What are the evil looking statues for?

In act 2, I'm in this cave where I'm able to pick up all the evil looking statues except the one with green on it that won't seem to be picked up even when I press ALT to pick it up with.

What are these statues for?

throw all other 3 statues into the pentagram circles where you found the last statue(4 circles-4 statues), leave the middle circle alone..
