you must know
1) I play the game in french.
2) I bought the game on gog.
The latest patch from yesterday on Gog has an issue:
Patch log text: Divinity - Original Sin patch log
Incorrect version of: C:\GOG Games\Divinity - Original Sin\LanguageSetup.exe

Note that the game menu reports the correct patch number and I see some of the improvements: UI scale option and TP names on the main map.

Problem:
I just freed the white witch and got no dialog text.
I could talk to her, I had the "continue" input and my character's own text, but no text from the white witch was displayed.

I do not know if it is due to:
1) playing in french
2) the latest patch
3) gog's version of the latest patch having an issue

Yet ... there is a problem.

this error seems to come up at least with french and german
it started with the latest patch

FIX FOR GERMAN:

I merged the english file with the german, using english for all missing text entries.

1. Download the file from here: https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B7YYVr6kQm2hNnlTTDRIYzlmNmc
2. Place it into your game folder, with steam it's Steam\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Data\Localization\German
