Hello all, I'm fairly new to divinity engine, and I'm having trouble properly setting up my stairs in a level I'm building.

I'm properly aligning a "05m_WoodenHouse_A_Stair_Up_A_Item_002"
to a "05m_WoodenHouse_A_Platform_E_Item_000", as shown below:

Then I'm generating an AI grid, painting the appropriate areas to connect the stairs.
The produced grid is shown below:

As you can see, the height map does not fit the stairs, but it's a little bit higher, making the character fly
when going up the stairs, as shown below:

What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

Can you try pressing ctrl-shift-e? That will show you the physics of all items as green bounding boxes. It looks like the physics of those stairs are wrong...
Thank you, your answer lead me to the right direction. The physics of the object were indeed wrong.
The keys you suggested did nothing however, perhaps I'm missing something?

I've found the option to show the physics mesh in the preview window however.
I suppose the item I was using was modeled simply as a visual, non interactable stair?
Because I've found other similar items with correct meshes.

For anyone viewing this thread and needing further explanation, I've found this to be adequate:

I'm showing the preview of the old item, and the new one, below, to make it more clear:
