I cannot get the mayor to accept the ale. What did I mess up.

I have tried giving it to him in trade and nothing happens.

Also is this supposed to be listed as a quest. It isn't

I have all other members and this is really frustrating me.

well if you mean the councle member he is near that big axe you have to look at the statue and the wizard will tell you where hes located better then i have then you must solve the quest for him to join you in the council of seven.

You do not actually need to give the mayor any of Rimmer's ale. He would just tell you a password for the sentry in the dwarven halls mines, but you get more experience for killing it, and it is an easy fight.

Once you have at least 5 council members, you will be able to scry successfully for the dwarf. After talking to him and getting a quest, the second level of the mine will be open.

I don't know if SlugDog is running into the same problem I'm having...

I've successfully gathered the following council members:

* Imp
* Wizard
* Orc
* Lizard
* Human

I then succesfully scryed the dwarven member. I've gone to the above ground dwarf city and spoke with the mayor. He is drunkd and mentions that he would like some mead. I then spoke with the imprisoned elf. I've spoke with the dwarven potential council member. I've purchased ale from Rimmer. I then return to the mayor but am not presented with the text option to give him the ale to get the password out of him.

Am I also missing something or have I done something to mess up this quest? Thanks in again for all the help!

I've read in another thread that the password is not required and that one should be able to go the dwarf mines and finish up without it. I'll try that tomorrow and let everyone know how it goes. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

well i did it without the password the sentinal that was garuding the place dosnt even move its a basic free exp. so i strongly recomand you guys just go into the caves and smash up that pile of rocks and finish the quest instead of trying to get a dwarf drunk <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
