Hello. I am aware that there are some console issues and that there may be a pause on reviews. My request is for a review as soon as it is reasonable, that is all.

I have a Random Spawn mod that also includes difficulty increase options for players and think it would be very well-received. There IS a dependency, also one of my mods, but it is very easy to test (it's basically just a bag for collecting my mod items). If you have any problems with the mod while reviewing it, please do let me know and I will be happy to handle any issues that come up. Thanks!

I seen some people want to be a dark justiciar instead of Shadowheart and I am one of those people. I was thinking of a minor alternate story path. To me it makes no sense why you would not be able to kill Nightsong yourself. Example if Shadowheart is not there with you or gets knocked out in combat, like I know it's because it is part of Shadowheart's dark justiciar story line and it would rub salt in the wound for Selune if Shadowheart was the one to kill Nightsong. But if she is not available then I feel like Shar would want who ever is there with the spear to kill Nightsong as that would still be a big f you to Selune anyways.

I thought of how this alternate story path could work. If Shadowheart gets knocked out in the fight before Nightsong or you do not take her and have the spear then you can kill her. Then Shar will give you and approving speech and you get rewards or that does not have to be a thing and you just get rewards and the dark justiciar tag. But if Shadowheart is present then there should be a roll if you want to kill Nightsong yourself to become a dark justiciar to convince Shadowheart and if you get a high enough number then you kill Nightsong but if you don't get a high enough roll and fail to convince Shadowheart that you should be the one to kill her then you fight Shadowheart and get to kill Nightsong after. Also in the hypothetical speech from Shar after you kill Nightsong should mention for you to come to the church in Baldur's gate.

However just because Shadowheart did not get to kill Nightsong does not mean the chance of becoming a dark justiciar is lost on her as the requirements to become a dark justiciar is killing a priest/priestess of Selune or maybe even just a follower of Selune. So when you come to the House of Grief as a dark justiciar the speech with Viconia will be the same as she wants the artifact and you can choose to give it to her or fight her like what happens after Shadowheart becomes a dark justiciar, just with a bit different dialog of course if you where the one to kill Nightsong. Then after when you go to see Shadowheart's parents the dialog occurs and Shadowheart has a chance to become a dark justiciar if she kills her parents who are devoted followers of Selune. You can choose to convince her to kill her parents, or not, or leave it up to her. If she kills her parents then she becomes a dark justiciar as well but if you convince her not to kill her parents or leave it up to her and she decides not to kill her parents then the same thing would happen like if she became a dark justiciar after killing Nightsong but choose to free her parents. I assume her faith in Shar would remain the same as it was but except she just gave up her dream for her parents.

But if you go to the House of Grief and Shadowheart is dead, not in your party or never was in your party then Shar will offer support in the fight in Baldur's gate anyways after the Viconia fight if you do not give her the artifact. You get support anyways from Shar due to you killing Nightsong.


Also the choosing Shar has your deity should be revived if this actually becomes a thing. An evil path based on Shar would be really awesome like shrouding everywhere with the shadow-curse as an ending for example or something but I don't want to add to many complexities and just the things mentioned above would be really awesome in my mind as I always wanted this option like to become a dark justiciar yourself.

When you speak to Nere while he's caved in, the perception check to see through his eyes more clearly has a visual bug that stops you from seeing anything. Never had this occur in my previous patch 6 playthrough, and it happens consistently now with patch 7.

If Bernard catches you pickpocketing or stealing, his animation bugs out during the dialogue. Can sometimes cause hangs that prevent your characters from responding to your inputs for a period of time.

Gloves of Battlemage's Power Currently don’t do anything. Arcane acuity is too strong, but I would at least like these gloves to do something, anything.

I did mit expect that it is possible but is there a way to copy the current entries in the diary and the Progression of the quests to the Smartphone so thet I can read all thet stuff even when Im away from keyboard?

Can't reload saves in the Lower City ValdDrakul 14/11/24 11:44 PM
A recent issue I'm having is once I reach act 3 I can save in Rivington/Wyrm's Crossing just fine, but when I go to the Lower City 1.) the load time to go there is extremely long by comparison to the rest of the game and 2.) which is the biggest issue, whenever I save in the Lower City and try to reload that file the game kicks me back to the title screen and gives me a error message saying the servers are shutting down. This is only an issue with saves with mods enabled. Previous two games I was using 3rd party mods, but in my current run I'm only using mods found in the in-game mod manger and still having this issue. Anyone know how I can sort this out and actually beat the game again.

I completed a playthrough of this game a while ago and I encountered so many bugs and was locked out of so many quests for seemingly arbitrary reasons where I couldn't if they were bugs or features. The two that come to mind were being locked out of the quest to lift the curse because I opted out of a second round of hide and seek, or being locked out of a submarine quest because I completed the factory quest too early (despite the former quest still being marked on my map). Because of this, I refrained from doing an honor mode run for quite some time until I was sure the game was in as complete a state as it would ever be, since being unable to load previous states only exacerbates issues with bugs and unforgivingly arbitrary quest design.

Yesterday, however, I encountered the most egregious example of this, in the druid grove of all places, an area that has been playtested for years. I passed a perception check to allow me into the hidden cave only for Mol to begin a countdown for me to leave, which I did.

After saving the kid from the Harpies, he told me to go talk to some other kid and ask him about the secret hideout, the one I had already discovered. Turns out he was talking about the kid standing in front of the cave, but that kid did not have any dialogue options, just something about how looking at me made him uncomfortable or something. So anyway, I had no luck talking to any of the kids, so I just went back into the cave because in my previous playthrough, Mol had thanked me for saving the kid. Well this time, he began his countdown from 5, and I couldn't make it out in time. So the guard threw me in jail. I don't know if that was a bug or a feature, but if it's a feature, what would be the point of passing a perception check to access the cave early, only for that to lock you out of a quest? But what happened next was definitely a bug. I managed to escape from Jail only for my jump to stop working completely while I was on the rocks behind the jail. I suspect it's because I set off a trap mid jump.

Anyway at this point I was so pissed off that I just decided to go on murder spree in the grove, making Wyll leave my party, and then Karlach left when I sicked the goblins on the grove. So when Minthara betrayed me at the camp I only had 3 party members (I failed the strength check to recruit Gale). So I lost that honor mode run but I was already over it at that point.

I think this game falls victim to its own ambition. With so many quests and different ways to approach them, trying to refine them all and debug everything is just impossible. It's really disappointing.

Regarding mods being tested for release on Mac/Console, is there an order of priority or a date where new mods won't be tested/approved beyond? If that is the case, I would be super grateful if Larian prioritized (for cosmetic mods) those that support multiple body types. Of the head mods approved so far, only one supports body type 3. Modder plaemon has a great track record, and I'd love to see mods like their "Blaze Elin and Mizora Heads" (multiple races and both female body types supported) available before another "Serafina" or "Maya" one-off. For non cosmetic mods, the one I think is essential is the "Show Camp Night Notifications" mod by macrochiroptera, so I don't miss so much of the wonderful content, and can activate it when it makes sense story-wise and doesn't break immersion. I saw somewhere that Larian was factoring interest in their approval process, so I'm just here to express mine!
