I've been playing for a couple of hours and still in the citadel and I am getting really frustrated at the pointless lever-riddles and the dungeon-crawling. I thought this was a RPG! But so far the fact that my character is a Paladin soul-bound to a Deathknight has not made any difference to the game whatsoever. If I want to play a linear dungeon-crawl I'll play Diablo II or Icewind Dale -- at least those have decent graphics. I read that the game wasn't really up to date graphic-wise, but this would barely be appropriate fo a 2000 game (not to mention the non-existent voice-acting...)

So, is the game going to get better, i.e. more role-play oriented, less linear and with better riddles or is that it?

*shrug* Wait till Act 2 begins. It gets a lot less linear. Sure, you know what the main quest will be, but you'll be able to go pretty much anywhere from the imp town once you're told what to do.

BTW, the first act was designed to be linear (towards the end of it you get to an area with a bit more freedom, teachers and quests).

Define RPG, for complete idiots such as me.

What do you expect?

Oh, please do! It would spare us of more whining. Someone throw me a piece of camambert.

Oh really? And I take Diablo 2 had top notch graphics?
You know, there's an excellent word which, although I dislike to use, I find myself using more and more often. It's "Graphic Doubleyou Eighch Oh Are Ee".

What if I yes? Would you stop whining? What if no? Is it a good reason for you to commit a suicide?

No, DATD just likes to be a bit Sarcastic from time-to-time, no more insaulting then he is other times. In a mean way.

Well, little girl you have a huge problem...
As you see , what we feel in our souls have an = to the real life...
Same same to this game!!!
"i play for a couple of hours..."...What?And you make out a conclusion?
I hope not to do that with real people cause is very bad thing...
You see?you can't find what realy exist if you are boring to search...
Wait until start the 2nd act...
if you can't wait this game is realy not made for you!!!

Hey guys, no need to insult each other. After all it's just a game! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

No seriously, there's no reason to be rude to each other, so please behave or I let the Deathknight chasing you.

Well, DEATH (in the Discworld novels) wouldn't like to be called with such a rude name ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

By the way, DEATH in the Discworld novels SPEAKS ONLY IN CAPITAL LETTERS. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
