I started killing rabbits because they were underfoot, must have killed a bunch of them when there was a cut scene that made me jump it was so abrupt, then I got killed by a big white rabbit with fangs, restarted from my last save and killed him, nice reward but I don't remember what it was, just the way it jumped to the cut scene really startled me aargh

Killer rabbit never drop any loot from what I remember. It does give good exp though. I get 3.5k+ exp by killing it at lvl15.
Posted By: SoulSlayer Re: Killer Rabbit - 22/01/10 06:36 AM
I killed it at lvl 12 got 3.5 as well so i wonder if its just a set amount that doesnt go up or down anyways i didnt get any loot either
Posted By: SoulWing Re: Killer Rabbit - 22/01/10 09:13 AM
I killed it at level 33, but forgot what I got :S
Posted By: Joram Re: Killer Rabbit - 22/01/10 10:32 AM
If I remember good, the first time I killed it I was at laest level 20 and it gives me many XP! So maybe this is not depending on the level your are?
But I'm NOT sure! smirk
Posted By: Shocker Re: Killer Rabbit - 22/01/10 03:48 PM
I'm killing rabbits and chickens and ducks to see if there is and other killer things, this time I'll make a point to remember what my reward is
Posted By: ACSS Re: Killer Rabbit - 22/01/10 04:29 PM
There no killer duck or chicken or what so ever. Only 1 bunny

A killer rabbit is not to be trifled with:

I'd like to know where this bunny can be found. If it's not to much trouble can someone tell me the general area?
Posted By: Shocker Re: Killer Rabbit - 22/01/10 07:20 PM
you don't find it, it finds you, just keep killing rabbits and he'll show up, the last time I was looking for the white rabbit near the sorceress Sosostra
Posted By: CoarseDragon Re: Killer Rabbit - 22/01/10 07:43 PM
Thanks, I must be behind on my bunny slaying because he has come to find me yet.
Posted By: Shocker Re: Killer Rabbit - 24/01/10 02:49 AM
OK this is a update on the Killer Rabbbit,
1. he is in the small vale that is close to Sosostra, accessable after you get the quest to find
the small white rabbit, start killing rabbits in the vale and he WILL show up
2. VERY BAD animal, EXTEMELY hard to kill rpg008
3. awesome reward 3238 XP seems the number that everyone is getting, including me
Posted By: spif2001 Re: Killer Rabbit - 24/01/10 08:08 AM
If you just wan't to kill the Killer Rabbit for the achievement, then this is how I killed it the easy way:

1. Have multiple characters.
2. Have a character in high level running around the fjords.
3. Have a character in low level do the white rabbit quest by Sosostra.
4. Save and kill rabbits in the area around Sosostra until the killer rabbit jumps you. The Killer Rabbit is loose!
5. Load the high level character and kill some rabbits - The Killer Rabbit will appear!
6. Easily chop it's head off.

Posted By: ACSS Re: Killer Rabbit - 24/01/10 10:33 AM
You can actually kill it anywhere you like, just decide where you want to release it and chop the rabbit around. It will appear only after certain amount of rabbits you murder. So just save every time after you kill some rabbits. Then you will know when it will come to the last rabbit needed to kill.

The exp is roughly like that. If you had rank 5 wisdom, you get total of 3.5k+. That end the case.

Don't lure the killer rabbit off a cliff though he will never show up again. I stood down a slope as he was slaughtering me 5 times in a row. Well he came down that slope after me and just kept sliding and off the cliff and into the river.
He never respawned again.

By the way he appeared towards the bandit camp for me right down from the bridge where the guy goes to drink his booze after you give it to him so the couple with the pregnant woman can escape.

