I have a couple questions about the game that have been bugging me for a while, well here they go
Where can I get/buy specific silver and gold charms?

very rarely orcs drop them and I got a gold one from the evil wizard in the dark forest, and also the mage shopkeep in ars magicana has a silver poison one occasionally, but I really need vitality ones .
Also I ran into a crazy lady that has alot of charms that you cant steal on a road by the drawf inn, but she didnt have any silver or gold charms even when i kept reloading. blah.

2.Is there anywhere in the game that I can buy spellbooks?

I've heard this somewhere but I've never seen one for sale yet, and I want to use some skillpoints on the bow skill's, instead of using them on stuff that I might be able to buy later.

3.If I pickpocket a merchant and steal everything he has, it usually takes a really long time for him to get more stuff, and then most of the time its crappier than it was before. Is there a set recharge time for items to come back? and are there merchant(s) that usually has really good stuff anywhere in the game? (Lots of gold too in cases theres one I cant steal from) All i have is a great bow, the rest of my stuff's pretty cheap.

Well thats all of them. Sorry for the long post, thanks for any answers that I get. peace.

[color:"yellow"] Kristandalus in Ars Magicana; Corinna in Verdistis are your best bets, other than random luck in monsters' drops

[color:"yellow"] Whatever they offer is random generated, so its your sheer luck

[color:"yellow"] Barek + Kristandalus + Corinna at random. Additionally some can be found lying around, and some spells can be learned as quest rewards

(Lots of gold too [color:"yellow"] Your best bet is Geoff, the blacksmith (usually around 50.000), not bad also the armorer (here, check his cupboards, there are some nice items he only sells upon you finding them) in cases theres one I cant steal from) All i have is a great bow, the rest of my stuff's pretty cheap.

If you quick save before running your mouse over an item/chest/merchant or hitting the alt key, you can identify the item or trade with the merchant, then quick load to get different stats or inventory. This can be done repeatedly to get the best stats or specific bonuses on an item (save after finding good candidates) or looking for specific items (such as spell books or charms) from merchants.

Hmm chests... Lets say I fail to lockpick a certain chest does that set the item as well, or is it only on mousing over? Btw thanks for the extra info.

Just moving the cursor over the chest to try to Lockpick it will set its contents.
