It’s kind of you to keep us informed of the general temperature of the modding community. You can rest assured Larian are informed that this is an issue.

In conclusion, thank you for making this point. It has been received well and clearly. Repeating it would only muddle the message.

Thank you! Its not to be annoying but baldursgate has a special place in my heart and love the game and the 3rd installement is my favorite so I want to be able to enjoy it to fullest and wish the same to other people. Im sure larian wants that too and continues to give that enjoyment with games like dos2 which is my favorite game ever

Larian tech support said they know its a known bug, but couldn't provide more help than that.
You will have an option to free Orpheus at the very end of the game as long as you keep the hammer in your inventory, it is not possible to miss it as it is part of the main quest. Voss cannot take you to the prism anyway, so talking to him is optional.

I know they never gave a specific date, I am just a little bit frustrated by the very long wait (which is an objective fact).
It would be nice to have a very rough eta smile

Re: The Dark Urge needs to be fixed Beetle 13 hours ago
Another minor thing I noticed...if you hold off on telling your companions of your urge to kill, then the Alfira scene happens, the companion responses are the same "everyone has intrusive thoughts " answers. I think the responses should be way different because from a role play perspective it's immersion breaking.

I carry Corellon's grace also, for the unarmed bonuses. But as an open hand monk I get the option for an unarmed stunning strike action. Now, at level 6, even 2 per turn + bonus flurry of blows. I feel like Muhammed Ali when I see those enemy hitpoints go up in the air.
But no, not a drop of blood to be seen on me.

Not necessarily. Rage only ends if you both don't attack AND don't take any damage. Presumably, if you're using the heal, it's because you took damage no?

They will mostly be too heavy. You will be able to throw Goblins and that's about it. Regular humanoid sized enemies require 20 Str to be thrown.

I thought that SH/Wyll banter was also about his horns, because I also got it once before I picked up Karlach. Now that I think about it, it makes sense it's about the tadpole.

Barbarian options & details MountainViking Yesterday at 08:50 PM
Good Day ALL & Happy Gaming to YOU!! Thanks for any & all Advice in Advance!!

My old PC needs to be replaced and I've been forced to start a 2nd character/campaign with my OG one only about 5.5 level due to constant crashing...
Merry Christmas New PC to me soon-ish! wink

Anywho, I went with Barbarian 1 to start & then added 2 levels of Storm Sorcerer. The fly after casting ability is Sweet since so often there are Goblins above or to get out of reach when needed!!
Since I'm running with LZ & Wyll in the first group I decided to just switch up to Karlach & Gale this run. I mean, Cleric, duh? Am I Right?!? Guess I'll have to play one to leave Shadowheart behind...

Got to say, and it is certainly NOT the first time, that Larian missed the mark on not having Karlach's Soul Coin empowered Infernal Fire apply to her Elk-Heart Barbarian Primal Stampede!
It specifically says it applies to both unarmed & weapon attacks...How would the Stampede Damage not be done with knees, stomps, elbows and or Shield & Weapon on her Run-By??!?
If I was playing table top, I have to think that this would be ruled to apply by 99% of DMs.

Last ??? I am still considering 2 more levels of barbarian for my Storm Sorcerer too; but pondering the SubClass options...
I like the Bear Heart for her as the additional resistance could certainly come in handy in upper levels and MOAR Healing is always good!!
But I have to wonder IF you use your action on Unrelenting Ferocity to Heal, and don't make an attack...your Rage ends, NO??!?? This would kinda break that subclass IMHO

Berzerker for an extra attack when we really want to just whack something down would be great; but only for a few rounds with those -1 to attack stacking quickly.
Also, due to needing balanced bonuses across my abilities, I only have 14 str...will that be enough to use the Enraged Throw on enemies?? Or will most of them be too heavy?

Eagle Heart looks cool too for the increased movement; and Diving Strike looks fun, specially for this Gith girl who can already jump far & fly!!?!!

Picture If You Will - a tall, lithe Gith with the Everburn Lightsaber bouncing around the battle like Yoda vs. Count Doku
Who can also throw Thunder & Lightning around!! wink

Re: Slowness on MacOS since October 1 update ThanosTitan Yesterday at 07:22 PM
For what's worth there seems to be a work around:
https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/...remedy_for_baldurs_gate_3_patch_7s_poor/

But it's already 1.5 month since BG3 was broken on macOS. Not only the platform is left in this state for so long, but also the fact it was broken with Patch 7 means there's little to no testing taking place on macOS.

