How quite annoying. I've just deleted about another 20hundred or so examples of the same old rubbish but unfortunately I don't have the ability to suspend problem users. I'll clear up periodically while Raze is having some hard-earned sleep but I'm in the middle of dying my hair at the moment (yes, I'm sitting here typing with my head covered in orange gunk and cling-film!)

Spam is being removed much quicker now, thank you whoever is moderating things.
However, there needs to be a more permanent solution, I have never seen a forum with this much spam.
There are literally 50 spam topics each day.

There are some forum security updates planned, but I don't know how soon they will be implemented.

You know, the worst spammers are the ones who post a spam thread every 20-30 seconds... So, if nobody spots it right away, then we end up with 40+ spam threads...

I got the rest, and another that tried to start again a minute ago.
EDIT: good response time on that last one; I tried to delete a spammer 26 seconds after they posted, but by the time I opened a new tab they were banned.

I've cleared up the latest splurge of vandalism, but I'm sure they'll be back soon.

I've disabled very many of the accounts and the email addresses vary, as do the IPs. It's quite annoying, really. Hopefully an update to the forum software will help. I'd rather see some sort of pre-emptive spammer detection than reverting to something like flood control, which is mostly ineffective and just annoys everyone.

Don't forget to click notify moderator for any spam posts. If I'm busy at work I might not have the time to constantly refresh the forum page to check for spam. However if I get an email telling me there's spam I can jump on the forum and start deleting.
