So it turns out, if you get Pontius' Bloodstone before you ever talk to Evelyn, there's still no way to use the two stones to save both dying men. You can't use it on the anyone else unless it's scripted into a conversation, and if you slip the second one to Evelyn while picking her pocket, she won't recognize that she has it.

I shoulda tested that in the beta, I know.

Any chance of getting that changed in a patch, Larian? Or should this be in the mods section, so we can talk about copying a script from
the conversation where you use a bloodstone on Alfie the pack beast?

I agree. I particular since in Divine Divinity there is a similar point here you have to choose between two patients - and there you actually *can* save both (here by copying the healing stone with a special magic item).

Ayup.

Which said, somebody else noted that this game seems to be all about tragedy. So it's probably going to be mods or nothing in this case.
