The DD fansite kit contains stuff you can use on a web site, but does not do any of the building itself.

The first thing you will need is an HTML editor; there are some WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors listed here and here. They have an interface similar to a word processor, so there is no need to learn HTML code right away. You may still want to learn some HTML to tweak the design exactly the way you want it, or to change things the editor doesn't allow you to do easily. If you don't mind the download size, the HTML editor in OpenOffice seems good, though I only used it briefly, and can switch back and forth between HTML code and WYSIWYG view (some of the others listed probably do so as well).

Once you have a site built, you need a place to put it. Your ISP may offer web space (though usually not much), or there are a few places you can search for free web hosts, mentioned in you previous posts.

A quick search on Google;
lissaexplains.com - according to the site they start with tutorials aimed at kids and beginners, and also cover more advanced topics

webmonkey - the 'Authoring' how-to section starts off with HTML code, which you may want to look at, or skip until you want to do something a WYSIWYG editor doesn't allow
