I'm interested to see your character! Dont forget to say what race/class!
This thread would be a lot better if it wasn't fore there being virtually no character customization in the game. All the human faces are absolutely ugly.
Loving seeing the variety here - you all are making some very good-looking chars. Those tieflings are cute as hell! And a couple very well-done longbeards...
This thread is why Larian desperately need to revise and expand the character gen as soon as possible.
You're entering Pastiche levels of crappy PC design here.
Fire it up: 10,000 almost identical drow Mary Sues, hit it.
Why do you want everybody to hate you? Why are you afraid of being loved? Who hurt you?
It's true.
Current char-gen is a crappy selection of pre-made faces and no sliders.
It's deeply crap.
If you can't admit that, go to Zhentarium enclave and check out the faces there: Literally play-do "my first RPG" starter pack in char gen pre-sets at the moment,
And of course they all made Drow + silver/purple hair if they didn't go with "comedy" hair color / tattoo / Jokefied look.
~
Predictable. Literally zero percent inspiration in this thread, depressing as the Nine Hells.
This is my Wizard High Elf! I usually play an Elf to start out, then expand to other races/classes. My friend has the opposite idea -- play the most out there races first, then go basic XD
Why are some of the posts able to show the picture and some just have link? I used the [img] tags, but I still just get a link.
The forum software isn't that intelligent and will only load images if the link ends with jpg/jpeg or png. It cant figure out things like short URLs, Imgur directories and stuff with trailing characters like validation keys, unfortunately.

Got mine to work by opening up my discord attachment (the original image), then copying the image address, which --as mentioned above-- ends in .png and therefore displays properly. Prior to that, it ended with the width and height, and I had a link in my message.
What's with this guy and his hatred for Drow? I mean, they're an integral part of the lore and popular because they're pretty cool. What is your problem? Anyway, plenty of people have posted screenshots of characters who are neither blue-skinned nor silver-haired. Case in point...
I'm running three characters at the moment. High Half-Elf Great Old One Warlock, High Elf Wizard, and finally, a Githyanki Eldritch Knight:
Incredible elf, Libertine! I want to compliment everyone, because each character looks like it could have a lot of personality and background. Just even the one above, for example, really interesting.
People are playing Drow (myself included) because - when can we -ever- play Drow? The dark skin/white hair is an awesome look we finally get to roleplay as, so we're having fun with it.
I'm seeing a ton of variety in what people are creating here, awesome. Larian's characters look good.
First playthrough character: Heraclea as a Drow cleric of Eilistraee.
😮 . . . That kind of looks like my girlfriend. I’m going to show her this picture. My grand plan is to do a co-op campaign with her and then trick her into playing tabletop with me. 😂
Unfortunately I don't like any of the tattoos available, I'd love some woad warrior war paint for my wood elf, but otherwise she looks like this right now:
I agree the tiefling appearance has been especially well worked in the game. I guess they must be the favorite race in the character design team or something
My Warlock. Voodoo practitioner, fast moving, knife wielding, poison spitting jungle girl with a tendency for deal making with scary entities. She is NOT going to grow old peacefully. One day she is going to make the wrong deal and her death will be gruesome.
Lokhir - Half-Drow Rogue; He will very likely be my main character once the game is finished. In terms of alignment he is somewhere between true neutral and neutral-good.
Vaetrian - Fiend Warlock (Pact of the Blade); Being inspired by my SWTOR Sith, he will be the character for my evil playthrough.
My Tiefling for my 2nd run. Trying to be evil this time, we'll see how it goes - I never actually completed any real evil run, ever, because I kept feeling too bad for everyone haha.
Predictable. Literally zero percent inspiration in this thread, depressing as the Nine Hells.
Well? Feel free to show us what your inspiration has conjured up.
Throwing my Tiefling in here in the meantime
Let's be honest, one's imagination has very little influence here. For now character costumization is rather lacking and posting the same 5 recolored faces with different hairstyles isn't particularly inspiring or skill consuming. I miss actual costumization we've kind of gotten used to with say DAO or DAI.
Don’t remind me of DAO character customization. I spent hours in that, not because it was great but because it was awful. That game was so butt-ugly.
Now Dragon’s Dogma- these was a character creator worth remembering.
I don't know about you but I've made many good looking PCs (mostly female though, so my insight into male character creator might be limited). It was rather frustrating however since some that looked good in CC turned out to be absolute monstrosities in-game, so patience (and rerolls) truly was the virtue and you actually deserved some bragging rights with a good screenshot

That was my experience, too. I don’t know who at BioWare thought it was a good idea to create your character in the dark, but they deserve 10,000 years of shame. I eventually made a decent looking character, but only after restarting over and over again. After playing through with an attractive elf I settled for just playing ugly characters for the rest of my time with the series. It made it so much easier when I embraced and owned playing a character with ghoulish features. 😂

I'm not saying customization isn't lacking, though the severity of it is up for debate.
It's entirely possible to create a four man party that looks unique. What we're seeing is limited because people favour Humans & Drow/Elves, there's only so much Larian can do there.
My newest high elven wizard... I have to say, I loooooooooooooove the lighting in some of the cutscenes. Also, I like her her smiley face isn't as wrinkled as my drows. Like I dunno why, some faces... could use a good slap of anti aging face cream... But I will admit, my new character suffers from the resting bitch face LMAO.
I'll admit, I wasn't going to create a Drow but Cat Badgerkin really inspired me. I had to see what all the mary sue goodness was about. Surprisingly I really do enjoy playing him.

Just curious, I noticed in my first run that my human had some REALLY BAD skin texture... Anyone else noticed the same with their characters, even if other races? :'D My girl needed to exfoliate and moisturize!

Beautiful pics. Turokk, b-a-d-a-s-s. Love it too, Dumbledorf. Vometia, nice realism w your forum avatar! Tingo, awesome GOOlock. I would say awesome to everybody.
I really dont agree with the few people saying everyone looks alike - I think every character here looks like a unique individual. So a lot of Drow have dark skin and white hair - yeah! Nicely done, all, and beautiful work Larian!
Hello, I wonder which characters have you chosen for your party (if you're playing solo ofc) and what kind of character have you created? Send screenshots!

Thank you guys for sharing your creations! I love each character of yours. I tried to reply every post you've posted but eventually got pretty tired I'm sorry! But I scrolled through every post! Thank you so much guys for replying this thread. Feel free to contact me via mail (sabrevortex1337@gmail.com) or steam (https://steamcommunity.com/id/koinshidensu/) I'd love to hear from you guys, share your characters, your stories, I can also (I hope so) help you with walkthrough OR we can play together! I also created a discord server (just now) for us to share pictures and ask questions, I'll improve the server for you soon, but you can join now https://discord.gg/neJNPP THANKS!
To be honest its not super interesting at this point when all the character creation options are so linear and limited, and all the characters in this thread, to no fault of the players, look nothing even close to how they should look for a $60 game being made in 2020.
I feel like this thread may lead to Larian thinking that their current character creation and models are fine when they are very evidently and comparatively to other similar priced games not, and a lot of improvement still needs to be made.

Are you literally smoking the crack rock? Go look at character models from ANY other isometric RPG ever made, and compare them to these. This is not a 10-hour AAA shooter or action title with barely any story, dialogue, or mechanics. You can't compare graphics across genres. Comparing to the other games in THIS subgenre, BG3's characters look fuckballs amazing.

