and i would really want a somewhat different direction in Divinity, it was the character customization as far as armor is concerned. Basically armor-heavy armor especially. How it looks, how you look in it, it didn't click with me at all, especially if you tried to look cool in all-heavy armor, which was like impossible. Besides on personal feelings on what looks good and what looks even better, i will try to make just some bullet points to emphasize a point. And if you guys can, just have them in your mind if that's possible, so that there are more options for heavy armor lovers like me (:p) in Divinity.

Obviously, some of these are fixable by mods, but i would like to see them without the need of mods.

1) First of all, there was no transmog system. You found the oathbreaker knight helmet, yay. Now scrap it, because it doesn't have any stats on it :p

2) There was no uniform look on heavy armors. Each piece was almost like it didn't fit with each other. Together with (1), it was a nightmare to find all slots with items that made the look uniform and not like a clown :<

3) Although in EA(up to patch 6 i think) the armors looked fine, in the released version, they were shrunk especially in the joints. Case in point, the EA gith half plate, and the release version. On other armors like plate, when modded in game during EA they looked fine even with the simple metallic boots on. In the released version, no boot model matched any kind of plate armor. Although normally you would expect the kneecaps to lock over your shinguards, which did in fact happen in EA, today in BG3, every boot model does not align with the chest armor(or its kneeguards anwyay). There are gaps at best, makes it look it weird.

4) The only 2 armors that didn't suffer from the previous, since they are uniform in look and actually looked cool, were Ketheric's armor, and Dame Aylin's armor. Both were NPC only. Reaper's caress was accessible yes, but only the chest armor. Ketheric's plate boots and gloves are not in game, even though he wears them when you beat him. Dame Aylin's armor is again not available to players.

Number 4 is something i saw in DOS 2 as well. Blackring heavy armor and Paladin armor, 2 of the coolest looking armors, were NPC only again. This is a trend i see continuing with Larian's games, and makes me a bit anxious about the decisions in Divinity. DOS2 did not suffer from the non-uniform armor look at least.

So, for Divinity, i kind of expect to see good interactions, good plot and actions and consequences, but i would also like to see something more for the armor and gear we will be wearing, so that it both looks cool and is as convincing as possible that for example this is a knight/paladin/whatever armor. It fits the archetype we are going for.

As for the problem with BG3's armors especially leg armor, i am not sure what caused it. But i have seen other games out there, that make kneecaps as part of thigh armor, always struggling to align boots and knees afterwards. The games i don't see struggling with it, either choose to make kneecaps as part of the boot model, or make leg armor as a one mesh unit and both work fine. My 2 cents.

I look forward to Divinity, and since the trailer i was honestly stoked. I would also like, however, to see more being put into customization for our characters, and i don't mean the character creator, but the armor we wear, since in the previous game it made me think it was a very low priority.

Cheers! smile

Cannot load any kind of saves, even fresh New Game BadutCat Yesterday at 12:02 PM
I was playing fine 2 days ago and saved in the middle of a battle against Loric because I was getting sleepy (It's possible and I've done it multiple times before so why not).
I went to play again the next day only to find that I cannot load my previous saves.
I thought this was simply a bug from saving mid-battle, but I also tried reloading a past save where no battles are happening, it still has the same error code.
The error: something about the program not being able to copy the save files from the player profile subfolder to the levelCache folder, code 119, 120

Now I know I am not the only ones who had this problem, I've already tried the solutions to the error code from other threads but it's still happening.

I even got to wiping the entire drive and reinstalling the game over again, it still produces the same code.

Loading a New Game file also produces the same error code.

I tried verifying the game file integrity multiple times. Still error :""(

Is this a problem with my drive? Or the save files? Or the game?
I was just getting hooked on the game u_u I don't want to abandon it
