Blizzard as always is doing excellent job. I don't remember seing such success with any other games, especially with MMORPG where u are going to pay on a monthly basis. I mean the status of sales. It is absolutely 100% sold out here, in Finland, in Russia. No copies available. Everyone is sitting and waiting for more hot copies to come out. That's unbeleivable.

I have bought and am playing WoW atm, and I am a lvl 25 night elf rogue.
I love the game and don't regret having to pay on a monthly basis.
Hence, I have made my brother addicted to it, so he will pay half the fee

I recommend it to everyone

Started it last Friday and am enjoying it tremendously. Kiya enters the online gaming world (lvl 15 nightelf hunter). I'm always broke, have a dedicated relationship to cemataries, due to wanting to gather leather - I'm quite good at cooking (unlike in RL) and have discovered the joys of fishing - spend hrs staring at the blinker. Ahand! I have an animal companion, a lvl 15 feline called Bastet.

Only thing I have probs with is the chat part... I always forget to click on the person I mean.... quite painful if I am impolite, mean 1 person and seem to address all
Kiya

See you on the server Perenolde (only German?) Duelling and gild membership is not my way to play.

Questions:

There seem to be skill related quests - so far I have the cooking and fishing quests. Does anyone know if there are more? Maybe for alchemy/herbs? And if so, where, please? My chum is druid.

And I have a hunch, there might be skinning quests as well (I'm 130/150. Leather 105/150) => yep, hunch is correct, got one skill quest there.

It is becoming harder and harder to resist from buying this game. Gosh, where are Guild Wars?
I have heard rumors that WOW is available here in a couple of stores. OMG!
I need to resist at least until Splinter Cell release at the end of March.
But I have a feeling I may just go and buy it today if I see it.

To do list:
Finish jobtraining (6 months remaining)
Get a job preferably one that pays ( another month or 2 )
Keep working till I can actually buy a better PC without bankrupting myself (3-4 months)

Yeah, did that one - quest reward was a recipy for a moonshine vest, pretty purple color. Sheesh, I needed about 80 leather pieces for that one. I like the skill quests, they require patience

I'm a bit angry: I'm in the alliance, have my lvl cap for fishing and cooking (150) - and in order to go on expert in fishing, I need to get to the other continent - - even if I only need to be lvl 20 to meet requirement, I fear, I won't survive the way to Booty Bay.

Listen Übs, is WoW still available in stores in Sweden? I ask you, bcause it seems that by location you are the closest guy to me.
I think that is there a way I sent you money and you buy and send the game to me? I was searching in local stores and it is sold out here.

Draghermosran: Don't worry mate. There is a good side also, by the time, you get yourseft wow it will be bug free and full of nice additional features.

I donno, never ordered online. How long time does it usually take from ordering till you getting it?

But, sure, if there is a problem with it, then forget it.

Kiya don't worry.
First of all, if I were you I'd make shure there isn't another way to improve that skill. Cause I thought you could train any skill to the maximum level in any of the great alliance cities as Stormwind, Darnassus and Ironforge.

If there really is no other way, just stick to the road, and you will probably survive it.
I have had to travel trough large areas where all the monsters were at least 7 levels over me. But you can always avoid them and stick to the road.
And when you get were you need to be, and aquire the skill, you must NOT forget to look for the flight master if there is one in the area.
Otherwise, take the hearthstone back; the fastest and safest way yo travel

I hope this information is of some use for you

Egin,

Wow is unavailable in france too for ten days/ two weeks, i think.

excuse is the servers' capacity which is making me laughing.

@all: please understand i'm not criticizing this game. Just a marketing argument here. Well it is very strange to sell a produce for 2 weeks then not for 3 weeks then again for two weeks... Never seen that.

As Blizzard is recruiting in europe i think just they were not prepared which is a fault after the bang made in the US...

Thanks, Jvb. Yes, your tips help - but let me give you an example: I had to go to Menethil (I'm in the alliance as an elf) - I strolled quite happily outside the town ON the road and had no chance against a lvl 24 crocodile - exitus. Same for the Nightsong woods: I was ON the street and an insane Urdum with level ??? attacked - exitus again.

By reading the tips on Fansites there only seems to be one way to get the fishing skill book => Booty Bay. (expert up to 225).

As for the resting stone => ever tried to activate it in a monster region? I did.... exitus again.

The game is great fun though. It's just my eagerness to max out my 2 professions - and fishing is really great fun. I did read I could look into the auction houses for a fishing book (skill up to 225). I will try that later on - as I'm constantly broke. Making money is very difficult, because I rarely sell my leather goods (skill over 200 now), give them to weaker chars or my Druid chum. And... errhm, I love shopping - I'm lvl 24 now.

As for you surviving monsters being 7 lvls higher => you're a rogue, so you can make yourself invisible - I only can do that if I keep standing, not when I walk. IIRC there are invisibility potions (?) - but the Druid is not high enough for that.

BTW, I started a dwarf now - hunter again. I love killing with axe and shotgun. Why hunter again? Because I want an animal at my side - I'm dreaming of a Pridewing dragon. Though... maybe I'll try to tame it as an elf, I'm allowed to keep several animals, not tried it yet.

Flight masters => true, have to find more of them.

How do you fare with the last patch? I'm not very happy about it, had more crashes than I like.
Kiya

Edit => WoW will be available in Germany mid of April again. So, it seems to be sold out nearly. I got one copy online and paid 80 EUR for it as I was impatient.

Wow. Kiya's playing WoW? That's cool.

Glad to see you around the forums

Enjoy the game.

Is Cleglaw still seen in the game? ( To anyone here who plays it ) I think he left the forums...

I rarely come to Larian. If you wish to contact me on WoW, log on to the Terenas server with a horde character. Type:

/join lurkers

This will give you access to the Lurkers chat channel. Send me a message and I will reply if I am logged on. I play daily. Alternatively, send a letter to Magead ingame and I will respond.

I am glad you are all enjoying the game.

It is absolutely ridiculous! There are 1,5 million peeps playing it and and I can't buy it, bcause it is out of stock in Estonia, out of stock in Finland and any online store that ships farther than US. F***k! And they say it may be will be available somewhere mid-april.

Great, now you casn buy gfuild wars instead . Otherwhise, mid april isn't that long. The jews wandering throught the desert took 40 years ffs.

(I think it was 40 years at least, and if it's true or not is not really the point here.)