Heartily agreed! DumbleDorf? These models look fuckballs beautiful by themselves, as I think the thread clearly shows, but ---especially--- so for this kind of game. Your dude looks awesome DumbleDorf! But why is he not a dwarf wizard?!
I get it. This isn't a super duper highly detailed character creator. You can't configure height, depth or width of anything but the detail on the faces themselves looks amazing. Compared to DA:I, the hair in this game is freaking awesome. I'm ok with how they implemented it. I don't always want something so customizable that I will spend hours or days trying to create just the right look. Also compared say BG1 and 2, Pathfinder and others like BG3, there is no comparison. I would rather have this setup with these graphics, then those I mentioned above, but to each their own.
I started messing about in character creation (my sweetie was busy and I didn't actually feel like playing solo).
I like the idea of a ranger, and I like the idea of a dryad-type look with greenish hair. So I would play with one race, then another, then randomly change sex or race and dink around some more.
Then I found a female Gith head that I did NOT like and thought "can I find a way to make her look attractive?"

I think I did pretty good:
You actually did really good! I'm not a Gith girl otherwise, but 10/10 would hit on that
Where did you get the wonderful lighting...errr maybe don't answer that as it's likely something I haven't "done" yet in game.
As far as uploading goes
I created an Imgur account, then used ... word or paint - I forget which - to edit my screenshots, uploaded them and then used the BBC code messages and forums option pasted into posts here.
Here is an example. On the left is my character Zyl Banefire, half drow Trickster Cleric of Selune; whose attention is on calculating the best way through this mess. On the right is Dierni Kismet (Kiss), who is planning the most efficient route to kill/loot and generally gain all the advantages (and treasure).
Arideya I really like your Teifling - well never having run into the race before BG3, I'm a bit excessively thrilled with them.
It is me, or does she remind anyone just a bit of Bernadette Peters?
Thank you! I am really enjoying this set up, she looks unique. I've been playing with tieflings since Icewind Dale II, when it actually allowed us planetouched races, even though they just had human models at that time. She does remind of Bernadette Peters! I think its the fluffy hair :3
Still thinking what to make of my character as I've gotten little answers so far, probably Chaotic Neutral, he's egoistic, but not egocentric or egotistic, he especially cares about fellow Tieflings, that said, if they get in his way.. His goal in getting more powerful is to gain control of more of the world, perhaps just for himself, perhaps to protect his kin, given the hatred they get, clearly the prejudice of them being seen as devil-worshipers isn't going away either way, so he might as well just do that and bring down the wrath of the hells upon the mortals who seel to defy him or his kin.
The tadpole might be another issue, not sure how he'll react to it.
The ideal endgoal being one of "being the new god of this world" - not sure how that'll turn out given d&d's power scaling...
This is my character Vhaldez. Until Druids are released, he is a human male Wizard. I enjoy having special interactions with my colleague Gale, even if he called me a bad wizard when we first met.
The more i look at all this character the more i think the male Tiefling got the short end of the stick, Female Tieflings look fierce, sometime cute, Male humans are heroic, sometime quirk, Half-elf and elfs are magical, Male tieflings look like a drag try to be, or a chad, dnd is for nerds kinda guy T^T

I'm not sure of whom you are specifically talking about. If this is about the one posted by Reynard just above, it's one of the best looking in the thread (but I'm not a fan of his choice of beard).
i think male characters generaly kind of get the shaft in terms of beeing manly. The easier way is to pick the scragglier older options. Maybe its just the body builds that make me feel like they all look effeminate
The devs thought his voice acting was so good that they moved him into EA ahead of time. His intro can be placed at any waypoint, also. It is a good thing they put all the tadpoled characters around the crash site in Act 1 as running into Gale in Baldur's Gate itself would have felt very contrived, I think.

Are we absolutely sure he even has a tadpole? He is the only one of our companions we never have a "telepathic tadpole related exchange" with.

He might not refer to it as much as his character was not supposed to show up in Act 1 to begin with. Maybe all of his tadpole related lines were added much later.
I finally got the Drow Armor for my Drow. It took a while but well worth it.
Hehe
I mean I would have shared what my character actually looks like but the current character creator is not good enough. Every time I create a character its a character I had to settle for rather than what I actually wanted.
Limited faces, limited hair, limited body, limited cosmetics. Honestly maybe one day if Larian updates... but until then she would have to cover her face.
So how ARE you people embedding images? (Some great designs so far. )
Once you have a screen shot of your character. You go to something like Imgur, an image uploader. Upload your image and then "open image in new window" to get the .png or .jpg URL. Then on the forums here you use the "image tag" in the full editor and put the URL. Boom picture.
Here is my Ellebren, what I really want to play is an Eladrin Bard, but that may not be possible for a while (if ever), so instead I made a wood elf cleric, and made him look as close as I can to an autumn eladrin. I really like how statueque he looks. I tried to make a spring eladrin as well, but the greens, although they look good in CC, are not close enough in the game itself. Still looking for cool threads and jewellery, preferably orange
Can't wait to get more head models - there's quite a few good ones, as this thread shows, but this is the first one that evoked a character idea for me. Just wish we could match the eyebrows to the hair color...
Anyway, finally settled on the Fighter class, but if we get multiclassing, she'll likely pick up a few Rogue levels. Or, more likely, she'll be re-cast as a Rogue to "cheese" the initial skill picks, then dip into Fighter. Or Ranger, for further skill cheesiness.
Plus the obligatory action shot... (sorry for the quality - had to reduce all video options to be able to play the game)
Here this is Tad, my firsct charcater. A half-elf warlock. I went for a quite monochromatic based of shades of ginger tones ^^ [and decided that as half - elf he should obviusly have "red demon" colored eyes (being a biologist I have to find a reason, in his back story, for why he has this peculiar trait )]
Here this is my Thiefling, a Beast Master Ranger. I wanted to use "elf blue" for the eyes but I was raptured by this zaphire color, somehow, from what I saw in the Druid's lair, I still landed a very peculiar and somehow "unique" character, as for the previous I have to find a way to explain why he is so pale ^^
Tieflings have so many good options because they're essentially half-demons (yes yes demons-not-demons-but-devils you know what i mean) so you just pick some sort of demonic theme and go with that.
Nice ranger gal going about her business, talking to animals & her bear companion.
Then she got abducted by Mindflayers & developed strange powers. Had her eye removed, kissed and returned, started to get very smart apruptly, can talk to the dead after going mad for a while & now gets along with people that were way out of her alignment comfort zone just a week ago...
I simply adore fem dwarves in this game. They're so bloody cute.
Oh, same! They truly are. And I'm a bit taller than them, but I'm kinda built like one, so it makes me happy to feel like a game world isn't strictly leggy fashion models from New York for once. And I LOVE your dwarven wizard. I'm so glad to not be the only one who digs the thought of bucking all trends and being a dwarven caster.
Speaking of which, here are my clerics of Selune and Mystra (since I can't yet roll the dice and follow my crazy plan to make a dwarflock with all mental stats):
And my half-drow warlock, who unlike Isildy passed her Arcana check, causing the same line to give her a very different facial expression which made me and my friend laugh for minutes on end:
And my tiefling, whom my friend told me looks like me, except "not horny enough." I have sarcastic friends.
I would also like to add that I think my tiefling's dream tadpole looks like a GOOlock dhampir son of Astarion, and I love that I want to somehow romance him while also simultaneously running screaming away into the night.
Newest character, and second attempt at a warlock. She's noble-born, intelligent, and steadfastly loyal to the royal line (in her own way). I think I managed to capture some of her aristocratic haughtiness, wry humor, and cunning. Maybe. Possibly.
She's a "Great Old One" warlock for now, but will immediately be recast as "Archfey" if and when it's avaiable. And I'm really hoping the "Skilled" feat will become available at some point - she needs Nature and/or Medicine to round her out.
And, as always, sorry for the low quality. Frankly, I'm amazed my rig can run this game at all. Hats off to the devs; it's actually gotten a lot better!
This reminds me, that we need a ZOOM functionality for the purpose of making Screens after we left the Character Generator. Because ingame i cant get a good shot on my Face. Needs allways a Cutscene, Dialog or location where camera cant go through walls and thereby i can stay very close to it.

