I'll post all my findings here after a few hours of armor hunting. I'll keep everything as brief as possible as to not give everything away. Please feel free to add your findings to this post or PM me if you want more detailed instructions as to how to acquire a piece.

I wrote a little guide for finding the 3 sets in Flames of Vengeance buried in another thread but it would fit better here I think :P
Dragon Wizard:
Dragon Wizard Cuirass: was given after mind reading the tree that likes to zap people
Dragon Wizard Bracers: are in a chest in the far corner of the room where you pick the "flower that does not exist", in the temple of nimir as mind reading the ghost reveals there is a button behind the first chest.
Dragon Wizard helmet: is found in Gula's Chest, after curing him of his unfortunate curse.
Dragon Wizard leggings: are found in the chest in Laeniel's Room in Hansel's house.
Dragon Wizard earrings: magically appeared in inventory after mindreading Ursula the witch, who thinks about enchanted earrings. (I let her go)
Shadow Archer:
Shadow Archer Cuirass: is found if you side with willy against the assassins, and kill them.
Shadow Archer bracelet: was found in the jewelery box in the room where Abbott was trapped in, inside the forgotten crypt.
Shadow Archer pants: were in a chest in a small treasure room in the temple of nimir
Shadow Archer gloves: were in a chest in the healer house, after mind reading the guy lying by the door in the bed.
Shadow Archer helm: is sitting in a chest in source square, more specifically right as you enter the courtyard where the Engineer is fought. The chest is sitting on a platform on the rightmost wall, just as you enter the courtyard. Running up the platform the Engineer is on and then platform jumping is required to reach the chest.
Viper:
Viper Cuirass: is given when mindreading the guy that rewards you for killing targets on the wanted poster, and asking about it.
Viper Belt: is looted off of General Luxurious
Viper Leggings: are found in a chest in the back of the locked room in the sewer tunnels in crow's nest. Mind reading the chef there reveals there are buttons next to the lower torches as you cross the bridge-path to his room.
Viper gloves: are found in a chest in the secret room in the basement of the haunted playhouse, opened by the button next to the desk
Viper helm: appears in a jewel box that materializes after arranging the paintings in the top room of the Phoenix Inn in the right order, 1st painting move up once, 2nd do not move, 3rd painting move up 3 times.
Updated with some more setpieces, currently trying hard to find more.
The archmage chest peice is brought from the the Archmage.. you need to read his mind after closing down all the rifts in the ministary.
Awesome, thanks for adding it. I'll update the top post.
- Merdarion
It's good of you to take the time to do this, but some of the directions are really vague. You should add the location of them.
Bracers: Penelope's grave, reward <- Easy to miss, and even easier to miss the necklace needed. "South of West BV Shrine"
Gauntlets: Corpse of Jack Bolton.
Bracelet: Gwynn's chest, mindread for password.
Who are these guys, and where are they located?
Leggings: From the trader in the camp around the ships.
These are the only ones I miss myself, and what ships?! Sentinel Island?! Campion Harbour?
Necklace: Mr. Shiny, chest on the beach by the ghost.
Where is this guy located?
Rivellon Guard:
Buy chest armor from Blacksmith in the Broken Valley village.
Loot legs from chest after defeating Arben.
These, it's vice versa. Legs from Blacksmith, Derk. And chest from Lord Arben.
I didn't add more than a few keywords due to the fact I didn't want the post to be one big bad spoiler tag, instead, I opted for keywords and posted people could PM me for more detailed instructions.
I'll answer your questions below and add some links (quests are involved), however, as a general warning, the following
will contain spoilers and I won't filter them out individually.
Sentinel Island part:
Leggings: From the trader in the camp around the ships. --- This means the trader, namely Sam who's close to the shipwreck camp on Sentinel island. His exact location can be found here:
http://guides.gamepressure.com/divinityiiegodraconis/guide.asp?ID=8166 (nr. 14)
Mr. Shiny is acquired by doing the Hermit's quest. It is a key (Mr. Shiny) which opens the chest on the same map. (S1)
Orobas Fjords part:
Thanks for pointing out the chest/legs bit, I missed that, I'll update the post right away. I haven't updated/confirmed Phyonix'find yet due to the fact I'm exploring every single bit of the maps in order to find more goodies and I didn't make a save game at that stage the first time I played trough it.
Hope this helped,

