Please - when is this due for release? Will it include?

o A correction to the mapping functions in the BFs where previously explored areas of the BF main maps (and some dungeons) are 'blacked out' especially on reload/revisit. Applies to auto and minimaps.

o The teleporter stones in Act IV - or at least some explanation as to why these are removed - I can't for the life of me see why these were made unavailable (unless of course Act IV was developed in advance of the rest of the software and someone 'forgot' to add them in prior to the main release)

regards

Agreed, it really annoys me, and for me makes the game unplayable, to hit a hot key and have the wrong character do the action (yes I do make sure the character is leading). And some folks here seem to pretend there are negligble bugs...

so...uh....have you tried to re-map the hotkeys??
and how does that make the game unplayable, .....
and don't expect the BF map thingy to be fixed either.....
it was made that way, for size purposes!

Well there are alot of minor bugs that are tiring and annoying to workaround all the time after a while i guess.

potions are rather annoying...
regardless of who is leading, once you start changing the leader, whomever's potion inventory is opened will drink the potion, whether leader or not. this is also regardless of who is actually carrying them.
this is exactly why i've answered posts concerning hotkeying other keys for potion use with the answer 'i don't know why you would'.
there is the option for designating a key (hit scroll lock) to 'change leader', but this only accomplishes who you're directly controlling and opens chests, doors, etc.
you must also define 'member 1' and 'member 2' to have control over who drinks...and then you lose even the 'follow' of the other character.
i've found no simple answer for quick-need potions like heals......

Lego,

It's not just potions, but everything - offensive spells, defensive spells, potions, BF entry (yep you even have to switch leader to enter/leave the BF with a hotkey), ...

It should be possible to hotkey, select target (if any) switch leader, hotkey, select target... at present if you try that you will likely be disappointed, frustrated, confused and dead.

Seems like the DD single character system was implemented for two characters in a rush. Hence the desperate need to patch this.

Cheers

No doubt. This is the buggiest and most crash ridden game I've ever seen, and I play a *LOT* of games. I have a way more than adequate system, latest drivers, etc, and all their support can tell me is that it must be something with my computer. Funny if this were the case, then why do so many others have these problems and why don't I have problems with any other games? Larian should just sell all its assets and close their doors, since I can't imagine anyone buying another of their products.

Welcome to the forum!

I really don't believe this is the buggiest game you've ever played, if you have, you haven't played alot.

Well, have you ever thought that it might be your computer?? Many people don't have tons of problems, while others do have problems. Or is it that you got a different disc then me and thats why you have tons of bugs? I don't have bugs. Do you want to know my system specs? They suck, and I have only had Beyond Divinity crash maybe once! And no other bugs at all.

Guess what? I can. And I will. Why should they sell everything and close if they have fun games?

If this were the case then we wouldnt have anty more games at all i have played several hundred titles for console and PC that were bug ridden when they came out because although play tested very well they were play tested by people looking fo bugs that conflict with the story and gameplay on a serious level not bugs that the average gamer running aroud killing things might find or that the average idiot might find because he wants to try and crack the game or any other such problems as people have had with Starforce

Whaa? ...Lews?...

Oh man Lews, lol ..what!?! you'r really funny!! REALLY!!!
No bugs? ..NOTHING?? NO COMPLAINTS???
Absolutly wowtastic!!! Man, why dont you get a soap bar, go round to any Larian "programmer's" place, and wash their backsides there and then but please dont do it on here!! ...dude, you are FULL of it!!!
lol, but on the other hand, you might have gotten the bug-free-soap-backside-washer edition brown cd version with no bugs, how the game should have been like.. exactly how u described it Lews...no bugs, no problems.
Great, can u make some 3 billion copies of that cd then please, coz we're all stuck with crap software here Lews, help us out man, giz us some more indepth commentary (cough, sarcasm overflow) on that!!

And Drizzt, you apparantly must have gotten the game for free, or you are just plain rich.. A game should be WORTH buying, so that u can see that some bloody effort has gone into it!!!
If your happy with the game, thats good on you! ..Fortunatly alot of people do have eyes and see whats going on, and when they are confronted with bugs left right and center in BD... they get kind of... frustrated and angry!
People work for their money, they buy a game, they expect quality, they expect to be entertained.. This game has no quality, it should be given free with a soap bar (hey, that might work for you Lews), AND a warning that it MIGHT just frustrate you a little much, and dissapoint you, and annoy you, etc etc etc etc!!!

Beyond Divinty is a great game, but it's definately the buggiest one *I* have played. And it's not like I have been playing a unpatched version of the game. I have only played v1.45. I am going to play Warcraft 3 or Rise of Nations or something until the next patch comes out.

Man I don't think there is ever going to be another patch for this game. So you might just want to like I did and try your best to get through the game and then take It off your Hard Drive. That's what I did any ways. I was actually trying to figure work arounds more than playing and having fun with the game, but I'm hoping this will be a lesson learned and Beyond Divinity 2 will be a great game. Peace..

