I became a divine one and now I have to defeat all 5 members of the ring. But some of them are using blind spell. How can I protect against this spell? It is almost imposible to fight agains them blind .... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

There's no way to protect yourself from Blind.
You must keep Josephina busy so she doesn't have time to cast blind.

Search the forum for some tips on killing Josephina.

I'll give you a little tip about defeating the Black ring. If you've got any skill points left over MAX out your own blind spell. If you haven't got any points left over, try and buy a book and then duplicate it.
Now for the tip; PAUSE is your best friend. Cautiously enter the room where the black ring member is, only enter far enough to trigger their dialogue. Stand still and wait for them to finish speaking. As soon as they do, hit the pause button. Now, hold down the SHIFT key and scroll the screen to their location. Then cast Blind on them (the game will automatically unpause when you cast the spell). Once an enemy is 'blind' they can't cast any spells on you. They'll just stand there looking bewildered. You can then easily finish them off, with a couple of hits of 'curse' (to lower their resistances) followed by 'life leech'. Leech them down to a sliver of life, then hit them with a long range spell or weapon. You should take them out in a matter of seconds and the poor buggers will never even get close to you or know what hit them.

Well, I am just starting to Wastelands. Regarding to my experiences with Black Ring members, I found that Elemental Hail(level 5-all from books <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />) served me well. I constantly (I mean it) cast that on them and they were halted that they couldn't move or even cast spell or attack. I took me some minor restoration potions but every time the fight ended in 15 seconds with victory. I think it worth the potions. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
Whatever you do, play aggressive...

yeah i wish i would have read this before i went in last night...this was my first time to be blinded and i kept getting hell spiked. i was so pissed.

but then i realized i could just run around and he'd chase me until i could see again - if you can get a word in edgewise, you can also freeze them and then kill them.

why do i always resort to freezing when in a panic? hehehehe

Personally, I found that Energy Cage worked very well on all of the Black Ring members except Josephina. Cast 5 times and hack away with your choice of weapon. [color:"blue"] [/color]

I found the best way to deal with her is level 5 hell spikes. killed her in a matter of seconds, also because of the nature of the spell it prevents her from casting spells of her own. if she does blind you then fade from sight until the spell wares off and attack.