Well, I understand however adding the name of the area I dont see how it would spoil. I can understand Jack Bolton as he's part of a quest if I remember right. But you could at least add Orobas Fjord or Sentinel Island so one doesn't go trying to look in vain as it will become inaccesible later, as in the Scorpion Legs. I don't think Gwynn would be spoiled by saying High Hall for example. And you have already specified caves for example.
As for PM for a more detailed location, it might seem like a good idea now, but sooner or later you will probably become inactive and it will be hard to get that information. So if you don't mind I'll create a more detailed version and post it here, with spoilertags ofc so one can get the exact information.
Also, Phoynix post is correct. Was one of the 2 pieces I missed and found it thanks to him, and I wish I could tell where I found the Defenders of Aleroth Legs as I have them, but don't remember. Alas I'm doing another playthrough atm so if I find them I'll post it here.
Anyone know where they key is to open that box for the Shadow Archer bracelet?
Anyone can perhaps tell me how to jump towards the chest for the Dragon Wizard Bracers?? I've tried and tried and it's or too low or a wall blocks my jump. (The chest with the button behind it) If anyone can give me any pointers how to jump I would be happy. I'm now at the highest point where I picked up the flower and I tried to jump from there, but I just won't make it, also on the small ledge below it it's too far away.
I made this jump, though I don't recall exactly how. There was a ledge in between the chest with button and the chest with the item if I recall right.
If you seem to always over jump, I found it helpful to aim for the wall so it stopped me from going to far in a jump (try and hit the corner angle where the platform and its adjacent wall meet)
Nevermind I found it, by reading another post here on the forum, behind the first chest where the flower is, there's a button on the chest itself.
Though I found the Jewelry Box for the Shadow Archer Bracelets, but how to obtain the key for it?? Since my lockpicking is max. level I can't open it.
mindread Abbott for jewelry box key location when you first meet him, not sure if its one of those "spawns only when mindreading" or if its always there.
Sitting in a torch in the room Abbott is trapped in
Defenders of Aleroth Leggings
can be found by completing the Giant Red Orb challenge outside Ba'al mine / West of Quarry Shrine pre-battle tower
where on sentinel island is the chest with the blood echelon armor?
Blood Echelon Armor chest:
Armor: chest after going to Sentinel Island. --- When you go to Sentinel Island, you spawn inside the Maxos temple. There are two chests, one to your left, one to your right. The chest on your right contains the piece you are looking for.
On a sidenote, I can't edit the top post anymore, once all pieces have been found, I'll either create a new post, either hope someone with superpowers can edit the top post for me.

Thats what happened to me which is one of the reasons why I tagged your post with mine :p
Please could anyone be more specific about the Rivellon Guard warhammer,I seem to have missed it?
Blood Echelon Armor chest:
Armor: chest after going to Sentinel Island. --- When you go to Sentinel Island, you spawn inside the Maxos temple. There are two chests, one to your left, one to your right. The chest on your right contains the piece you are looking for.
I have to say that's inconvenient and a bit unfair, all the other sets can be completed while you're still in Broken Valley, and this set even restricts you to using a Sword + Shield to get the full effect of it.
Please could anyone be more specific about the Rivellon Guard warhammer,I seem to have missed it?
You need to kill the demon by the South Valley shrine, which means talking to Zix-Zax after talking to George Gremory and getting his quest.
Great stuff,Stabbey, thanks, this means I haven't missed it as I haven't done that yet.
Wild Dwellers Cuirass
is on Sentinel island in the left-hand chest as soon as you arrive. The Blood Echelon Cuirass is in the chest across from it.
Is there a screenshot of where the key in Barnabus's lair for the Archmafe necklace?
the key is where you have to do the platforming to deactivate his shield.
Its immedately on a ledge where fire comes out at the fork to the two rooms, its infact directly in front of you and you can miss the item effect before of the fire effect.
anyone find the rest of the scorpion set yet? still need the gauntlets, belt and earrings. thanks
so am i correct in saying, that due to the Scorpion Leggings being only available from a certain trader where the land is now covered in toxic poison i can no longer obtain them?
that's extremely annoying..
Scorpion Belt location
pretty sure i found it in Stones fortress, which you enter via a portal in Orobas Fjords
Too bad that guides.gamepress doesn't have an armorset guide with pictures or a drawn map. I don't even know if there will be a Strategy guide for Div2:DKS/FoV would be nice though, cause with the forum it's nice and all, but it can be quite annoying if your waiting for an answer so u can continue lol.
But I want to have the full scorpion set, but I think that I've missed the leggings then, so far I've got 1 ring, necklace, armor, helmet and 1 other part, but which one I don't know lol.
found the earrings for the scorpion set in keara's fortress it was in one of the many golden chests there was guarded by alot of demons. i think it was on a separate island. cant really remember was kinda out of it last night. also found the belt for it in another fortress. seems to be one per fortress.
PC, are you playing the DKS version or Ergo Draconis?
Please keep in mind that the drops are different for both games.

