This weekend, with the added Labor Day holiday, found me with nothing to do since I'm waiting on the new companions and patch, so I started playing DA:O again. I'm completely hooked dang it.
i remember that somebody here in the Larian Forum said that new Companions will be added in a big Patch in Aug/Sept.

Every few days I start up Steam and see whether a patch tries to download. When the new companions come I'm going to play the heck out of this game; I just hope they come soon, otherwise I'll be caught up in other titles and likely never actually experience this one.

Still waiting on some actual documentation about the Divinity Engine. Videos can only do so much, especially if it has been ~2 months since the last videos were uploaded (more so since they didn't cover Main Campaign modding at all).
Ah can't wait for the patch, while I'm looking forward to playing the game past experiences has taught me to wait for patches to iron out bugs and other issues. The balance shift especially make me wait as while I can certainly see the need I prefer to plan my character and the balance being upset mid playthrough isn't a fun experience.

Honestly, I've gotten so distracted by re-playing DA:O I've forgotten about it. I'm like "fix the game whenever ... I'm good".
I finally decided to play Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. I don't know how I missed playing the BG series in their heyday, but it is brutal. I can't count the number of times I've died and had to reload, and I'm still level 1. I should probably drop the difficulty down, but I'm a glutton for punishment.
Maybe tomorrow? They just said they finished shooting footage for the kickstarter update!
All I can say is that would be a heck of a nice way to begin my weekend...
I'm expecting something posted/updated on Friday. They have been releasing content on Friday. I personally think it is a horrible idea as if content is released on a Monday, they got the work week to resolve any major bugs instead of letting them fester over a weekend.

The update was ready; it is just waiting on Steam to do something.
That would be perfect if it was released today!! This is my first weekend off in months and I can sit back and relax finally with a second play through.
I don't think they will release anything on the weekend but I hope I'm wrong.

usually GOG releases the Patches only a few hours or one day after STEAM...
Also, there is an auto-updater now for the GOG version, which should be faster than waiting for the patch.

Overall audio balance has been updated.
The burning ship in Cyseal had sound (burning & sinking) which did not work, this has been fixed now.
Player weapons such as Two Handed Sword and Magic Staff got new dedicated sounds when sheathing their weapon.
The Orcs in the game now have extra foley sounds including a huge roar, a sobbing orc and a really gross 礎uttscratchç€
For the new area, dedicated ambient sounds have been added, as well as custom sounds for a very loathsome druid and some really disgusting fx for certain pigs
MAC Specific:
This update brings all Mac tweaking options into a single place. In order to use it you have to hold 'Command' key on game startup.
The new launcher has options to:
Don't show any OS X notification popups while in game. They won't even blink.
Disable Touch Support if you feel like it

Also, I think this has been around for a while, but what is Dynamic Combat Camera supposed to do? It doesn't seem to do anything on my end.
Did the patch today solve the OS 32bit saving issue?
Well, the patch is live and good...
...but still no engraving tools for me. Maybe I should give up waiting and just play the game already. Or maybe give it one more patch.
