Wow.... I'm in act 3 and I have like 200k worth of equipment and items. And haven't seen a single holy water.

By the way, you don't need to put the BF keys in your inventory. You just need to click on them while they are on the ground and the BF unlocks and stays unlocked. So you never need to pick them up.

that pic was from act II, where i found the 11 in the shot plus (i think) 2 more.
i'm just entering into act IV and have been lucky enough to find 15 or 16 total.
haven't used any yet though.

Yea, your really lucky, I found like 1 in game it self and around 5 in the battlefields after beating the game. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

yes, i would say it was pure luck.
funny thing is, i may not ever use them.
i've not even used the potions that are quest rewards or part of the storyline.

Could someone please explain how we use Holly Water again? My memory betrayed me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> And I happen to have one bowl.

if you have the correct alchemy plants and a holy water in inventory, just right clicking on either should provide the option.
don't remember if to do so the character must also be the selected 'leader' or not.

honour - i hope you didn't take my last post as insulting. that was far from my intent. i simply haven't used them because of the challenge.
if you look at the picture where i show the potions, you'll also notice that i have 23-25 unused attribute points and a number of unused skill points.
i was just trying to keep the game from becoming far too easy, and thus the reference to unused holy waters.

IIRC you must have a certain level in Alchemy skill in order to creat portions out of holly water. I have the skill to produce medium portions. Does anyone remember if I must get in a higher level?

Yes you need a level 4 extract skill to make permanent potions.

ya know, you could just duplicate your holy water if you have them, according to this link: [color:"red"] lost item guide [/color]

i would include an inventory file, except that i don't know how to post them to the forum, or if that is even possible. i don't have server space on which to put an inventory file containing x item. if you ask nicely maybe someone who does have the ability to share these items will do so.

incidentally i believe the power of your potions is also level related, not just skill related.

well, as of last duplication i now have 192 holy water, and that was after the previous duplication so now my character and the summoning dolls stats are ridiculous (thanks to the creation of many varied permanent potions). i walk through the battlefields. although with 3000 hit points, while most cannot hurt me there was something that did kill me when i was distracted, and it did it rather quickly, so its not like i'm invulnerable. i couldn't resist trying this out.

I've re-started the game on Hardcore, and wanted to spend some of my har earned on silver charms in Act 1 BF.

I was re-entering the BF several times to refresh the merchants goods until I got what I wanted, when I sudenly noticed that Elkar had a Holy Water. Remembering the comments on this thread about rareity & char Luck, I thought you'd be interested to note that my party has virtually no luck.

whats more, when I approached the other merchants on the same BF visit, they ALL had an Holy Water for sale.

A similar thing happene in the Post Game BF. When 1 merchant had 1, they all did.

So I guess they are like busses, none for ages, and then 4 come along at once, and it just depends on YOUR luck, not your parties luck stats.

Hey, is that the key to luck? Perhaps the game gives better items to hardcore players because they would need them more.

I'm going to try that. I had been playing in action but recently went into options and found I was in easy mode. I restarted at the end of Act 2 and got two bottles of holy water. It may have been in action mode at that point. The game has been easy. But it was easy before in action mode too.

I reset it back to action and found no difference, but I haven't visited the BF yet. I wonder if we can keep setting it back and forth. (I know - cheating).

The only reason I restarted was to pay more attention to what was being sold and try to build up on holy water and 3/4 gem slot items. I did get more items than I had before, but only the two holy water.

I tried it. Game difficulty makes no difference. Luck is probably better and that makes none at all.

My alchemy never works, I can right click, and choose the size, but I can never make any kind of potion!

1. Who has the skill?
2. Who has the plants in his/her inventory?
3. Who is in leading/single mode?


The skill char must have plants+skill and be either in leading or single mode.