sorry forgot to say that i'm playing dks. in ed most if not all the sets are found in or around the fortresses. had a devil of a time finding them back then. tho not as hard as now apparently. missing only the ring and gauntlets then woot!!
I can't edit my original post (like I said, I'll make a new topic later when it's complete), so I'll just add the belt location below in my usual cryptic format.
Scorpion:
Belt: Blue chest at flying fortress (trough bv portal)
- Merdarion
This seems the right place for a question on armor sets
Have the sets been reworked or are they the same as they were in ED? I recall collecting a few of the sets and remember them being vastly inferior to a tailored drop/purchased set. Are they still mainly for the look or have they been updated? Thanks all!
So Apparently I can't get my Scorpion Set complete, since I'm in Ouroboros Fjords now and I forgot to buy the leggings at sentinel island
Too bad, oh well my next playthrough I always can try to get it again
still have not found the gauntlets or ring, so im laying of looking for it for a bit and switched to the ulthing set which is a lot easier to put together tho no jewelry and weapons.

Scorpion Gauntlets -
Patriarch's cave, the key-locked chest past the 3-dragon door.
Scorpion Ring - I'm not completely sure on this, but I think it's in
Kali's flyiong fortress - the one at the end of Rivertown Gorge, in a blue chest on the lowest part of the first large island.
Archmage Warhammer -
Stone's Flying Fortress. Take the second teleporter, and head left. There's a chest beneath a statue and across from a Dragon Elf skeleton. Beware, the chest is trapped.
Hunter Ring -
Raze's Flying Fortress. This FF is a string of islands that get higher the closer you get to Raze. The ring is in a chest in the island at the halfway point.
Scorpion Earrings -
Keara's Flying Fortress. This fortress is hard to search, it's one huge, tall island with a lot of chests. The one you're looking for is almost at the top of the island. In fact, there is open sky above. The only things higher are the teleporter and a small Lighning Tower island.
Anyone know where the Hunter Earrings are? That's the only piece I don't have a location for yet.
EDIT: Found them.
Kali's Flying Fortress, first large island, through teleporter, in a chest.
Can't seem to open the door to the top room of the Phoenix Inn

