Please help me. I`m a Level 30 Mage and very successful at my quests up to now but I`m trying to kill the dragon for the second warrior quest and I can`t even approach him because he kills me immediately. Do I have to wait until I reach an upper level or is there a way to kill him. Thanks for your help!

well,you don't need to be very high level,but you need high resistances (charms or spellshield) and high level of lightning,but skeleton wall would be good for distraction and frost weapon for 'cooling down' the dragon rider <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Check your resistances; if they are negative, install the latest patch.
Have you tried Curse, then Freeze, etc.? Blind, then Hellspikes? A shadow potion, then any attack spell which does not require a target, used near (but not directly on) the dragon rider?

If all else fails, like they said, get your lightning spell up and I did it by constant chain pausing. (cast lightning as fast as possible, pause at low life, heal-spell or potions, pause, recast shield, pause, lightning, repeat.) Hot keys will help. I did not have any set at the time cause I kept forgetting it was possible. This method works, but it takes cracker jack timing. I would not suggest it hehe, but it works. Maybe you should invest a skill point in Deadly gift (survivor's spell).
With it you can summon death scorpions out of scorpion trap, and they'll kill the rider for sure. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
