I didn't realise until my game was well advanced that you could load savegames to get different items in chests or a different choice from a trader but now I'm in the Wasteland and Kroxy has charms to sell I wanted to see what I could get.

No matter what I do, I get the same choice of stuff to buy every bl***y time <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/memad.gif" alt="" />

I've tried quicksaves and savegames but it makes no difference whatsoever.

Please help!!

After you talk to him, it will take awhile for his inventory to be re-set. You need to save before hitting the alt key, running your mouse over Kroxy or talking to him. Then you will be able to re-load to look for specific equipment / charms.

Oh well, I suppose I should just stick to my principles anyway and take what the game gives me!

It also takes some time in game, too, if you just traded with him recently. About 10-15 minutes, as I recall.

Sleeping time in-game doesn't count either. You need real time for inventory to change, and it can take a while.

I haven't traded with him yet - I was under the impression that if I reloaded it would give me different items each time. I'm obviously a very confused bunny!

He always has a pretty standard set of potions at the top of his list, but re-loading (if you have not hit alt or run your mouse over him) should give you different items past that.

Nope, I just can't get the items to be any different at all.

I saved the game exactly where Zandalor takes you in the village so I definitely hadn't run my mouse over Kroxy.

Thanks for all the advice but I just can't be bothered messing around just to get the charm I want. Its starting to spoil my enjoyment of the game now.

If you buy up his whole stock, will he reload his inventory?

Kroxy seems to reset his inventory whenever he goes walking. Wait outside of his shop until he walks off. Then, when he reappears inside of it (I don't know how he does it, either, maybe Kroxy has teleporter pyramids, too), his stuff should be refreshed. I used Divine Death/Resurrect on the wimpy Imp Chieftains for phat lewt, then loitered around Kroxy's shop until he went for a stroll.

He won't leave if you're in his shop, of course, so wait outside near the wagon. Few other shop keepers reset their inventory in any reasonable amount of time, that's why I so love Kroxy.
