Just bought the game today, would like to play 4-player co-op with the kids (bought 2 licenses because I know it does 2-player, wanted to be sure before we buy 2 more).

I saw some threads regarding mods that allow 4-player co-op play, but there was also some confusing info about being able to do it without a mod.

Is there an officially supported 4-player co-op mode?
If so does it apply to the original campaign? If not, what does it apply to?
Thanks

The campaign itself only supports 2 players, but they say new levels created using the Divinity Engine should be able to handle 4 players.

Edit: Although apparently it's being worked on, as per this guy's mod so at least that's in the works. http://www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsin/mods/22/?

You can already play 4 player co-op main campaign with character creation via a mod, what more do you want?

For the mod support there is an own thread in the mod section incl. also 3-player variant:
