I know you can buy them from 'Neurik' at the 'Temple of Tyr/Beorunna's Well' in the OC, but I don't remember if they are loot anywhere.

Egin Yes, it's when you meet him for the second time. When he is selling either +2 or +3 items or something like that. I wish I could be more specific, sorry. Tsel

You have to wait till chapter 3 Egin. If you're not lucky enough to find them in a random drop of course.

you can if you have the patience to reload that wonderful chest in luskan, the one where you have to fight a demi-lich. just save before opening the box and keep on reloading until you get the boots of speed.
in such a situation, patience can really be a virtue.

I did that reloading after exiting Jhareig Castle. Remember, meeting that dude, he dissapears and you see a chest. Got some ring. Thank you about boots of speed trick.
Womble, actually, having a possibility for acquiring boots of speed, I don't see a reason for multiclassing anymore. I can get decent AC thanks to high dex + gear like +AC rings and amus.
I have one more question, please. I am about to enter Luskan. After I enter that area I will not be able to go back to port Llast and all chap2 quest items dissapear. Do you know what is the reason for chrystal statuette, insect and frog? Never seen anybody interested in them and haven't seen them amond ingredients lists for crafting either. It seems that all items in this game have their purpose, so, what are these for?
And one more thing, those recipes I get after finding tomes, can I craft those items only once?
Sorry guys for torturing you with my endless questions. And thanks for your help.

Spoiler : Those were all quest items (Mutamin's Challenge) that you paid Jaroo to do when you were under that Green Griffon Inn fighting off all of those spiders and such. At the end there is an area that has a statue and an empty glowing chest. This is also the place where you will need the crystal items. If you touch on a statue it will give you one last riddle. You actually have to place the right Crystal item according to the riddle in order to exit the competition. Tsel

Spick > If you happen to look. Or to anyone who gets to this point playing SoU with the Windows NWN 1.65.8066x ============== This special build of NWMain and NWServer is to fix an issue with the SoU Official Campaign in Chapter 2 where the game slows down and becomes unplayable. Please back up you existing nwmain.exe and nwserver.exe files before using these new executables. These files are multiplayer-compatible with the other 1.65.8066 patches. Please report any success or failures of this to nwbugs@bioware.comThanks! http://supportfiles.bioware.com/NWN1.65.8066x.zipDerek French Technical Producer Tsel

Actually its just the way the official campiagns go in NWN. I find muilticlassed wizards far more hardy simply because of the number of good fighters you come across. First char: sorc, (ok) Second: sorc/monk (muahhahahahaa) That's all I'll say on the subject....

Womble. Heh, Thanks, I am intrigued again Okies, I will probably stick to your advise and take rogue. I guess,

Yay, guys, I found Boots of Speed!!!! Now, my wuzard's life got 2x boost Everything he does, he does two times faster. This is really refreshing.
As for location - Chap 3, remember that - Find 4 levers quest (lever of earth, water, fire, air). There is small ordinary chest next to levers. First time I opened it and got crappy chrystal and healing potion, but I forgot to save and was wiped out by that captain later, so reloaded, occasionally checked that chest and voila - Boots of Speed!!! I am happy. This is what makes me love RPG's