Oooh yes! This game is beautiful and being able to enter a camera mode to take pretty pictures of our characters (and companions, for those inclined) would be awesome!
Name: Esbern Virtanen - The name means "Divine Bear", and the surname "River". If taken literally, the meaning is: "Divine Bear of River", but Esbern himself likes to explain it like this: "The Divine Bear overcomes river's stormy stream".
Age: 23 - By half-elven standards, Esbern has come of age, but even for ordinary people he is still young and naive. For true elves he is still a child.
Features and preferences: - Loves to read, every new book must be read;
- Is fond for dark magic, but never uses it for bad purposes;
- He is not ashamed of his race, but because of being born in Baldur's Gate he feels different from others, so he hides the sharp tips of his ears behind his hair, thus "becoming" an ordinary person;
- His name was given by his mother, as a tribute to nature and respect for Wood Elves, so that Es will always remember where his roots come from;
- Poorly versed in nature and survival, which is a real paradox;
- But in history and magic, he is better than many;
- Agilious, he is especially good at hiding;
- Not strong, but this compensated by his incredible charisma;
- Good at conversations. Doesn't intimidate, but convinces or deceives;
- Unfortunately, he is bad in insighting and attention, and therefore believes everyone;
- He is gullible, but not stupid, these are two different things. He tries to see good in people and wants to help in any way he can, but you shouldn't consider him as a fool. He is capable of quick inferences;
- Likes to play pranks and joke, sometimes behaves just like a child;
- Respects each person choice, without trying to teach life and morality. However, if he sees that the choice affects destructively, he will act;
- Has nothing against using the powers of the tadpoles, 'cos it helps in their path and does no harm at the moment;
- Good listener. Doesn't consider himself as a leader and perceives his party exclusively as friends. He wants to be followed because they trust him, not because there is no other choice;
- Can talk with animals and adores them with all of his soul;
- Thinks of himself least;
- Sincere in everything he does;
- He can use dark magic, but he began to study necromancy quite recently, that’s why still poorly understands it and often confuses spells. This leads to funny but not dangerous situations.
Character story: Esbern was born and raised in Baldur's Gate. His father met a beautiful wood elf in one of his trade travels and persuaded her to leave in the big city. As a result of their union, little Es was born.
From a young age, the boy was drawn to magic, showing interest in any kind of it. Including the "dark" one. Despite other people's prohibitions and instructions, boy sincerely didn't understand how one magic differs from another, if it is used correctly and does not harm anyone. So, in secret from everyone, Esbern began to learn the dangerous magic.
While boy was growing up, he continued to help his father in trade, and spent his free time in local bookstores. Having reached the age of majority, Esbern realized that he couldn't continue to stay in his native places: he was drawn to knowledge. It was too dangerous to practice dark magic in Baldur's Gate, and he wanted to learn the necromancy. At the age of twenty-two, he left his father's house, going for the first time on a solo journey in order to find a teacher and learn ‘the magic of the dead.’
Unfortunately, he was unable to advance far due to unexpected attack of the illithids who captured him on their ship. So thats how Esbern's story began.
Main goals: Get rid of tadpoles; help friends; prove that dark magic can be used for good; learn necromancy.
His life quote is the words of his mother: ‘Remember, Esbern, now you are just a little bear cub for whom the rapid streams of life are too exciting and dangerous, but one day you will become a strong bear, able to overcome even the most powerful river flow. Remember, my little boy, no matter what difficulties you face, determination and desire to achieve your goal will help you reach the very end.’
And then, Opulancio Opulance, my evil and snob halfling warlock for the lulz!
... Your elf is strikingly similar to my dream-dude for my first character. Near identical.
... ... I did however make the dream-thing a female one for my second play-through. I could not stand that purple/pink-ish robe (or jewelry for that matter) on a male character - it was way too easy to reject him. x'D
If we get more character customization into BG3 in the future (eg: face feature sliders instead of just pre-made faces, and armor/weapon customization), then I'd bother with a personalized character to enjoy and share. But until then, characters of a certain race and pre-made face all start to look the same. Meh.
Here's the character for my second "normal" playthrough that I've started. He's a Githyanki Ranger, which is a bit of an odd combination, but I like it so far. I don't think that armor suits him or his look at all, but I'm using it because it's the best AC for now.
Shame its only that horrible starting "leather armor".
I just checked the male faces for most races and... boy, those are some uuuugly knobbers. The halflings have been especially mutilated. Their bodies are all stilted and deformed and their heads are definitely too big for their sizes. Im sure people with similar conditions may appreciate playing as that body type, but, those are not halflings at all. And the faces for both males and females are really simplistic, with barely one decent face for each.
There have been three ladies so far taking on this corner of the Sword Coast. In chronological order:
Freyja, Shield dwarf wizard. It was so exciting, and bloody confusing, trying to figure out all the game's kinks while having the fortitude of papier-mâché, and she did missed out on a lot of fun stuff, like murdering a whole village of Kuo-toa.
Esmeray, Drow cleric of Lolth (life domain). I love this lady to bits! Oh, that blood eye stare just before she skewers them on her rapier! And the looks on people's faces when a Drow shows up to kick ass. Plus her jaw-droppingly gorgeous looks! Absolutely loved every second I got to spend with her.
Nazmiyya, Zariel tiefling battlemaster. Just a Baldurian girl with a polearm here to whoop some ass and being so unbelievably horny for Gale that she T-posed through all of his romantic scenes. It was hilarious!
I'm really itching to get back in and do another playthrough! Maybe a ranger, try that class out.
Edit: oh, but for fuck's sake! What am I doing wrong?! Why won't the images show?!
2nd edit: YAY! Fucking finally! After only 6 or so different attempts
...Uh the neck on that last image is terrifyingly long.
ROFL, ya I was wondering if someone would say that. The models really need tweaked a bit for sure, I'm fairly positive there are threads about that already though.
Going to guess you like the color green, also those gnome heads : /
Yes Green suits Rangers. I do like green and i love Halfling, Gnome and Dwarven characters. I pretty much only play small races. Kinda wish for goblin characters.
According to the D&D lore Gnomes have outlandish hair colors and messy hair. And i think they look great for a mod.
New patch, new character. Drow ranger, her name is Mev:
Ah! Excellent, and that's apparently her half-drow cousin, Miv:
Ok, I snorted. Mev and Miv surely share the same parent. But seriously - cool half-drow. It's amazing that we had the same taste when it comes to appearance and even names.
I must say freeing Lae'zel was super easy and I like her. A bit hard since I am so called good alignment but neither in real life I am some leftist in political views.
I understand Lae'zel... She is worried about you know the main story problem. She looks down on the weak and for her action and skills in combat (melee, ranged or spells whatever) matters. She does not have high charisma and in behavior is thus not very charming one. She does not have leftist view everyone should be equal. Many Gityanki worship Tiamant or some other evil deity. Gityanki society is little bit like past Vikings the weak should be raided and pillaged. Her alignment is Evil, but despite that I want her as ally.
Oh and any debate Shadowheart vs Lae'zel in looks I will not go into I think both women are beautiful enough. Lae'zel is a bit more exotic while Shadowheart is looking traditionally beautiful.
Since I got the Custom Character ENhancer to work, I made a new Tiefling with my favorite hair, which was unavailable before for that race - she is a warlock, sworn to the Great Old One (Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fthagn):

Eh, what can I say? Great minds think alike. Or maybe it's just destiny!
The mood was a bit different here, though (spoiler, maybe?)
Eh, what can I say? Great minds think alike. Or maybe it's just destiny!
Absolutely awesome. Your screenshots are pure joy. BTW do you know that we even have a similar alignment? Yours is chaotic neutral, while mine is true neutral. Corvyyn - high five.