Thanks, I must have pasted it a dozen times without seeing it.
Awesome, looks like most sets are complete, starting to compile all of this information in a new post (I'll ofc link to this original post).
- Merdarion
Well, darn, I don't suppose you can get the scorpion gauntlets after the Ego Draconis part of the game, can you? I was really looking forward to that set.
What about Ulthring's set?
Ulthring's set is the same as it was in ED:
Helmet:
Kali’s Flying Fortress - Mind-read Kali and loot
Cuirass:
Stone’s Flying Fortress. - Mind-read Stone and loot.
Gauntlets:
Stone’s Flying Fortress. - Mind-read Xanlosch and loot.
Leggings:
Raze’s Flying Fortress - Mind-read Raze and loot.
Ahh. I'll remember that my next play through. What of the aquisition of the Scorpion set, can it be done in FoV?
Ahh. I'll remember that my next play through. What of the aquisition of the Scorpion set, can it be done in FoV?
Of course not. You can't get anything at all from Ego Draconis territory once you enter Aleroth in FoV.
Ya, I missed buying the scorpion leggings on sentinel island as well. I wish there was some way to still get it just to complete the set. No big deal though as I'm fining some other good leggings but it is kind of annoying not being able to complete the full set. Especially for someone like myself that may have a mild case of compulsive disorders lol
Hunter Ring -
Raze's Flying Fortress. This FF is a string of islands that get higher the closer you get to Raze. The ring is in a chest in the island at the halfway point.
I can't seem to find this anywhere. Any help, map shot or detailed description. I need only this Hunter ring to complete all sets, but it's location eludes me. Thx
If anyone have Steam-DKS, tell us about new armor - Orobas set, Annihilator, and Mining Guild. Where player can find them, they stats and images with them.
If anyone have Steam-DKS, tell us about new armor - Orobas set, Annihilator, and Mining Guild. Where player can find them, they stats and images with them.
They show up in your inventory automatically in Farglow and all pieces require level 15. Images and stats will take longer.
What is that set? Never see it.
Meanwhile, i take screenshots for three new sets, available in Steam-version DKS. Here we go.
Orobas Set [i <3 it]
Mining Guild Set [Robin Hood's style]
Annihilator Set [Strange set, without leggings, so i use leggings from previous set]
If anyone have Steam-DKS, tell us about new armor - Orobas set, Annihilator, and Mining Guild. Where player can find them, they stats and images with them.
Sigh, I wish they wouldn't do these exclusives where players getting the game through the "wrong" channels miss out. Seems to be an increasingly common trend with publishers, but as a gamer I find it's all rather irritating.
Since Meradion never made his compiled thing and vanished from the forums it seems, I'll do it.

is there in any way I could get the scorpion necklace after the sentinel island and broken valley is been overflowed by poison???
is there anyway to unlock the locked door inside the tunnel? coz i already killed the chef T_T
if you mean the sewers under the crow's nest, the buttons (3) that open the storage room are near the lower row of torches along the bridge/pathway to him, as for if you can see and press them without having to mindread him first, I have no idea.
AWESOME!!!! thank you nasuradin your the BEST!!!
and ooh 1 more thing my last favor..
i have stuck with this 3 quests since i started playing this game... can you please help me out

the Archmage Warhammer is located inside a chest inside Stone's Fortress Inner Passage it is set at the foot of a statue of Danien WARNING: as soon as u open the chest a trap is set off that kills u istantly the way i got around this is to stand to the left or right of the chest and open it as soon as you open it and taken what you want jump or roll back the way you came DO NOT JUMP STRAIGHT DOWN THE PATH STICK TO THE SIDES AS THE TRAP WILL EXPLODE ON CONTACT WITH CHEST AND IT CONTINUES TO FIRE.
I cant find scorpion sword. I have done grave robbers quest, pulled 3 levers, 2 platforms appeared but i dont know what to do next.
I could not find the Viper Gloves. I mindread and then looked for secret button at desk. Problem is, I could not see a single desk, there are only chests and tables and little tables. I scoured around all of them several times.
I then was able to open the secret room, which I thought was the door in the floor, without problems and went downstairs. In none of the chests there were the gloves.
Damn archmage set is incomplete for me bacause I missed necklace and warhammer !! CRAP! Where was that warhammer..........about necklace I understood already
I've manage to find all parts from 3 set of amours except 2 parts which is:-
Viper Belt: is looted off of General Luxurious
problem : where is this Generel Luxurious ?
Viper helm: appears in a jewel box that materializes after arranging the paintings in the top room of the Phoenix Inn in the right order, 1st painting move up once, 2nd do not move, 3rd painting move up 3 times.
problem : cant find key to open top room of Phoenix Inn.
any advise? thx..
I cant find scorpion sword. I have done grave robbers quest, pulled 3 levers, 2 platforms appeared but i dont know what to do next.
jump up and onto the platforms, and there should be 2 sets of 2 white pillars with beams going between them. the chest should be on the far beam. you have to use the platforms to get up there then jump over to the chest. not sure if it needed a key, but if it does, it's inside that cave.
hope that helps
Can't find the archmage necklace! Where is that key?
I cant find scorpion sword. I have done grave robbers quest, pulled 3 levers, 2 platforms appeared.....
Do the levers need to be pulled in a particular order?
I've tried a number of combinations and the platforms still do not show up.
I'm still waiting on the North American Xbox release of DKS, but in D2:ED the 3 levers did not have to be activated in any particular order.
Did you try leaving the lost tomb, and maybe the fjords, and then returning?
Thanks for the tips Raze.
Unfortunately, that approach did not work.
What did work however, (in my particular instance), was to reload an earlier save and play through, (yet again).
Thankfully I save regularly and keep old saves as a backup and didn't have to go back too far.
What is annoying though with this game, is that it seems to be an increasingly common 'workaround', and detracts from the enjoyment of playing.
Shame as DKS would otherwise be the best Fantasy RPG I've played in recent times.
What are "Bracers"? I don't find a word trying to translate it !
Arm-guards, i.e. the 'metal gloves' part of any given armour.
Edit: 'gauntlets' would be a better word actually.
Thanks Macbeth !
Bracers ... what's in a name ...
...
First I though it must be a mistake or something (Bracers > Bracelet )
I keep this in mind
You're welcome!
Aleroth Archmage:Necklace: [spoiler]Chest, Grab Key from bottom TP-room - Barnabus' Lair (Orobas Fjord)

