By the way, saving the game is *much* faster now.

Hmmmm..Well thats cool. Odd thing is,I never had a problem with any bugs in this game,it ran smoothly. Now Fallout on the other hand,ya wanna talk about a game with alot of bugs!

Too bad there wasn't a reload in real life.

I played the game in an early version and encountered all kinds of bugs, crashes etc.
But I must admit that I enjoyed the game very much. is great.
I hope Larian guys started to work on expansion already. How unsatisfied I am...

I get errors when I start up but that happened before the patch too. I often have to start it a couple times in a row before it actaully runs. The config program then runs and tells me no directdraw device detected (I have a GF4, latest direct X and Win98 SE) and I select Direct 3D option. Often this config crashes and I have to kill the task and re-run it until it works.
The other problem I have is sometimes using the repair skill boots me to desktop as soon as I click the item I am trying to repair.

Guess this is in the wrong forum, but talk of glitches got me thinking.
I guess Im wondering if anyone else has heard of these problems?

I have not heard of the first error, but some people who have run into problems with Repair have found repairing items in their inventory or on the ground is more reliable.

Hmmm..only 2 real problems I've had with it was,it booted me off for no reason in the middle of the game,& every now & then, the monsters names would be covered by a flash of my inventory screen. Aside from that, good job,I just beat the game too,soo can't wait till a add-on,or sequel.

Personally, I think, booting in the middle of the night ... err ... game means : lack of memory (RAM, HD, Swapfile) ...

Well in my case the patch KILLED the game. The actuall problem is covered elsewhere. Now I have the choise of waiting for a second patch whitch just migth cause further problem for me, or start allover in Aloreth with just the hotfix. In Arcanum or Baldursgate I would have done this anyway ,just test new things, but DD , eventhough its very good has no ReplayValue!
I have cleared all Rivellon and Verdistris, taken a good piece of Dark Forest as well. If I restart all this will be "yesterdays dinner" something boring to just push thru.
Ok I can find new ways to kill monsters and avoid a few misstakes but I forsee no new Choices! No suprise!

Lar this EnglishPatch really messed this game for me.

I didn't experience any serious crashes/problems with DD, so i didn't feel the new patch, but what i expected, was a skill balance... which didn't come - scorpions are still mass-destruction weapons, ranger sight still gives much less than elven and only has meaning if you need LOTs of sight (to have something more than elven gives you); people reporting that true shot is still worthless and so on...
yep, crashes are always no.1 priority, but i think some balance wouldn't hurt...
i wanted to start a new thief character and use nice thief-trees' sight, use balanced scorpions... oh well *looks and feels disappointed*