That's brilliant. But wait, did you just guessed it, or...? In any case, neutrality FTW; why siding with anything when there's a whole world of possibilities around us?

Nah, I just used my tadpole. My roll check was successful. But
alignment is in our profiles, I just checked hehe
And because I don't want ass whoppin' from mods I share one more screenshot:

Of course you did, I forgot we had those. Great investigation check then! (love your screenshot btw, so romantic. I'm sure that's what love at first sight looks like)
And to apologise for the spam, here's a screenshot of Miv and the Swamp Gang's next album cover. Hopefully, it'll be a.... critical hit:
LMAO, thank you for the laugh, I needed that. I was going for the Spiderman meme, but this is just better, I love it. I love how appropriate their expressions are - especially Astarion who seems to be enjoying what he sees, and Lae'zel who's just full of despair. It's so fitting. Now I have to see this in game!
(and just so I stay relevant, here's my baddie, Aya, who happens to also be Miv's dream lady and a distant cousin of Karlach apparently):
Here he is my new Tav (again I forgot to give a namen to my toon):
If my first character was pratically asexual, this Drow fella has completely fall for Laez'el. It was love at first sight. What a pity that his actions aren't succesfull in make him closer to the proud warrior. Maybe if he understand that to make erratic choices and to lack coherence is not helpful things will change and love will blossom.
Meanwhile he has some work to do, he would do it peacefully but if he have to erase all the goblins and allies in his road he will do so.
It doesn't add anything new to the game, but makes hairstyles available for more races. For example the elf ones for Tieflings and Shadowhearts for all races and so on. I don#t want to mod the game too heavily because EA and patches, but I figured, that this one doesn't change too much and so far it works fine. It works with the Steam version and pc.
My Bugbear Fighter! Backstory is he's a mercenary from Baldur's Gate who figured out he could earn more gold and glory as a sellsword than he ever could with his tribe raiding and pillaging. After a few years of of hard work and persistence in the face of mistrust among the locals, he eventually earned a reputation as a reliable mercenary. He had a small crew of mercenaries he was running by the time the Mindflayers attacked.
Using the playable Goblins mod in these screenshots.
Edit: I can't seem to get the actual pictures to display, sorry
My third run. Enter Corelia Diodato [The surname means Given by God, or Given to God, a name that in middle ages was bested upon orphans]. She is one of the two fraternal twins have by my Tav Drow (The green hair and the facial marks are hereditary, his brother too has the same marks and same color of hair). She's a cleric, trickster domain, devoted to Eilistraee [a choice made in contrast to the faith of her known only by name father].
And here it is Corelius Ventura (the surname again has origin in the names bested, in the middle ages, to orphans), the twin of Corelia. For the most part he has inherited the wood elves traits except for the hairs, the marks, and the demonic eyes. While his sister has found in Eilistraee a way to depart from her Drow ancestry and don't delve in her violent nature, Corelius has followed the opposite road from a kind and naive half elf to a warlock bind to a Great old one, a man who thinks only about his own wellness.
Ok, I'm lost in character creation, but I think, I might settle on a high elf rogue for my next playthrough (I'll keep the other characters though, I have more playthroughs planned). I think, the proportions of the halflings are somewhat wrong (I know, tehre is a whole thread dedicated to it - and I totalyl agree with what is said there), so I decided to remake my rogue. This is Miya Soral
hii, first post here, cheers :)) put in about 90ish hours between my playthroughs. these were my two favs. tried to make characters that felt royal.
(in my head they're half siblings lmao)
Dione. Human. Paladin of Selune. Boo'd up with Gale. I wanted her to juxtapose Shadowheart, then I watched Atlantis and got inspired by Kida; added a dash of Cinderella for extra swoon.
Caelum. Wood Half-elf. Bard. Shadowheart boi (only bc I apparently don't meet Astarions standards even after letting him suck the soul out of my neck). Not really inspired by anything, just thought he looked dreamy.
-- sidenote, so happy i got gale's romance to trigger!!
Honestly the character creator is ruining me for other RPGS. It's just so good. Even if I'm fiddling around just trying out a build I always end up spending a good 15 minutes in there and then at least another 5-10 on the Object of Affection.

Agreed, i've convinced a lot of people on discord to buy the game based off of the player character models alone (you're welcome larian :3) only complaint is it needs more options, but this is Early Access so understandable. This is probably the first game I ever wanted to play a elf or half elf in because it is the only one where elves aren't ugly lol. My current Half-High Elf. I've always loved and preferred elves to humans, but no game ever convinced me to play one as they often made them look so weird, and we humans are naturally gravitated towards groups that look more like us, and I think Larian understands that. Kudos to Larian for finally getting me to play elves over humans lol

I still have a bit to go with my rogue, but I started a new playthrough - and this has two premieres for me: I play a human and a fighter. I never play fighter class normally and if tehre are otehr races available, I seldom play human (did it in the Dragon Age games a few times). But I wanted to try Eldtritch Knight - so far, the fighter isn't as boring as I thought. It's nice that for a change, nearly no one is able to hit you.
This is Ziyal (and yes, I'm a big Deep Space Nine fan and I named her after Dukats daughter, who luckily came after her mother).
I made another character - I was just playing around with the CC a bit, but then I ended up with this cute halfling lady and decided to play with her parallel to my fighter playthrough. I know, I said that I don't like the animation of the halflings atm and I do hope, that will be fixed (for example when meeting Gale, all you see of my lady is grass - she is not that small). This is Sigrun, halfling ranger:
I was experimenting again and came up with a Githyanki wizard. I love, that she can wear armor and wield swords, if someone comes too close for comfort. I really like this lady, she looks tough and nice at the same time. This is Liral (I used a Githyanki name generator, since I don't know that much about this race)
The only downside is, that I didn't make her a thief substitute, like I normally do with all characters, so I have to drag Astarion along - not a huge fan of him. I will try the Gale romance with her, hopefully the weave scene isn't bugged this time.
Here's my tiefling Nymeia, Nym for short! I have her as a warlock for now but will be switching her to bard when given the chance. She's cheeky and I love her. If I could I'd have black sclera with these eyes but alas (the glowing eyes doesn't have the depth I'm looking for).
I've made a few different characters. The first is my half-drow ranger who I love and adore, thereby earning him the name Tav. He's a bounty hunter who acts both gruff and greedy, but he's a total softie on the inside. The second is a goolock named Zadok. I might make him a bard when the class becomes available, haven't decided yet. Very soft spoken withdrawn fellow who tends to remain neutral in most situations, although he gets a bit sassy when his companions do/say something especially dumb. Gave him the hermit background to fit the lovecraftian theme a bit more, although nothing in this game really screams lovecraft so far despite the overabundance of tentacle monsters.
Edit: Cheers, dexai.
Tav
Zadok
Characters I've been messing around with but haven't settled on a personality/backstory for yet:
Nym looks fantastic! How long did it take you to create her?

