I know the Wizard class has a lot of subclasses already (arcane traditions) because of the specialist Wizards. However, they are largely the same with just different bonuses basically.

The Bladesinger is part of the Forgotten Realms, so it would fit this game perfectly, and it plays very different from the other Wizard Subclasses. This would be a wonderful addition to BG3 that seems like it would fit a video game even better than it does table top. If there's any hope of adding subclasses beyond what's in the Player's Handbook, please consider the Bladesinger.

I agree the bladesinger has very cool features, but a subclass for elves and half-elves only I do not think it´s going to make the cut.

Yeah, that is problematic. If there was a companion with this subclass, that would work. There should be an option for other races to take the subclass, but if another race takes it, the name changes to swordmage.

Given the choice between not getting to play a Bladesinger or having to play it as an elf or half elf I chose the latter.

Time to cast a resurrection spell on this thread.

Is there any word from Larian in Regards to the Sword Coast Adventures Guide subclasses and spells etc getting into BG3?

I'm particularly interested in the Bladesinger as well. It is my all time favourite sub-class. I will be bitterly disappointed if it doesn't make it in.
I don't see have to play as an Elf or Half Elf as being an issue. People would have to be pretty petty to complain about it being race restricted, when it is in the game as such.

There hasn’t been any word on content outside PHB aside from githyanki. Keep the hope alive.

Thanks Warlocke. I'll do more than keep hope alive. I'll be getting early access and keep poking Larian until they commit! wink

If nothing else, Bladesinger would be a pretty easy subclass to mod on. Larian might also support BG3 after launch with content packs like they did with DOS2, so I’m sure you will eventually get to play Bladesinger one way or the other.

For the love of goodness please let bladesingers be available in this game at some point.

It is right up there with Hexblade Warlock, Swashbuckler Rouge, Divine Sorcerer and other popular sub-classes. I am sure it will get there at some point...possibly DLC.

Purely a guess but I will express interest in these classes as well.

All good options too. I'm hoping we see Bladesinger and these others sooner rather than later. As in, on release. smile

I really hope for Bladesinger too. It's such an iconic forgotten realms class.

we also need weapon cantrips.

and shadowblade spell

Very curious as to what the changes to Bladesinger will be in the upcomming Tasha's supplement. I would love Bladesinger and Hexblade for BG3. Not sure we will get them, but it would be sweet if we did.