I've seen reference to the killer rabbit in the Orobas fjords as well in some book or note by a guard in the harbor. Something about some guy that liked kicking rabbits and he was found ripped apart and some bloody white fur around him or something close to that.
Have not found him the fjords yet though, was hoping he respawned in there but no such luck.
Heck at level 33 I'll probably just kill him with my looks now. aargh

I do know I should have never leveled this high though, I'm in my bra and panties with no jewelry and just fought Raze in his fortress and he only got me down maybe 100 hitpoints and I took him out one skill point bare fisted with my little girly punches. groovy
Well at least my dragon still gets slaughtered in fights, that's the only time I get killed now.
Posted By: SoulSlayer Re: Killer Rabbit - 30/01/10 02:47 AM
Killer bunny only comes when you kill lots of rabbits he can be found in broken valley or orobas fjords
if your low lvl a good strategy is to find a rock close by jump on it and pound on the bunny till its dead be warned it takes awhile and the rabbit will start leaving if the rock is close to where you found the bunny your good XD
Posted By: Diff_1 Re: Killer Rabbit - 30/01/10 05:29 AM
My killer bunny never came back and I killed probably 1000 rabbits in between the valley and fjords.
He slide off the cliff into the river, never be seen again. Sunk out of sight like a brick. hahaha

I suspect he is still hopping around down under the water as I had some goblins slide thru the ground on a hill and they could hit me with ranged weapons but I could not even bring up their markers. I could tell where they were by where the shots were coming from but could not see them.
The place the goblins fell thru was inbetween the fortune teller and the enchanter where you get ambushed on that bridge by a group of goblins. They fell thru on the enchanters side in the hill going down to the water.

I suspect killer bunny did much the same thing.
Posted By: LASTTEMPLAR Re: Killer Rabbit - 31/01/10 05:18 PM
As soon as you kill the 20 th rabbit, that is when the killer bunny comes for you. If you can keep count you can make sure to have a big rock to jump up on. then you just kill it with a bow. No problimeo.
Posted By: cmgamer Re: Killer Rabbit - 31/01/10 07:45 PM
Be careful if you have spawned him at a low level. I keep kicking bunnies now just walking. And my summond creature does the same. Also my necro creature seems to kill them once the battle is over. Having the bunny pop up in mid battle can be a real pain. laugh
Posted By: Diff_1 Re: Killer Rabbit - 01/02/10 05:51 AM
Hmm 20 rabbits, thought it was more then that. I take it that does not include the ones in the first little village at the beginning of the game where you choose what kind of weapon you want to use.

When he spawned for me it was off towards the bandit camp on that narrow pathway going up towards the bandit camp from where you can run thru that log. I had nothing but cliffs on both sides so I went down the cliff a little and away he went into the river never to be seen again. cry

Also watch out if you have any kind of poison aura enchantment or charm as far as the 20 rabbits. Don't know which but on one of my objects I had some kind of poison damage that just running by a rabbit or chicken would keel them over.
Found out I had that when I went in the chicken rune room and they all keeled over in a puff of green smoke when I got near them. hahaha
Posted By: blazyn Re: Killer Rabbit - 04/02/10 10:17 PM
haha I'm right around the cutoff for KB and I'm at a lvl 7 - I have NO chance, so I better start being nice to bunnies, because I've tried several times to take him out from a rock using magic blast/poison arrows and he's a lvl 22 - it does NO damage, and anytime it does, he regenerates. Guess I'll have to wait a few levels and convert to being a bunny lover for the time being <3
Posted By: Raze Re: Killer Rabbit - 05/02/10 03:28 AM

Watch out for poison aura equipment bonuses; I've taken out a few bunnies and chickens that way just by walking past them.

Even at level 15 the killer bunny is fairly difficult (at least without using magic/poison). I got him at the river just downstream from the fortune teller. He couldn't get up the bank if I stayed higher up; if I moved downstream too much he would figure out that he could get around the steep section and come uphill. A bow did damage, though relatively slowly. It helped after I summoned my creature; it kept him occupied and stationary, so I started doing a little better damage.
With Rush Attack on level 4 I had a 45% chance of stunning. With full hit points I saved and then rush attacked; if he got stunned I could get a hit or two in before having to run away again. If he did not get stunned, then I would get hit which could mean instant death (~410 HP), but usually just got me down low enough that the game automatically paused with a warning about dangerously low health. After jumping away, I would switch to a bow for a minute until my HP regenerated, then save and Rush Attack again. After the second (possibly third) successful Rush Attack, he was low enough to finish him off with Rothman's bow (for the extra Wisdom level).