You can't link images from your computer or host them on the forum, you have to upload them on an image hosting site first (like imgur for example) and link them from there.
@azuremanure Thank you! Not too long but she has gone through a few variants because I couldn't settle on hair style/color.
@Dexai Yeah, I forget what it's called but it's easy to find on the nexus, I just remember that his has black outfits in the title. I actually don't mind the starting armor for warlock but I'm not a fan of that disadvantage on stealth checks it has.
My current playthrough is a drow rogue named Raven - rogues are really fun in this game and since I don't like Astarion, playing a rogue myself isn't the worst idea. Raven is Seldarine btw and despises her Lolth worshipping sisters and brothers. She isn't very thrilled, that drow are helping in the Absolute crap too. She never fogoes the chance for a witty one liner and when deception helps her, she uses it - Shadowheart loves her because of that.
every female characters comes with a pony tail!!:)
I need more ponytails, please. And classic braids. I would suggest looking at the amazing hairstyles of Guild Wars II for inspo, there was a French braid that was to die for.
My next playthrough - Miya Soral, Mephistopheles Tiefling wizard - I like the Faust story (both from Goethe and the medieval story), so I wanted of course my Tiefling be a from the Mephistopheles line. I might try the Astarion romance with her, even though I'm not a fan of that companion. But he has a lot of fans, so I thought, I see, what all the fuss is about.

You should always check the health of any potential partner's teeth before getting involved with them, and Astarion's mouth is in excellent shape for a 200+ year old dude. Excellent choice.

Well, I'm not that excited - as I said, I'm not a fan of Astarion. My goto romance normally is Shadowheart, first was Wyll and with my githyanki Gale. The problem with Wyll and Gale is, that you have competition in form of a cambion and a goddess. SHadowhearts romance is quite sweet for such a queen of thorns. Astarion gets a bit on my nerves 'ooohhh - look, I'm a brooding vampire and I'm eeeviiil' . He has some funny lines sometimes though. And you can punch him a lot

You can also "leave wordlessly" whenever he spazzes out and he will react -- the other companions don't do that.
Astarion is half brooding revenge-fueled chaotic rogue and half gossipy grandmother. And who doesn't love a gossipy auntie with a grudge? Wyll has a lot of potential, but after hearing Myzora's datamined voicelines I think I like her better than him, she sounds super-fun, cunning and down-to-earth. Gale's romantic path gets on my nerves because of the way it's framed -- the man is clearly infatuated with a goddess and unlike Wyll is not very honest about how that is more dangerous for the party than the ticking time bomb he carries, and unlike Astarion he's not even honest about his dishonesty. However, the thing that turned me down the most was his holier-than-thou speech after Mayrina's quest.
His voice actor is excellent though; all of them are.

The voice actors are pretty good. I must say, I like Gales friendship path - he is great as your big , sometimes lecturing, brother. My hopes are with Karlach, the short dialogues with her gives me hope, tha tshe will be a companion after my heart. And according to datamining she sings - and wit ha really nice voice. So we get our singing Tiefling companion after all (I would love Alfira as a companion, but I don't think, that will happen). Another great character is Abdirak - he would have so much potential as a companion or camp follower. Since he has a unique model, I hope, we haven't seen the last of him.

Here's to Abdirak as a camp companion (campanion?) reminding you that pain and failure are part of life, with a kinky twist.

Well of the two, the spider is the more friendly companion.
Just sayin'
You know, for a beast master ranger, that spider is truly awesome. But ugh. That thing is too creepy. I hate spiders.
And no, that spider is not friendly or is definitely pretending to be friendly. There's WAY too many accidental deaths from the spider jumping and landing on my characters or others. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Yeah, death by spider summoning is a thing.
I don't like spiders either, but surprisingly enough, I like the spider matriarch and her babies, maybe because they are blue and red, more colorful. And the babies are just cute.

The matriarch does have good coloring. I have lots of complaints about BG3 but art design is not it.
So yeah, the matriarch is pretty awesome and then I zoom in and then I realize it’s grotesque and I must squish it knowing I’ve been bamboozled by it’s mesmerizing colors.
New to this forum. How do you get images to show up rather than links?
It is unreasonably difficult. If you copy the image address rather than the image itself, that sometimes works. Otherwise, the links to your images work so people can see what you link to.

It needs to end with a picture file .code thingy. So in the case of yours BlkPhnx it would be .jpg. However the reddit upload host seem to not like that and it doesn't show without all that nonsense code that goes after the .jpg in your link. Try using another image host, like imgur for example, and link them from there. Anyway, here's Mattis, surly hermit hobbit druid:
He woke up on a spaceship in the middle of hell this morning and that was just the start of his bad day, so he is in an even less good mood than usual.
Having realised he was better protected getting naked and using a scroll of Mage Armour than in his robes, he braves the aberrant ship in nothing buthis knickers and chest hair, still angry and suspicious of everything:
And dammit if that doesn't piss him off! That was his favourite robe! Oh well. It was probably ruined from being all soaked in illithid pod fluid anyway. Godsdamned space squids.
He comes from a dwarf clan that focused on raising goats and dairy cows and creating delicious milks, meats, and cheeses that were well loved far and wide. Though he dedicated himself to a local druid circle he used his abilities to better help his family and their ranches and became a celebrated cheesemaker! As with any artist however his craft was limited by what paints he had access to. or in his case... Milks. So he set off on an adventure to find new and interesting creatures from which he could potentially create a new cheese and revolutionize the culinary world!

My suggestion would be using myconids. Hallucinogenic cheese! (I mean, it would be not that far off from real life cheese production...)
Anyway, joining the druid team with my drow. Admittedly, she is only a drow because I wanted to see their fabled dialogue options (seems like they get more than other races), but it does kind of fit with the land circle: underdark.

@Sadurian and @BlkPhnx, here is what I do to have images showing up.
Step 2: grab the link generated by imgur and paste it in the editor "use full Editor" found a the bottom of the post when you edit and then click image:
For @Sadurian Step 3: with the editor, once you press ok, you will have the link here, but you need to manually "edit" the link and add i. as well as adding .png like this: ////[img]https://i.imgur.com/jHyeQrg.png[/img]
Is there a way where the forum can do that for us instead ?
I was pleased to find that I could create a character that looks something like Prince Nuada from Hellboy 2. I haven't been able to really play the game because I'm still organizing play times for multiplayer sessions.
Tieflings so pretty, too bad their racials are trash and you gimp yourself for wanting to play them.
I really want to play as a half-orc. I can't pick barbarian, not because it doesn't exist but because I already know someone who plays that kind of character.
nice, what face number is that ? and if it's a mod, which one is it ?
I can't remember what face number I'm using, I know it's one of the base human ones coupled with a complexion mod. Here's the modlist used in the screenshot:
She could be a sister of my new character - Lyra Belaqua, rogue (and yes, I named her after the character from 'His Dark Materials' - love the books)
Sisters caught up in Illithid shenanigans!
Her face looks adorable whether she's frowning, or angry, or being skeptical etc
But, her happy smile is a little weird, gotta warn ya ...
Here, she's clapping after the bard has given her performance.
I hope the weird happy smile gets fixed. But otherwise, she looks adorable in every facial expression.
Yeah, I already figured her weird smile out. I don't think, that was intended, but otehrwise, she is just plain cute. You have the same group as me atm btw (Lae'zel, SH, Gale).

