I really don't get how to eliminate this kind of surface structure (look at this screenshot):

Which kind of spell / spell-class is needed for them? Ice/water doesn't work.

Level 12 Air spell called Tornado.

I just used the pyramids and a character with telekinesis to get around it all.

You can also teleport around it

That is quite genious

I know the telekinese & pyramid trick, but I always wondered if there's away to eliminate that special surface. Now I know!