Re: Game stalls or crashes when trying to lockpick the adamantine chest in grymforge ldo58 Yesterday at 05:17 PM
It's so weird. I sent the chest to camp and continued the adventure. Everything looks fine. Next stop is the plunder of the Zentharim hideout. They have some traps to disarm, was fine. Gates to lockpick. Went fine. Behind the gate, 2 chests that are trapped and locked. Wanted to disarm them and got the same problem. No dice shown, and very slow, stuttering animation and sound. So it looks like a chest problem, as the doors and traps don't have it.
Restarted and sent those 2 chests also to camp.

Then I went to camp and tried to disarm and lockpick the 3 chests from the traveler's chest, and it worked.

Meanwhile in one of my restarts, the game totally reset itself. ( Got the first run question about nudity, the light/contrast test again, and the tutorial reset without asking me. Also my windows options were reset and all mods disabled.) After repairing options and mods I found I had two travelr's chest in camp now.

I hope I can finish the current game like this.

Larian communicated that it wouldn't be until AFTER mod support had been successfully dropped, that includes any bugs and kinks that needed to be
addressed, which is not something they can just leave for the back burner. They also never gave a specific date.

The gunner feat, firearms, the swashbuckler rogue, all of these sound like they’d be more in demand than “pretty dice” and “starting weapons better.”

I’ve also heard a rumor that Larian is waiting until they fix the bug that crashes the game while mods on console.

Can we get some communication from Larian on where this issue stands? How close is the issue to resolved? What is the current standard waiting period for a mod to get the nod to console?

Any information I think from Larian proper would be greatly appreciated, and would likely go a long way to cool heads from the amount of spammed modder rage that’s been on this part of the forums.

Hello! Just to clarify some of the questions here!

We recently shared some information about an upcoming Hotfix that will limit the amount of mods on console. You can read more over here: https://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=954087#Post954087
This hotfix specifically aims to prevent instability, reduced performance, and crashes when playing with more than 100 mods on console.

When it comes to race mods, this is a slightly different issue.
While race mods are generally accepted, the team is currently investigating an issue with them sometimes crashing on console.
While the team investigates, we have paused the approval of mods that add new races. If you are the creator of one, please feel free to still mark your applicable mods for console testing. Thank you for your patience!
As this one is taking some more time to investigate, it will not be included in the upcoming hotfix. But rest assured the team is on the case.

You can find more information on how mods get into console and what guidelines they have to follow over here! https://mod.io/g/baldursgate3/r/modding-guidelines

comments like this will not speed up the process. I would recommend you continue to try and be patient.

Could you atleast forward to Larian that they instabtly allow updates of already approved mods because now we’re 20 versions behind certain mods and we stay with their bugged version

Hello!
Updates to any mod need to for through the same testing process, as updates could change any aspect of a mod and they need to be checked to ensure that they don't include elements that are not supported in other platforms: https://mod.io/g/baldursgate3/r/modding-guidelines
This is a reason why we recommend mods are only marked for console when no more updates are expected (but it's understandable that some mods will need updates anyway!)

The team is currently testing several updates for mods that are already live on console and you will start seeing those live soon!

As Peachy mentioned, we'll be postponing console curation while we prepare to ship the hotfix! While the team will continue to test mods, we will set the next batch of mods for console live after the hotfix goes live.
We will share more info about the Hotfix very soon, in the meantime we appreciate your patience!

So true. I'm dealing with a lot of mental health crap due to material conditions (and the material conditions themselves, obviously), and BG3 was the only thing that made my existence a tiny bit brighter. Now even being able to play an older version of the game doesn't help, because apparently Larian are the same as any other run-of-the-mill corporate entity.

This one is for the topbar:

https://baldursgate3.game/mods#/m/better-topbar

This one for the sidebar:

https://baldursgate3.game/mods#/m/dynamic-sidebar

Both of them are making the icons smaller and gives you more informations.

Beside of these mods he has a few more, really I can only recommend them, all of them are great and extremly lightweight on size, Im on ps5 myself so I know how it is with mods and that we have to exactly look what we are installing.
But Im using them myself and zero problems.
Just check them out hehe

I hope it helps.