I can't find any keys to open this chest
I'm not that far yet in DKS, but if that is the chest I think it is, in the bottom cave, head straight ahead to the T intersection, and then check out the bottom ledge of the grate in the wall that you are facing.
Welcome to the forum.
I never found the Wild Dwellers Leggings, but now I read in the spoilertags a few posts back these Leggings would be in the last chest of the "Fire trial" in the Temple of Doom ... !
I opened all chests, but didn't find the Leggings ...
What do they mean with : "Fire Trial"?
If it is the chest where you must walk/swim in the water to bypass the hot rocks .. O no .. I tried to reach that last chest, but every time my hero got very very fast killed !!
so I was thinking such a chest is just for "decoration" and nothing more ??
If indeed this chest contain the Wild Dwellers Leggings (???) ... in that case I better try to find all the items of the hunter Armour Set (for example).
So, is it really that chest standing on the hot rocks in the Temple of Doom that contains the Leggings of Wild Dwellers Armour Set ???
Yeah, that last chest (in the fire area, near that superfluous bridge at the end of the river) contains the Wild Dweller Leggings. To get it, you can drink a potion or cast Healing (if you have it), then hope the regeneraton outpaces the fire damage.
Also, jumping into the river instantly removes the fire status, so that's a last ditch effort.
There are two other chests in that fire area of the Temple of Doom, but they contain nothing special, and are MUCH harder to reach without dying.
Thanks for the info and tips
Now I think I sell away all the Wild Dwellers items. It's a nice bow, but I've find already other very good bows
.
Next time I play again I go later to the Temple of Doom so I have a stronger Summon Ghost, more HP and so on ... stupid I did not think about to summon my Ghost to help me healing !
).
Or, I must wait until level 15 and put a point in Healing.
You can't use Summon Ghost without enemies around, to my knowledge. I had a Summon Ghost jewelry item in ED and tried that, to no avail.
I that case it's 'worst the pity' such a chest on hot rocks contain a piece of an Armour Set
You can switch from Nightmare to Casual and back just to get to the chest. No shame in that!
Playing nightmare I want NOT hotter deadlier rocks ...
... but I want Hotter enemies and hotter NPC's
Now seriously, I didn't though set the difficulty lower make it soo much easier to reach that chest and survive, I didn't though it makes a hug difference ...
Plus I, so far, never must lower the difficulty because of an fight/battle I can't win on nightmare after more than 3 times ...
But next times I try that chest again and hope for the best healing potions ...
(and set the difficulty on casual)
To be honest I like that Temple of Doom much, but I find it very sadly this Temple is a one way trip ... after the first part with poison going to the room with the Dragon Statue I CAN'T go back & come back (later) ...
A point into healing probably won't help you cross the hot rocks because you stop moving when casting the healing spell. You need to drink a potion as soon as you enter the lava area.
I just checked and Ghosts can be summoned and will heal you in areas with no enemies around. (And then I entered an area with enemies and died because the ghost didn't seem interested in healing me, but that's beside the point.)
That's good to know
Just a side note, offtopic :
How much skillpoints in Summon Ghost you had at that time? The more point, the better Ghost's healing art and he also heals more and faster.
I really like Summon Ghost ! He saved me yesterday once again from dead !
and it's a real healing potion saver! Sometimes (mostly by a boss) I must use only 1 healing potion (of L3 or more).

