Just a very short, 1 minute, video of my dice rolls trying to "Save the Girl"... The dice in 'Balder's Gate 3' have the same hate towards me as the dice at my table do! smile Video recorded last night, so latest patch.

Just funny and thought I'd share...

I feel seen... hahaha hahaha hahaha
Tav: Kagha! I have come to bargain!

~rolls a 17... Needs 18. FUCK. Reload.

Tav: Kagha! I have come to bargain!

Kagha: what is this?!

Tav: This...? This is Quicksave. Endless. Looped. Quicksave.
You are the kind of person nobody ever wants to go to a casino with I bet XD
Haha it's true, when it comes to dice rolls, it's horrible luck!

Even a damage roll, you bet that damage will be in the bottom 1/3 of it's total potential, if not just a '1' ~ !

Guiding Bolt is another one, has about a 20% hit rate.
your charisma is low.
Pick somebody with high charisma or persuasion proficiency, cast guidance and may be charm spell from the distance before the conversation. It makes things much easier.

This is why I play as a wizard with 15 charisma and persuasion skill
Though not completely built around Persuasion, still not too-too bad, Charisma of 12, so +1, and Skilled for a total of +3... The first two rolls I tried Nature (DC14), but the last five attempts was Persuasion (DC10) in the video. I'm def not new to DnD just forever cursed with dice rolls it seems; guess I just have to abuse Guidance. smile

Sounds like you need to make a sacrifice to RNGesus.
Yeah this whole section sucks because no matter what you do at the grove it really feels like they are trying to force your hand to attack the druids instead of letting it actually be player choice.
save scumming at it's best, for the better
Very true, I normally do not save/load play like this but was curious just how many times it would take knowing my luck.Apparently seven times. haha

They added inspiration so that you could avoid that. If you ran out of it and still want a good roll, yeah, save scumming.
Yeah, that is a pretty bad run of bad luck smile "This is what it sounds like when dice cry . . ."

But, yikes, I guessing that MC doesn't have much charisma or a persuasion proficiency. Bump cha, take the proficiency, or make Wyll the talker. Guidance is the cantrip that rules all.

Yup, +1 Cha and Skilled in Persuasion for a total of +3... Not super awesome but not bad either; just bad luck... I'll have to abuse Guidance.. haha. smile