You have some manner of a weird way talking style pal, and i feel the frustation lying as a source of your behaviour under your emotional being.

i get out that you just started to play games and with the lack of gaming experience you didnt had the opportunity to realize how fascinating BD is! so i understand you! But just know this..me too had no problems after the 1.45 patch..just the lockpick skill is a little pain in the [nocando]...The Game worth the money!! there are no better RPG games avail! AND This is the best game! but i realize that you lack in RPG gaming experience too..so i understand you again! but you can handle this..probably you have some Computer Problems as the source of your frustations and emotional weird actings...but we can solve them..just ask us and we all are avail to help you out of your Computer problems..

Yeah, this game has bugs, however, it is a great game!!! I wasn't too sure if I'd like (even though I loved Divine Divinity), however, after playing it a little, I can say it is one of the most fun games I've actually played. I will buy another Larian game. All games are released with bugs. This game is not one of the buggiest, Sacred is.

- Yes, i am frustrated at this game alot indeed, i dont respond to well to being sc****d with this farce game they dared to release, whilst DD was so good.. It's the difference between the two, are you still blind?

get out that you just started to play games and with the lack of gaming experience you didnt had the opportunity to realize how fascinating BD is! so i understand you! But just know this..me too had no problems after the 1.45 patch..just the lockpick skill is a little pain in the [nocando]...The Game worth the money!!

- lol, no actually, i have been playing games a real long time now.. i think some 10 years now.. And i love playing games. Been playing games on C-64, MSX, Amiga 500/1200, and now the PC.. Seen many many games, some worse than others.. but they worked allright!
This game just makes frustration come in, and im not talking about bugs now my friend! Alot of things in this game just arent right, and the difference between the char's lookout has changed so much that in BD, the chars look like they've been taken right from the sims!!!!
- BD fascinating?? ..no im afraid not.. not at all! I bought both games simultanously i'll have you know, and i really loved DD.. and when i completed that game, i started to play BD.. only to be shocked at how much they ruined, the point here that mainly is bothering me is that Larian didnt do much work on this game as much as they put into DD, they r using the income from this to fund their holidays, or their new upcoming game.. Which i will not be buying. Im only impressed with Larian for how well they f'ed up BD, after a good release like DD, they should know better!

- This game the only and best RPG??? I THINK NOT buddy, lol.. This game is SO NOT!!!! wash your mouth boy! ...Thats actually quite sad to hear from you, i feel actually sorry for you.

- Dont know were you deduct the fact that i am new to gaming AND RPG games or whatever crap you mentioned, maybe that is in par with how you see this game!

- The game is worth the money? lol, well im glad you are happy with it. If you like being scr**ed that is, yes then i understand you.

And since when is it the user's fault for a game not working properly? All my other games run fantasticly!!
lol, and if i ever get "Computer Problems", i really really wont be asking you or Larian for help, they f'ed up this game, who knows what good ideas they can reduce to piles upon piles of crap!! Im STILL amazed to what reasoning they went to make this game worse than DD, it is beyond me..last time i buy a game from Larian thats for sure.
If you cant see whats wrong with this game, dont suddenly grow a brain and tell me or other people that they have no gaming experience or whatever crap.. I've seen games that had their faults, i still played on coz i was attracted to them still.. This game has certainly not been given ANY of that kind of effort. But thats my oppionion, obviously not yours. I just expect more quality at this price, you do not apparantly, each onto their own pal.

Just *some* of the things that frustrated and drained me:

- Character shooting arrows while bow isnt readied.
***This causes a minor insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).
- Shooting fire arrows, while earth arrows is selected.
***This causes a minor insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).
- Gem saying its a spear or vica versa, it so frustrated me i chose to forget.
***This causes a minor insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).
- Gems showing up as "DO NOT USE". Could have been simple to implement this in programming to remove from player's inventory, though simple, it wasnt done..
***This causes a minor insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).
- Game running as slow as a stack pig, higher requirement games run faster than this! AND THIS GAME IS 2D for crying out loud!!!
- Samuel telling me that he's impressed with the white rum i gave to the guard in the hall, whilst i didnt even undertake that quest.
***This causes a mediocre insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).
- DK constantly mentioning we're entering a "dangerous area" in the citadel. (YES I KNOW, THANK YOU!! man!! SHUT UP now please!!)
***This exhausts the player's patience.
- DK's armour looks stupid below his knees, is it fashion? lol
- Char's run really weird.. DD char looked alot better.
- Limit on amount of skill slots, and skill gain per level is too slow. My oppionion only though. Some people like the restrictions.
- Black square areas in BF areas, does clear when char touches it but returns when player re-enters BF.
***This annoys the player, and more each time they are confronted with it.
- Unclarity about the BF keys, they are removed from the inventory after ACT change, and player is not informed nor questioned should he like to play a lil more in the current BF's b4 losing it all. Only coming on the forum here i found out why, it was not in the manual, it changed with the patches.
***This causes a minor insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).
- Learning skills from teachers is not stored, say teacher A teaches you the max for tracking to 5, another teacher will STILL offer to teach you the same skill to 3.
***This causes a minor insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).
- The doll summoning idea was a stupid one. A spell would have been better, but when ya stuck for limited skill slots, what can you do?
- Creatures stuck behind walls, and sometimes the player or DK can too be stuck in that way.
***This causes a minor insecurity and distrust in the makeup of the game (cumulative).

Oh i could go on for hours..

Im sure you can add up my frustration, dissapointment, etc, etc..