With level 5 Wisdom, all from equipment bonuses, I got 3561 experience points for the bunny.
Posted By: Joram Re: Killer Rabbit - 05/02/10 08:06 AM
I did it all with my bow, poison arrow and Magic Blast, sitting on a rock in the Bandit Camp... I was, I think, level 13 or 14.
Posted By: daisy Re: Killer Rabbit - 19/03/10 03:32 AM
Well.... I was lvl 15 and in Broken Valley village when i first saw that killer bunny, he killed me sooo many times, but i figured out at way to get him -I ran all around the village and finally lured him to the training guards and they trapped him on the defense wall by the stairs cause he won't cross the stream - then i was able to kill him.... but get this hahahaha when i was in O F and i was on that little island trying to kill Charlie, I accidently killed a bunny there with my explosive arrows and guess who showed up again hahahaha, but i was able to kill him in dragon form lol I thought he would only show up once but I think because the guards helped it bugged out. I did get credit in the achievements the first time, I know cause i checked.

All you need to do is kill a lots of rabbits?
Posted By: Xigbar Re: Killer Rabbit - 30/06/10 06:42 AM
can you kill him with your creature and the undead skill
Posted By: Raze Re: Killer Rabbit - 30/06/10 06:51 AM

Yes, you can trigger the killer rabbit's appearance by killing lots of regular bunnies (save periodically, in case he is too tough to handle, and there is nothing nearby to climb or jump onto).

At level 15 my creature could not do any damage, but did hold the killer rabbit's attention (he may have been able to do better with a ranger or mage head, though). I think the demon is generally considered to be the best summon for combat.
Posted By: Xigbar Re: Killer Rabbit - 30/06/10 06:53 AM
ok thanks its like the head has a class
Great i have a ranger head
Posted By: Xigbar Re: Killer Rabbit - 30/06/10 07:13 AM
I totally(I mean we)killed the killer rabbit because i was in the bandits den and the new order guys were pawning it hahahah
Posted By: Raze Re: Killer Rabbit - 30/06/10 07:33 AM

Ya, that's one of the most effective techniques I've seen (as long as you still get the experience for it).

The creature's head does determine its class (warrior heads can have Rush Attack / Fatality skill bonuses, ranger heads have FireBall, and mage heads have Magic Missile / Magic Blast). I just automatically went with a warrior head (which was fine in Broken Valley), but at the start of the fjords I found it much more helpful with a ranger head, and I upgraded to a mage head as soon as I found one.
Posted By: Xigbar Re: Killer Rabbit - 01/07/10 10:41 AM
I killed it when i was level 14 i just killed all the rabbits in the bandit camp then he will show up when it comes closer just lure it around and the new order will come near it and they'll just kill it (the killer rabbit can't regenerate when he cant walk around) just summon your creature and your undead and just use the bow) hehhehe.

Yeah kill that big fat ass bloody bunny
Posted By: thatguy8922 Re: Killer Rabbit - 03/07/10 05:45 PM
I found a little Easter Egg related to this.
At the Orobas Fjords Harbor, inside the building, on the table next to the bounty board, is a book of recently cought criminals. It mentions this one criminal who was found pummeled to death in a bush with patches of bloody white fur all over him. I never new that would be a practical warning until i saw this thread, but it was funny nonetheless.
Posted By: Xigbar Re: Killer Rabbit - 05/07/10 11:54 AM
No he did'nt got pummeled he got surprised buttsecks and he got squaids (squirell aids)
Posted By: Akatosh Re: Killer Rabbit - 07/07/10 06:45 AM

Hello

Ok, I am down to one kill off spawning the Killer Bunny ..i know this as i killed one in the middle of a fight..After not saving for an hour frown ..lol.My plan is to find somewhere , where i have cleared out the mobs and not likely to pass that way.kill a rabbit, get it to spawn and run!!

As i am only lvl 11 ..my spells do 1hp damage and it kills me in one hit if I try to Melee it.

What I want to know is, will it despawn after awhile or can i carry out my plan then head back after leveling up abit more?? or will it keep spawning every time i kill a rabbit, until i kill it?