This is my favorite pic of her so far:
Yeah she has such an innocent-looking resting face.
I have Shadowheart in my group most of the time, even though it's not optimal to have both Druid and Cleric in such a small team size. But I like having her around.
But back to our characters, I think she looks sweet when seen slightly from the side too:

I really love this character - and I often overlooked that face in CC, but it animates so well (apart from the smiles)
It is safe to install mods? Iwould like to change a little the outfit of my toons (as I said before I lode how Dos 2 adapt armors to the style of the character that is wearing it, this feature is outstanding specially when Fane use the shapeshift mask).
Moreover if it's safe to install them there are mods for male characters and armor styles? Thanks in advance!

I had mods installed and then patch 4 came and I had to reinstall the whole game. There are tons of mods out there (look at Nexus Mods), but since it is EA, it can potentially mess with your install.
Here we are, going on and on about her, but I don't think her face is popular with the rest of the players at all.
There is one user at least, who likes that face too, BeeBee. Her character pics made me try this one out.
On that last pic you shared, It's funny that your character is making this weird face just when everyone "approves"
BTW, That's another awesome characters of you. My first character - battlemaster - would have been a sister or cousin and I would have taken your rogue in my party anytime !

Thank you, but the one you linked, is actually the character of Passerby.

Yeah, you were replying to fylimar, but the character you referenced is mine. I don't blame you for the mistake, though, as they're so alike only their mother can tell them apart.
As for the screen shot, my character was feeding the owlbear cub, that's why you see Wyll, Gale and Shadowheart approving while Lae'zel disapproved. And because the owlbear cub snatched the food so aggressively, my character was almost bitten, hence the funny face.
@Passerby and @fylimar, LOL, too much cut & paste, but yeah, I have another sister for this war party. Imagine triplets ... the goblins are going to regret this !

Yay, another one - share a pic, if you have one
I had to reload an old from path 2 - 52G download, imagine that.
But there you, meet Arya Starlights - battler master and proud sister to "Lyra Belaqua, rogue" and the marvellous "unnamed land druid"
The fire of passion, by shadow of light !
Coming from path 2, can we agree that I am the oldest sister ?
On the subject of armour... can we obtain something similar to what Aradin wears in EA? The breastplate/leather combo? Probably the best looking one i've seen in the game thus far.
Were in the files can I find the screenshots? There is no folder named "screenshots" that I can find. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've tried Print Screen and F12. Well Shift + F12, Airplane mode and F12 share a key.

She looks great too. Alright, you are the oldest sister. I didn't even play, when patch 2 was the newest.

If you're using steam go to the game's page in your library, there should be a 'screenshots' section to the right hand side of the screen, below the play button.
Click 'manage my screenshots' to show your media gallery, click 'show on disk' in the window it brings up to view the disk location.

For some reason I didn't have any screenshots there. I suspect that's because F12 and Airplane Mode share a key on my laptop. I was using the SHIFT+ AIRPLANE MODE/ F12, but that wasn't working. The page you directed me to allowed me to change my screenshot key. Works fine now, thank you. I'll post a few tomorrow.
That's true, you have to sign up to see pics on pinterest. You can see the character pic as a smaller preview, but if you want to see the real picture, you have to be logged in.
Lyra got herself the drow armor. I made a quick trip to the Underdark for it, after I hade defeated the spiders in the Whispering Depths. Managed to mostly avoid the bulette. I was contemplating to kill it, while down there, so that my later trips there wouldn't be interrupted, but it is always so tedious, since it mostly vanishes after one or two turns.
Caleb after my grandson, Silvereyes after an elven family name in Solasta. Duel Wielding axes Hunter Ranger. Colossus Slayer, Beast Tamer, Keeper of the Veil, Mercenary Veteran. Going to take Elven Accuracy: Dexterity and the Duel Wield feats. Inspired by Wolfheartfps.
Thanks , you get it in a little cave in teh Underdark, near the arcane tower. But beware, on the way tehre, the bulette always appears. I used Misty Step to go to the cave entrance without getting attacked.

That drow amour looks nice. But it look nicer & great on your character !

I know, I know; he's a human and that's boring. He still is special to me since he is a fairly accurate recreation of my D&D character, Jodrun.
Jodrun was once a captain of the Neverwinter militia, falling into a deep depression after being betrayed by who he thought was a close friend (he loved his drink for a long while). Years later, he became a mercenary and after getting back on his feet, he went off to Chult to uncover the source of the Death Curse. After weeks of traveling through the jungles and by what might only be described as fate, ran into his betrayer. His enemy, Karlisus, sought to steal the Ring of Winter and use it in the name of Bhaal! After Jodrun and his allies fought Karlisus and his entourage of Frost Giants, Jodrun beheaded Karlisus; vengeance fulfilled. With knowledge of Bhaal's agents lurking around Baldur's Gate, Jodrun traveled back to the Sword Coast to end those who wronged him so many years ago and prevent another massacre from happening again. Alas, he was taken by Mind Flayers and infected with an illithid tadpole not long after arriving at the city. Now, he joins another band of misfits to find his way back to the city, with a few more goals added to his list!
Hello! This is my first post on these forums but I wanted to share my character
She's a high sun elf rogue (or bard? Rogue/bard multiclass? We'll see when Larian releases the bard class) named Anya (real name is Yavanna, but she'd rather not use it in case someone uses it to track her down). Born into poverty and adopted into nobility, Anya was forcibly married to a noble high elf in Baldur's Gate after the death of her mother. Ten years prior to the start of the game, Anya escaped her marriage and fled Baldur's Gate after a group of bandits attacked her and her husband's carriage. She was on her own and learning rogue tricks, until she had a tadpole forcibly put into her brain.
She's chaotic neutral and romances Astarion--they both had their fair share of abusive masters and bond over it.
I know, I know; he's a human and that's boring. He still is special to me since he is a fairly accurate recreation of my D&D character, Jodrun.

Lol
I like my elves and half-elves too, but it gets a bit old when you see them over and over again. That said, Jodrun likely will be the only human in my eventual roster of recreated D&D characters (the others are a half-elf, Goliath, Dwarf, Dragonborn, and tiefling).

I love playing humans because well, I am one and humanity has plenty of diversity without adding pointed ears or horns.
But sadly I may be a roleplayer but I also like to powergame a bit. And human stat bonuses leave me wanting.

Join the tiefling club ;(.
Anyone but elves and shield dwarves feels so gimped. 2 DEX is so versatile for all classes, built in perception proficiency, immune to magic sleep and resistant to charm saving throws, on top of a bunch of weapon proficiencies, an extra stat of choice, and darkvision to boot. Extra bonus for wood elves who get a whopping stealth proficiency and 1.5m on top.
I want to play my tiefling so badly, but the racials are so terrible and the lame ass level up spells using either dexterity or charisma for saves/cast ability basically pigeonhole the race into a charisma class or burst, and even there they are inferior to half elves.
Also, is there a reason green hair color is not a standard choice for wood elves? The wood skin tone with Green 6 hair option seems so natural for a wood elf to have.... do wood elves in forgotten realms also don't develop stag horns as a customization ala Warhammer with Orion?
By the way, has anyone noticed any wood elf specific dialogue? Or is it just for Drow and Tieflings thus far?

