In the village, once I free Beryn from the collapse beam in the fire, he doesn't move towards the door and just stay there to die. Also, I believe the fire is breaking out too fast.
Also got problems there. I managed to complete the quest by freeing him from the building where is dead spouse is located. You have to smash the door to get to him and he never follows you, but you can complete the quest this way.
