Hi all,

And certainly,hi Larian Studios <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Ive just been playing the demo of Divine divinity.I like the story and gameplay, but one thing is a source of GREAT frustration for me...

For me,this game is like a dungeon siege and diablo 2 thrown together in a good stew <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Dungeon siege is as we all know 3d,and Diablo 2 (which is my alltime favorite game) isometric 2d environment.
I want to know why o freaking why did you use the perspective that you did.In my eyes,it looks *wrong*.And trust me I've followed 6 years of arts in highschool,i can know. Some stuff doesnt seem right to me smirk
Diablo 2 is totally correct concerning graphics...but this...ouch!I cant really explain why or how...but I'm sure some people know what I'm talking about...

comment away guys...

There's actually nothing *wrong* with the perspective used, only it's not the standard you'd see in every other isometric game, and if you played diablo 2 for so long I'd see where you'd find it a little bit odd.

Diablo 2 uses the standard isometric view of 45 degrees

Divinity, and beyond divinity use a more acute angle of around 65 or 70 degrees!

Nothing wrong with it at all, looks great. You'll get used to it...it's a great game.

Ps. there's a seperate divine divinity forum! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I know where you're coming from. But you get used to it... Nothing more to say about it, you just get used to it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's wierd when reviews say this game uses an isometric view, because it is not isometric at all. Shows how much they know.

I believe the technical name is "cabinet view". Personally, I think advertising that the game is in cabinet view is kind of silly. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