I haven't seen any wood elf or high elf dialogue options. I saw a few general elf dialogue options but not very many.
A pity, because for my next playthrough after doing 2 Tiefling druid playthroughs I was debating testing Drow vs. Wood Elf, but it seems like Drow would provide more options. Which seems strange considering the Grove is made of mostly wood elves, as is Daddy Halsin.
Drow
Vs.
Wood Elf
So many choices, but I still prefer my Mephistopheles Tiefling druid with the nocturnal theme; too bad Tiefling racials are so atrocious. You're like a gimped Drow without the elf weapon proficiencies, immunity to magic sleep/resistance to charm, no Perception proficiency bonus, a useless +2 charisma instead of a +2 Dex, which is useful to all classes instead of just charisma classes. All for a mediocre fire resistance racial that has been completely unimportant and it's really easy to find fire resistance potions that make that resistance redundant. Even the level up Tiefling spells are inferior to what Drow get.
Tiefling is so pretty, why are their racials so bad
Also, is there a reason green hair color is not a standard choice for wood elves? The wood skin tone with Green 6 hair option seems so natural for a wood elf to have....
Yes, yes they do. My druid: (I wish they would fix the many hair clipping issues with pointy ears!)

My tiefling warlock, a first for me on both accounts. A shame they got rid of that hair option since they have so few for them already.

Ya, what I mean is that you have to unlock the racial hair colors to make the green color available, because in the default wood elf hair color palette, green is not an option, so I was wondering if it's confirmed in lore that wood elves are not meant to have green hair. Just like how I love the demonic yellow eye color on my drow but know perfectly well it's an off-lore option.
I think the only wood elf dialogue I saw in youtube was Minthara being an asshole to a wood elf and calling you a grotesque form and calling you a faerie that needs to obey. I can't find anything else.
But I wish so hard upon a star that they improve Tiefling and human racials by release ;(. I really love my Tiefling druid, looks super unique.
It would also be great if they fixed tattoo colors for darker skin colors, because since darker colors don't register well on a darker-skinned drow, but the lighter tattoos look so awful and plastic on their dark skin.

I was saying "yes they do" to mean that I agreed that wood skin tone and green 6 hair seemed natural for wood elves. That's why I used exactly that for my character, despite green hair not being an official racial hair option (without unlocking it).
I figured she either dyed her hair or had ancestry of some type of green-haired humanoid (dryad perhaps?). I feel like you can justify some off-lore physical traits as a remote anscestor's recessive gene rarely showing up in your family tree until you. Maybe your drow had a demonic anscestor a long time ago, but the family kept it quiet (or it's fallen out of memory).
I found a couple different sites about D&D races, but they had conflicing information (some said green hair, some didn't) and I don't know D&D well enough to judge what's reliable.
Newest character: halfling warlock. Not much of a backstory, I simply wanted a character to try out the dream sequences. She is nicknamed Daisy because of her hair, which turned white after whatever terrible deal she made with her patron. Daisy has been spamming the tadpole powers so often she probably has a total of 3 brain cells left by now. Good thing warlocks don't need much intelligence or wisdom.
I have to admit I didn't expect just how funny and cute halfling PCs look. I'm actually considering running a halfling sorceress for main character once the full game is out.

I was pleasantly suprised as well! I decided to try them out the other night when making a ranger. I really like that face specifically, so I hope someone mods it to humans. I thought it was interesting to see things from their shorter perspective, and I liked how the character eyes reflect the height difference during dialogue.
I like this armor - not as much as teh drow, but still. But I do hope, we get more armor variants, once the game is fully released.
I like it since it gives the best AC, or I'd be wearing the drow one too. But the base leather armour is the ugliest and I always try to upgrade to the beige drow one as soon as I have access to Waukeen's Rest.

That side-eye when she is loooking up to someone is my favourite. Like a detective from one of those TV crime shows.
Apart from Lyra Belaqua - that specific half elf preset, I really love tieflings - all faces are so unique and nice, but this one is my favorite - this is Lyara, tiefling warlock:

Yeah this face is the only one I like for the tieflings. The problem with tieflings as your main character though, is that you'll find at least a few doppelgangers in the druid grove, whereas our half-elf preset is almost never used by the game's NPCs, which adds to her uniqueness.

I must say, I like all female tiefling faces, they all look nice, but this one is my favorite. You are right about the doppelganger in the Grove and what is worse, they can use hair, your character can't use without mods (the lady in my profile was made with a hair for all mod, so she could use a hairstyle, that is normally unavailable).
A lot of great characters here, you all made excellent characters, now I would like to create more than one custom character. Well, here is mine.
He is a half elf warlock that saved the tieflings from the goblins, beloved by his companions, especially Shadowheart. The new hero, he has defeated countless of monsters, and saved many lives.
Now I created his younger brother Allaron, I will probably use him on my second playthrough if I manage to make a team of custom characters.
So, I'm using mods again. And now I can play a wood elf, that looks like my favorite half elf, but with cooler hair - and shiny new armor. Her name is Mira and she is a rogue.

Hmm ... not a bad idea, using her preset for the elves.

I think she looks more elfy than some of the actual elf presets.
Hollow, I'm super jealous of your art ability. But I'm too old and uncool to find anyone who knows something about that to make him think I'm worth teaching it. I know you've got secrets.
This is by far the best character face & dress I've seen so far !!!
Are you welling to share all the mods you used to create your character - pretty please !
Also, I noticed the "black bow" is that a mod or something I missed ? I don't mind if its a 1D4 or 1D1 .. I want it !
thanks !
Thank you.
I haven't used many mods: The Customizer (for being able to have a wider variety of faces and hair), Extra Hair Slot, A Basquet full of Equipment (the nude free edition, I hate skimpy armor) and the Patch 4 fixer (it's still listed under Patch 3) and Improved UI to make it work. You find them all on Nexus Mod. I used Baldurs Gate 3 Mod Manager to install them, that worked well.
My Tav Warlock -- she has an impish disposition and likes to mess with people, thinks Gale is a bit full of himself, is annoyed with Wyll for not being upfront about his patron (because she is proud to be a Warlock), and gets along well with Lazeal and Asterion. For my morally grey play-though.
It was really when his hair starting falling out that he turned to the Tyrant Lord for meaning. His bitterness and insecurity has consumed him, and now he wishes to dominate all life on Faerun and bring the true freedom of Bane.
This is my BG 3 character during character creation, named "Wolfhart von Spira", a human fighter with noble background and stylish undercut/sidecut together with his imaginary dream (human) woman. They would have been a really lovely couple together, but as it seems, this created significant other for your character will never be a real npc, just some Illithid illusion... *cry*
Here as lvl 4 Eldritch Knight (I should have taken the Battlemaster route actually, but I can live with this decision)
By the way Larian, there is a minor mistake in the German translation of the game. "Weiterziehen" (move on in English) is a compositum verb and is to be written together as one word.

Lol, the similarity was not intended. Even the shirt design under his armour is similiar. Good find! *thumbs up* Otherwise with that worm in your brain, the Alien analogy is quite justified. But Fassbender in Alien hasn't got such a cool sidecut/undercut.
I made a new character, a halfelf warlock. I used a mod for her face this time - I think, the face is based on Shadowhearts, but I made sure, that she looks different enough from SH. I don't like her as much as 'our' halfelf (my profile pic), but she came out quite nice.
Have to admit some of these modded outfits I'm seeing in user pictures are looking mighty fine. Fairly curious to see what the community will eventually come up with after release.
I tried out the bard mod on Nexus - so far, it works great. So I abanoned my current playthroughs and remade my favorite halfelf as a bard - love the starting armor.
The armor is part of the bard class mod. It's their starting armor. I really love it and hope, that when bard is introduced properly into the game, the armor will be similar nice looking.
Let's see if this works... My party from my current playthrough (Barely killed Shadowheart, Astarian, Gale, and Lae'Zell... In that order. Haven't gotten to Wyll yet, but the Gobbos usually get him for me)...