Thanks

Nevets
Posted By: Diff_1 Re: Killer Rabbit - 31/08/10 04:38 PM
Not sure but I knew nothing of killer rabbit when he spawned on me and he spawned so close that by the time I even saw him I was dead. LOL
Not sure if I was just in the right place exactly where he spawns or if he always spawns that close. If it is the later then it would be mighty hard to run away All I know is I just saw the 1 second cut scene with his face and then he instantly one hit me.

I never got to kill my killer rabbit as I was low level as well and only did one damage and lured him off the side of a hill/cliff where he would get stuck and he unfortunately slid into the river and was never seen again.

I'd think you could make him spawn and then run away but you'd need to remember where he spawned to come back to that area later. But I'm not sure as I just kept reloading my nearest save game and trying to kill him till he slid off the cliff and into the river as I said.
Posted By: Raze Re: Killer Rabbit - 31/08/10 04:58 PM

It will only spawn once. I'd guess it should hang around until you get back to it, but I don't have a save before then to check if it would despawn.

I did have enough time to jump away from the killer rabbit, since it usually couldn't one hit kill me. If it spawns where the last rabbit was, then taking it out with a bow or magic would give you extra time to get away or jump/climb to higher ground.

If you make sure you don't have any poison auras on jewelry, etc, then it shouldn't be too hard to avoid killing rabbits (don't run past them quite close, or your character can rarely, but fatally, kick them).
Posted By: Lorikeet Re: Killer Rabbit - 01/05/11 04:56 AM
Maxed out poision arrow skill and with a descent bow jumped on the broken piller nearest the side of the crater/arena and hacked away at killer rabbit was lvl 20 or there abouts.
Posted By: Raze Re: Killer Rabbit - 01/05/11 05:18 AM

That is what I did in DKS, jumping onto a rock (at the bottom of the path that leads up to the sleeping travelers), killing the level 22 killer rabbit on level 10. In DKS he drops some random equipment, though, so I reloaded my previous save (I will get the same experience up to level 19, but the loot quality should be better if I wait).
I don't think he drops anything in D2:ED, though.

Welcome to the forum. wave

Is the loot of the Killer Rabbit worth the effort?

I don't know if I have the chance to kill enough rabbits to trigger the "Killer Rabbit" after I have my Battle Tower ... but in the past (when I started my DKS) I've decided to not kill any rabbit ... it also mean I never wearing a item with Poison Aura on (or I first disenchanted it!).

So far I've only kill accidentally 1 rabbit & now I'm in My Batle Tower, not Laiken's Tower anymore :hihi:

Posted By: SENIOR CINCO Re: Killer Rabbit - 02/05/11 12:42 PM
My last playthrough I met the KB for the first time.
I was lvl 13 to his 22
He dropped a high lvl (don't rem how high) AX w/ +75 mag dmg.
I went directly to my enchanter and jacked up both my hmrs

EDIT
I think I posted this before. If so, sorry for the redundancy.
Posted By: Joram Re: Killer Rabbit - 02/05/11 01:58 PM
Thanks for letting me know about the loot wink
I will only go back (I make a save game just before I go to take over the Battle Tower from Laiken biggrin ) if I know the only locked chest I can't open via lockpicking it contain a Set item.
Otherwise I go further on, and so I probably miss the Killer Rabbit (& XP & loot),
... and finally I can spread my wings and fly ! delight
Posted By: Raze Re: Killer Rabbit - 02/05/11 07:14 PM

You didn't miss anything unique. I got a couple nice elder class equipment pieces in DKS killing the bunny (a necklace and helmet), which are certainly viable upgrade options for my current equipment, but nothing that I wouldn't be replacing in a few levels, or so.
Each of the opponents in DKS at the start of the fjords give more experience than the killer bunny, so missing that isn't a big deal, either.

Hope you brought your holy hand grenade! Bonus for the reference, although it should be obvious where the inspiration for the killer rabbit came from.

Just fought him at level 19. Was a warrior build, thought I could go toe to toe with it. BIG MISTAKE! he shredded me. came back the second time, naturally gulped down best boosting potions I had, summoned both creature and undead, neither really did much to him, but something for it to tarry with right? just kept retreating and firing arrows. Stun arrow was great for giving me a few extra attacks before needing to retreat some more. SOB chased me over most of the western half of broken valley.

I decide to fight him again, my ranger build will have an easier time.