The idea is to cast Healing BEFORE you move onto the rocks. Healing heals over time, just like potions (and I've had situations where potions alone didn't cut it for the lava).
That makes more sense, Lancet.
Joram, I had 10 points into Summon Ghost. When I was injured, it healed about 600 HP in 1 second, but I died because the ghost didn't heal me again. (An enemy did target it and it might have distracted the ghost, maybe.)
Ok on the sword part you said i have to complete the grave robbers where is the last person i found the girl near barnabus i found Aruther Gremory and Jack Bolton ( R. I. P. )
This was answered in the new topic you started yesterday:
The 4 explorers.
Alternately:
Grave Robbers.
Just curious, but do you guys think sets are the way to go? Are the progressive bonus sufficiently alluring to offset the fact that some pieces have not so great stat compared to the epic items you can get in the flying fortresses part of the game?
With my ranger I used the Mining Guild set from level 16 to 28 and the Orobas Bracers from 16 to 25 (these sets included in the Steam PC and North American Xbox versions), but other than that stuck to random equipment.
Once I could start using the Bow of Orobas all the other pieces of the Mining Guild set got replaced, as well, with loot I had been collecting (but until then was not good enough to break up the set).
There is a set I saw recommended for rangers early in the game, as well, but I never collected all the pieces in order to try it.

I think so. Especially once you get the Tower, and can get rid of the crappy enchantments,
and replace them with good ones.
I like doing Blood Echelon -> Aleroth Archmage -> Dragon Wizard sets.
I have, I think, sell away(the Necklage) 1 piece of my Aleroth Archmage Set, stupid me
...
But even without this Neklage it's still a good one. Especially the Belt !!
I'm wearing now (L34) the compleet Ulthrings Set (Cuirass, Leggings, Gauntlets and Helmet).
I've also the compleet Scorpion Set in my possession.
I hope the Dragon Wizard Set can suit my tast ... this is a Set in Flames of Vengeance part, isn't it serutan
Yea I finally collected scorpion and aleroth set but by the time i had the last pieces i also had ulthring set which blew them both away.
The Dragon Wizard is my favorite set I love it, & yes it's a FOV set
Sorry to butt in but I noticed that no one mentioned the famous Ulthring armour set locations. not much of a spoiler in my opinion.
Please note that to be able to loot the armour from the following you have to mindread each before you kill them.
Helmet:- Kill Kali in her flying fortress
Bracers:- Kill Xanlosch in Stone's flying fortress
Leggings:- Kill Raze in his flying fortress
Armour:- Kill Stone in his flying fortress
Locations in map below:

now that you got them all, enjoy the strongest set in Ego Draconis ;P
can someone tell me where the chest is for the aleroth archmage set hammer
It is inside Stone's flying fortress, in the Inner Passage which leads to Xanlosch and Isabelle. There is a short hallway with a chest at the end, with a statue of a demon, or something, in the main hallway pointed at the chest; opening the chest triggers a trap:
fireballs shot from the statue, which can be avoided if you open the chest standing close to either wall, rather than standing in front of the chest.
If you have not found the far end of the passage, you can look for the only anti-dragon shield in the fortress to find the near end, fly to that section of the fortress and drop down. There is a higher section of the platform you can land on to get ready for the encounter, so you are not dropping directly into a cutscene and fight (IIRC there are a couple regular opponents outside the fortified section where Xanlosch waits, though).