I find it helps to put a bounty on Wyll in the multiplayer games to assure his death during the Goblin battle.
My one complaint of Lazael's armor is it really makes a male character look kind of dumpy. The Blauer Dragon looks like he needs to go on a diet.

How do you put a bounty on him?!?! Also, you're right about the armor, but I need to go on a diet myself... so I'm not criticizing my avatar for looking a little pudgy.
Figured I'd get out of my comfort zone a bit with the new patch. Presenting Thantasia, my first wizard in any game ever, and my second Drow since that Drizzt guy took the cool out of hip. Or vice-versa. I get an evil Bernadette Peters vibe from her, but I feel like maybe I shouldn't explore that too much.
BTW, my computer is still far from BG3-ready, so please forgive the low res image.
Thank you! Your tiefling druid looks very poised, I've never thought about making a tiefling druid before.

The armour is from 'Basket of Equipment' by Antemaxx. I also have 'Padme's Character Creation Added Colours' for extra makeup/tattoo options, and I have 'Makeup Tattoos' by aesfocus for when I want blush or eyeshadow and liner at the same time, or lip tints etc.
New week, new run, Life domain cleric in service of Ilmater She can heal any wound but I fear Shadowhearts rejection will be too much for her poor heart
This is Vidakai, sorcerer with awkward melee focused stat distribution, because I low making bad characters:
Vlaakith really should have considered the impact of having all those dragons around on her pure Githyanki bloodlines. But a weapon is a weapon, right?
By the way, is it just me or do this face not look slightly like David Bowie? xD
I made a Githyanki draconic sorceress - I'm not sure, if I will keep playing her though. I'm torn between her and a halfelf (there is a new halfelf face, I haven't seen before)
New class, new Tav. She's a half-elven wild magic sorceress. Wanted to try out both the new face and new tattoos and I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. Not a fan of the dirt overlay though lol.
Ok, since my preferred mods are working again, I did restart with a new character - Lyara Sun, Drow halfelf. I really like the new face for halfelfs (number 1 is still my favorite, but this is great too)
I had to remake Lyara Sun, since the Extra Hair Slot made problems. Now she has Mintharas hair, which I like better on Lyara anyway (plus Minthara is only for maybe 10 seconds in my game - the time I need, to kill and loot her :-D, so she has no use for that hair)

This characters face is what I would call a "main protagonist" face. The kind of face with it's own Franchise behind it. Like Kratos, Laura Croft, Samus, Eloy, etc.
Ok, I started a new character, a tiefling with one of the faces, I never used before and really like in game. It was just a test and now I'm contemplating playing her instead of the half drow (I'll keep the half drow, but I like the very unique look of this tiefling lady).
I really am not good in deciding, which character I want to play. I think, I play the tiefling lady as far as I played the half drow (the abandoned village, about to defeat the spider matriarch) and then decide, whith which character to proceed.
Nice looking Tiefling. But how does she sleep at night? I mean, literally, how does she put her head down on a pillow and rest comfortably?
Probably only on her backside.
Edit: When resting, my tiefling is lying on a bit higher neckrole - I never noticed, if that is common for all tieflings, since there are some really elaborate horns in the character creator.
My current character, Lindorm, probably stopped worrying about what side to sleep on about the same time she stopped thinking about how the fuck she is supposed to get her helmet off of her head (she doesn't even want to get into how she got it on in the first place)
She hasn't been able to clean her hair in years. That's why she's so sad
(I actually deliberately chose those horn because of how having them through the helmet would look like the old BG1 and 2 ridiculous horned helmets)
Also I really love the new dirt textures (the speed of their application might be debatable) and how great this game looks. Just look at the dirt and blood splatter on this picture
Because I want to try the level up mod and finally go beyond level 4 for a playthrough, I made a new character, a wood elf rogue. I used my currently favorite tiefling head for her, because why not. It looks as elven as the elf heads imo. ANd I really like it at the moment.
Best thing is, I don't need Astarion, so I told him to get lost - very satisfying.
Here is the thing about character customization, good character customization options aka lots of custom options with sliders will have many players spending hundreds of hours just playing with characters. Seen it in every game where they have decent customization. Even Eve online where you basically make a full bodied character just for a face.
I cannot get mods to work yet as I need a specific runtime from microsoft which is apparently not available for my verson of windows.....10. Still some pretty cool looking characters.

Oh, I totally agree - I love sliders and can spend hours in decent CCs. I made a lot of characters, I love, in Dragon Age Inquisition, which has a really detailed CC.
Stupid question I guess but how or which website do you use to upload pics? I can only post web links .....
I personally use and would recommend a program called ShareX. It uploads to imgur by default (but has many other options), and convenient quick ways to edit images to censor out names etc if needed.
My High Elf Wild Magic Sorceress Lia (Charlatan background), on the rare occasion when she is not using the Disguise Self spell or accidentally setting things on fire. I really like the roleplaying opportunities of Disguise Self, especially posing as a Githyanki when meeting Kith'rak Voss and entering the Goblin camp as a Drow.
Pronounced Lee-ah, but "Liar" would also fit, since her favourite scheme is using false identities I would have liked to play this character in a D&D campaign, but we never even made it to session zero. So I'm playing her in BG3
I tried a class, I normally don't play: cleric. In this case a dex based light cleric (wood elf) - so far, I like it. The armor is from a mod and I use one of the halfelf faces with the help of a mod too (plus the hair is a meshup between Kaghas hair and one of the cc hair)
It's kinda the old "gotta spend give minutes to don heavy armour" rules, except she has a special version where she gotta spend give minutes doing her hair up :P
I've made two changes to my favourite build of GOOlock.
Background is now Outlander to represent time spent exploring outside Menzoberrazan, learning forbidden knowledge. No Eldritch Blast. I was wondering how Wyll thinks no-one can notice when he fires EB across the grove entrance like he does, and decided to apply the obvious solution to not wanting people to notice you're a Warlock to my character. If asked, she claims to be a rogue with a bit of sorcerery.
I'll equip her with dual daggers to start, and add dual handcrossbows as I find them to give her more ranged options. Lots of grenades and scrolls too.

So - new playthrough, new character. This is Lovaris. I always wanted to make a tiefling druid because of the significance of both. With a mod (Tieflings of the Nine Hells) I can use one of the subclasses, that raise wisdom (Fierna), and I used a head mod - not because I don't like the current female tiefling options - they are among the best face options so far -, but because I'm sick of seeing variants of my own character everywhere. I really do like this face option though.
I think I've found a new look for my evil halfling warlock. Kind of reminds me of Faye Dunaway in the musketeers movie, which very much fits her character. [img]https://imgur.com/a/cHQaliU[/img]
With healing factor better than Wolverine, Deadpool and Hulk combined ... Concidering how often she would chop off those wings while sheating or unsheating weapons.

Honestly i want to use this but since it's a longsword can't dual-wield until level 4 with Dual wielder feat. Technically Katana always have their sheath....
