ok i was checking to make sure my game had the right version of the patch and the version in the corner of the main menu says 1.0034a the current patch i can find is 1.34 now my question is is that the same version i have or is it a different version

Yup, you installed the right patch. I patched DD on my PC and I thought I intalled the wrong patched, too. Patch 1.34 is shown as 1.0034a in the game. The original DD is 1.0029a.
