here's what I did in my pc in order to play the game, hope it works for you

1:) I uninstall daemon tools from my pc
2:) I install the freeware Virtual CLone Drive 5.0.1.3
3:) I install CloneCD 5.0.4.2
4:) Make an image of CD1 with CloneCD 5.0.4.2 and select the Game CD Setting
5:) Load that image with the Virtual CLone Drive 5.0.1.3 and start enjoing the game

Let me know if it works, a friend of mine bougth the game at eb games and
could not play the game either, but with those steps he can now play.

You saying this game didn't worked with daemon tools?
Man this is hard to happen. You tried just uninstall the daemon tools and install again?

yes I know it is hard to believe but the game has a
protection called CDDVD EMULATION that does not le t you play the game
unless you turn it off. The thing is I did disable it, and it woulnnd't
work untill it is uninstall. Now this is what I heard for now. It could
be people that have the game working with daemon tools, but not to my
knowlege!!

Vampire is protected by SafeDisc3, which is NOTORIOUS for giving people "CD/DVD Emulation Software Detected" issues if the user has any of the following installed: CloneCD, Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120%, Nero, and Roxio. Maybe, CloneCD & Alcohol 120 are the ones the often cause this error.

Other games that have had this issue b/c they are protected by SD3, from my knowledge: The Sims 2, Painkiller & Doom 3.
