Larian deactivated it on purpose for today I guess.

It would be full of poeple complaining and whining anyway. It's better to keep it deactivated for a while imo...

Seems to be working fine for me. I just had to enable it in the chat window.

I hear yeah. " If " it was turned off purposefully, perhaps that's a good thing. People's negativity can be toxic and break player immersion.

I saw a response from the Devs on a Steam forums about this same issue,

I imagine global chat with that many players would be next to useless. Much like a Twitch "chat"

Some idle banter is usually entertaining.

Also it's sometimes a better place to ask/answer questions than on the forums.

That said, I'm having crashing issues, and would like to check GC and see how others are faring.
