We (level 3) were helping Minthara defeat the druids, and in the big fight at the end by the sacred pool we just stood at the top of the elevator. The elevator was down, and the enemies didn't know how to raise it. Half of them stood still and went *Argh!* and the other half ran over, buffing and healing each other while we picked them off. A few of them had ranged attacks that reached, but it was easy enough to kill them all while taking barely any damage. Eventually we pulled the rest and killed them too. I suspect that they should be able to use the elevator, and I think it might be a good idea to add another elevator lever at the bottom, for use when the platform is at the top.
