Mea >

I finally decided to create a Fighter(+)/Socerer(1)/RDD(10) and play it for a short, short in HoTU, since you talk about RDD's so much.
I specialized him weilding a Great Axe.
Holy!
Talk about a frikkin power house!
I've never wiped the floor so easily with any other character I've ever created!
All I could do was laugh!
I just walked into Chapter 2 and I've reached 20th level and I already have a natural STR of 31!

All I'd suggest to others is grab the WILL feats and your game play should be a simple breeze.

well yes they are a powerhouseTsel, I basicly have about 13 -14 characters (cant remember exactly) for a PW I play on and they all have Sorc/RDD as their second and third class Primary being whatever I want to specialise in, it also happens that on this particular PW, the best armor available is for Sorc's so it all works out, having said that I stilll get killed every now and then just to keep me honest I guess

if you want overpowered, download the prc pack at www.nwnprc.netgamers.co.uk

it has a lot of new races, classes, prestige classes, and feats all playable in nwn oc up to hotu.

some races are just ridiculously overpowered. remember those illithids, rakshasas in hotu, or yuan-ti. well you can play them now. they have + to certain attributes per race. for example, trolls have +12 to str, + 10 to con, and can regenerate 5 hp's per round.

illithids, aside from having pluses to int, con, wis, cha and dex, have an innate spell resistance of 25, +1 per level.

playing a yuan-ti monk in the oc now, and certain npc's have a reaction to his race.

also playing a lizardfolk warrior druid. wonder how morag and those old ones will react when they face one of their own in the final battle?

among the new dwarven races, the azer is one of the most powerful. it has pluses to str, dex, con, and does a point of fire damage every hit. it is immune to fire but vulnerable to cold. oh, and it looks cool, too.

Well done Egin .
hows about giving it a go as a Bard...Doh, ray, me, fah, so, la, te, doh!

bards are very powerful and very versatile. the last time i finished hotu was with a lvl 28 bard. in chap. 3, aribeth & valen chopped everything to pieces with my bard helping with her bardsong and curse song. she didn't even have to engage in melee. i thought of multi-ing her to a sorc and or rdd, but was having too much fun with her as a pure class. plus, i like a high-level bard song. iirc, the benefits stack every level. bard song + curse song = a lot of dead enemies.

Honestly, I'm curious : Does the Editor of NWN support different rule sets ? Or is (A)D&D "hard-coded" ?

I have heard the rumor of some people who made DSA conversions (games) with that editor ...

I love NWN,

if you want to use a vow you need the following feats:

Weapon Focus
Improved Critical
Rapid Shot
Called Shot ( if you want to waste another aditional feat, I don't use this feat because I needed the feat somehwere else.)
Point Blank Shot

and if you have HoU and reach Epic Classes then pick one level to fighter so weapon specialazation and epic weapon specialazation gets available.

Shyon Baby how are you ?????

Erm nope I haven't bought PotSC yet, mainly because I am not a piratey type person, but did buy Kingmaker, and was most impressed.

So ..... as far as I can read it will be another Top Hit for Bioware, and if I am not mistaken this is the Mod that was partly created by Stephen Gagne so for that alone it would be worth it.

My advice? if you like Pirates .... go for it, as it will surely be worth the money

hey Shyon, how are u doing?

Mea, i hope u can do a review on KingMaker. i really am thirsty for new NWN campaigns but at the same time very wary of those online only premium modules.

Hmm well Kingmaker lets just say I couldn't stop playing it and finished it in a week, that said, it is possible to play the game again with a diff character and or diff alignment and get a totally different ending so that's good for replayabilty (drat is that a word?)scripting was good the new voice acting excellent the story outstanding Hrmph! the only negative thing I have to say is, it has no CEP and due to the fact that the module is locked, you cant insert CEP by using the Toolset.
In regards to the online thing it went pretty straight forward no hassles no delays, (but then I use dsl) yeah it caught me by surprise when I re-loaded a game ,that there was a split second delay, but I got used to that

Having said all that, I must confess I am a bit of a Bioware Addict, I just love everything they do, aside from MDK and Freedom Force 3rd.

But as a parting thought I give Kingmaker a 8+ out of 10 and only because it didn't have the possibility of using CEP (yeah I know I am a fashion nut )

hardly a nut, Mea. u're a trend setter. love the way u dressed up your characters. makes me wanna load CEP just for that.

sadly i am only on dialup & i normally borrow NWN from a friend. to have his game all of the time is not fair for him, i think. *sigh* price for original games in malaysia just never drop.

maybe i'll have one of my cousins in the states to find it in the bargain bin.

KIngmaker is a "Premium Module" made by Bioware that you can buy for about ohh US$8.00 bucks I think, as opposed to the free ones available on the vault (read post under Gallery topic)

Hey Spick have fun it is an awesome fun mod, and keep everything you find ... you'll be amazed what you can do with it and the xp is great for a starter mod, which this basicly is, Dave didn't wanna have an NPC there who said hey I will make you 6th lvl so you fit into the game, and thus he made a little mod to get you started, sort of like a tutorial to his little surprises

And yeah I get it .... I have a rogue named Dannielle Steele, who happens to write novels as a Hobby
