Magic Team help

I'm building an all magic team, So far things are operating smoothly (playing classic) but I see myself not running optimally with my setup, and wondering if anyone can help give me advice.
My team is a Summoner, Geo/Hydro, Archer, and Pyro/Aero. The issue is, my Pyro/Aero is turning more into a battlemage that doesn't really use Aero at all, and I can't figure out how to operate my Archer as elemental. I just reached outside the Fort Joy area (still Act 1 just killed all the magisters in the fort) so I understand that the builds might not be operating as intended yet, however as it stands I'm more of a 75% magic 25% physical split on damage, which is fine if everything moves fine but as I stated, it's not how I intended to play. I use Elemental Arrowheads for the Archer when possible but most of the time I'm not near any elements, as for the Pyro/Aero he seems more of a Pyro/Warrior, which honestly is a TON of fun, but not really getting anything Aero out of him. Maybe that comes later with more skills? As for the Archer i know I'm supposed to use crafted arrows but it's so hard to come by materials or arrows that I end up saving what I have and he ends up almost pure physical.
My questions are.
1. How am I supposed to build/use an elemental Archer?
2. How do I get Aero into the Pyro/Aero properly and any idea on how to build out his stat?
3. Should I switch my Archer to Pyro/Aero distance mage and just keep the current Pyro/Aero as a battlemage?
Side Question: Whats the best way to make money? Skill books are expensive.
